I live in the East Bay and was given a tip to contact Slam Dunk Pizza by a local family contact for an upcoming event in the area. Contacted Slam Dunk Pizza about a group order for 50 people. Spoke with Stephanie about our needs and she provided all options and gave an honest assessment of what she thought would be best for our event. She gave me a quote and asked me to call back the week of the event so we could all align. Spoke to Matt as we got closer to the event so he could provide the right amount of staff in advance to make our pizzas, salad, garlic bread. Placed the order with Michael, their manager, the day before the event. Since it was a Friday evening takeout event, we wanted to make sure we didn't cause an issue with Friday night events like High School Football. We had a 5 pm pickup for our entire order and it was picked up with any issue. The quality of the 12 XL pizzas we ordered was awesome! Salad dressing for the XL salad was provided on the side as requested to avoid it becoming soggy and the garlic bread was superb. Stephanie, Matt, and Michael were great to work with and matched their word 100 percent. Everything we discussed was delivered by the team at Slam Dunk Pizza. Their attention to detail and products provided were 100 percent spot on and helped us deliver on an awesome group event. Arrived to pick up an order to go and saw their outdoor tables covered in trash from what looked like a large group. Not the first time I've seen outdoor seating left messy and unbussed at this establishment. Have never seen staff sanitize the counter or registers, let alone between customers - but have seen them host large parties in the outdoor seating area. Apparently being outside makes social distancing less important? Editing to add that the owner has claimed via private message that they do not host large parties in the outdoor area which is plainly visible from the road and especially the parking lot. Like a diamond in the ruff. This place doesn't seem like much from the outside but inside there's TONS of area to sit and a big salad bar. The staff are all smiling (even in this heat!) and so helpful and fast. The young man at the register tonight was so warm and inviting to a big group of out of towners. He was super knowledgable and enthusiastic. While he helped them a nice young lady got me my to go order. She too was very enthusiastic and cheery. Delicious pizza and garlic fries! It was a little weird when we first got here as the workers were standing outside talking and seemed to have gone inside when we got there (don't blame them, the place was empty). We walked inside, ordered our food, and went to go play with our kiddos in one of the biggest arcades in a pizza place that I've seen in a while. Customer service was awesome, everyone was so nice, and food was yummy. I forget the names of the pizzas we got but basically we ordered a cheese pizza and a margarita-style pizza which was DELICIOUS. Garlic fries were also crispy and covered in garlic butter. Good food, but I don't think my family will be back until their service improves. We went in tonight an hour before close, a full hour, and left after an older lady stared at us like we were idiots for not know what we wanted the instant we showed up. She also quite obviously starts talking to the other eployee about how at 9:30 they have to start cutting it off. I told her it would take us a minute to figure it out and she snatches our number off the counter and yells in my face, can I help the next customer.. then another customer walks in and she loudly remarks that "they just keep on coming in". Seriously? An hour before you close it's that big a of a problem to have a few customers? Well you won't have to worry about the inconvenience of our presence. We left. If I could rate the food separately I'd give them a 4 star rating. Their pizza and wings are good and I would much rather support a local business than a big chain, but that's the only reason I don't give it 1 star. read more

Come here as often as I can. Great food fun place. My buddies and friends come on Sundays often to watch football. Even had a super bowl party in back room back in 2019. We had atleast 70+ people and ordered tons of food abd staff stayed on it and got all the food served to us in a timely manor and always with a smile.
