I have been a loyal Slam Dunk Fan since it opened its doors. I love love love their variety! From die hard pizza fans to picky eaters, there is something on the menu to please everybody! Come here as often as I can. Great food fun place. My buddies and friends come on Sundays often to watch football. Even had a super bowl party in back room back in 2019. We had atleast 70+ people and ordered tons of food abd staff stayed on it and got all the food served to us in a timely manor and always with a smile. We just had a order delivered. The delivery driver was very rude. Questioning my order. Assuming that because only my car was in the driveway i was the only one home. Asking if this was actually my order. Since he just delivered another order the same size to a large group of people. I didnt realize that i had to confirm how many people were in my house before i ordered. To insinuate that this order was for one person was comletely uncalled for. He even asked if i could carry it by myself. And when We called to complain they said its just his sense of humor. No. That is not how you treat a customer. This is our last attempt of ordering from slam dunk. Just not worth their bad customer service to order from their. Their food is ok. But again not worth their continued bad unprofessional service. I ordered a pizza,wings and blue buffalo fries today at 11 o'clock . Everything was mediocre including the blue buffalo fries that didn't have any blue cheese on them and were completely dry. Slam dunk offers a decent Pizza, has a ever expanding variety of menu items, delivery service, and family friendly fun game room, which is alittle pricey (but what arcade isnt... plus we all know ukiah is lacking in the kid appropriate/family activity/rainy day establishments- so i really cant complain.) We have also thrown more than a few parties at Slam Dunk- as they offer different size room rental packages for birthday parties/other gatherings/events ect. I also have to mention that I see this business involved and a lot of community services and other activities- which is great. I love the idea of community support- neighbors helping neighbors, thats the way it should be. So why only 2 stars you might ask? It saddens me to even tell this story... but my baby brother was working at slam dunk for a time period and loving it! He seemed to be doing really great, loved his new friends, customers, and of course the pizza. A little while into the job on a busy night he made a mistake, but nothing unfixable. My brother came home after midnight that night after working an 11 hour shift. He was exhausted, upset, literally almost in tears, and had just quit his almost year long job. He explained what had happened and that he had made a mistake, apologized, and fixed it to the best of his ability. He said he felt awful already, but his manager was in a bad mood, pissed off and called him a "f****** retard." This might not be such a huge deal to any "normal" person, you might say... but this case is alittle different. You see, my brother suffers from mostly unnoticeable physical disabilities along with other mental health disabilities & anxieties that were a lasting result of a hate crime that almost took his life when he was just 12 years old. So to this person, it was a HUGE deal. The situation was unmendable. My brother was devastated, beat down by someone he was not only grateful to and liked, respected, but also someone he looked up to as a mentor, a teacher. THIS RIGHT HERE broke my heart. read more

I just finished my yummy slam dunk pizza. We ordered a gluten free pesto with a coue of toppings and a regular pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms and a salad. I sat and watched the young man and woman phone team while i waited for my order to be prepared. Those 2 are amazing! This was not the first time i watched them work while waiting for my pizza to bake. They consistantly hussle. They actually check the order to make sure its right. The young man prepared my salad per my order and he brought it to me with dressing and silverware! The young woman checked the boxes to make sure the correct pizzas were in them! They were polite. They made eye contact as soon as i walked in and said they would be right with me. I was impressed. The pizzas wery fabulous. The salad was fresh and the dressing was yummy. This pizza is pretty good. My husband and I are driving home to Oregon from San Fran and needed some dinner before we stopped for the night. We got a small pepperoni pizza, small garlic bread, and a salad. For starters, the salad was super good. Everything was pretty fresh and they had sprouts! NO ONE ever has sprouts and they are my favorite. The house dressing tasted like a ranch with feta cheese in it, which was good too. As for the pizza, I got my half with ranch sauce and my husband got his half with normal red sauce. The pizza was a little greasy but oh so cheesy! The pizza was so good that I ate it cold the next morning. My only downside was that it was a little loud. We would totally go all the time if we lived here. read more

This place is more deserving of a 3.5/5 but since I'm not allowed to do that, I'll be nice and bump it up to a 4/5. Slam Dunk Pizza definitely has more of a small town vibe and taste to it's pizza than urban. Their toppings are solid but not the best in town. Their buffets are pretty unorganized and have a small variety of options as well, but sold at a good price that does make me want to come back. The inside isn't the cleanest and it doesn't have the best atmosphere of pizza places in Ukiah, but a great place to host a birthday party or special event as they have booths and even an arcade. read more

At 7:00 we Placed an on-line order, paid with credit card. The confirmation email said 1 hour. 8:00 came and went. 9:00pm. We called and two people tried to find the order. After 10 min and a accidental hang up, they told us that they somehow lost our order but would make it and it would take another 40 min. We had a long day of traveling with two young children and yes, they were hungry. So, now it's 9:30 and I'm waiting for my to-go order at Applebee. There was a newbie who helped us so ordering took a little while and he didn't seem that interested haha I mean he's working I get it but when we'd ask a question about the menu he wasn't sure how to answer (which is okay cause you're new) but he wouldn't find out the answer (he was probably 15 or 16 haha). Incredibly generous with their toppings! crust-to-crust stacked about a half inch high. sizes are huge! the gluten free crust was bigger than anywhere else i've gone. my husband's "large" size was about as big as the door to our top-loading laundry washer. when i called for delivery & asked about their gluten policy, they said they kept everything separate. They were super busy when I called, but I didn't react like i was glutened, though I'm not always the most sensitive & i did take glutenase because it was my honeymoon. paid for delievery by credit card- the driver said they can't add tips on that way, so have a couple of bucks handy. which sucks, I would have given him more because they delivered during a flooding storm. This is so sad that I have to only give 2 stars because their pizza is actually really good and there are not many kid-friendly places in Ukiah But after having given them more than enough attempts over the past year, I can say that we are done going there. Same experience every single time. Here is why: 1. Poor customer service. Long lines are the norm, and there is usually only one person taking your pizza order, running the bar, boxing up to go items etc. No queue, so it's never clear who is up next, who's waiting on what, etc. On Friday nights especially, you need a more efficient system. 2. Warm beer....both draft and bottle...every single time. Ick. 3. The salad bar is always a complete mess! Food everywhere. Maybe it's the person who mans the bar/orders to do that too. 4. The arcade is arguably the reason most families would choose to go here. But it's the worst part. Not once have we ever come where more than half the games are broken, most eat your tokens then nothing happens. There is usually one poor overwhelmed kid behind the counter trying to deal with the 50 screaming kids waiting for help. And the ticket counting machine jams up on every other person. If you choose to wait for any help, it will be a looong time. What should be a nice relaxing family evening has invariably become frustrating. It does not have to be like this. If it were my place I would take a few Friday nights to simply observe what is going on thru the customer's eyes. Might be enlightening. read more

Phone service is horrible. Was on hold for almost 20 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was over ten people working. Only one cash register. I stood in line forever while the customer in front of me was on her phone while ordering. Then after waiting 35 minutes to arrive, I had to wait an additional 15 minutes at the restaurant. I'm updating my review to give this place another star. The pizza here has been better than it was on my first visit on several occasions. Tonight, we were calling around to pizza places to see who could accommodate a gluten allergy, and guess what? Slam Dunk was the only place we called (we never called Marinos) who could help us out! Round table has crust, but takes no measures to avoid cross contamination (at least they were very open and honest about that part). Being that we have food restrictions in the family, and the pizza here is pretty good, it would seem that this is our new place to go. For anyone who has a gluten allergy, this should be your destination here in town for delicious gluten free pizza! read more

I am not a huge pizza fan like the rest of the free world, I'm a word, I am WAY TOO PICKY! (Please ignore typing mistakes, I have misplaced my glasses) I was very happy I was able to order each half of the pizza exactly how I wanted it, even more specific than anywhere else. I don't like a lot of sauce, where the other half is normal amount, and the allowed me to get it just that way, usually (everywhere else) the pizza has to be the same sauce amount everywhere so we have to decide if we get extra for everyone else of if I get to wipe some off if too heavy. It also have a nice amount of gooey cheese, some places to get this amount I would have had to order extra cheese, so very nice job. read more

This place is the best pizza in town. Always flavorful and packed with toppings everytime! The lunch buffet is also very good def worth the price. The only downside was that it always seems to b a long wait at the register. Don't really understand why the cashier needs to bartend and take cash. This place is a great spot for some family fun and good pizza, especially when the weather is not so nice. There's a nice size arcade on one side of the restaurant, with lots of games, a photo booth, and skee ball too. I liked that the arcade is separate from the dining area by some easily accessible doors between the two. Made for an enjoyable lunch without it being too noisy. They also have two good-sized party rooms available in the back of the main dining area. Our pizzas (cheese and hawaiian) were delicious, not overly greasy, and toppings and crust were tasty. Visited for their lunch special. AFTER paying $14 I was told there was pepperoni, cheese and veggie. I was served two slices of pepperoni. After finishing them, I was told that lunch was over (1:35PM) and that they had "a couple slices of cheese or veggie" but could make no more. All I can eat was the offer and they fell woefully short. I've come to expect better from Slam Dunk being locally owned. They could have at least informed me of their limitations before taking my money so I could make the decision whether to stay or eat elsewhere. read more

Staying in Ukiah for the night and needed delivery as I'm just tired. Called because of good reviews and the person who answered was very friendly and helpful. He said that delivery would be 45 minutes and it was only about 35. Always a plus. Pizza was good and salad was better. Delivery driver was very nice and said it was his 2nd delivery.
