They came out dryer than a bone, cold. I want warm, butter flavor, salty, and these have none of that. They look good, but have half the flavor and are so expensive. Came here for a quick bite while doing some shopping at the outlets. It's a fast casual sort of joint, so you order and pay at the counter, choose your own seats, and they bring the food out to you. We chose outside since it was a sunny day but cool. We ordered a protein bowl and two giant fish tacos as well as an order of fries. The bowl came out first and was missing the rice and the greens had brown edges (obviously old and not cut today). The fish tacos came out, but one was the with wrong fish. The guy bringing out the food (same one at the counter) must have put it in incorrectly and immediately blamed the kitchen. Then he went into a diatribe of hating this job and being on the verge of quitting. He was very unhappy (apparently about the pay) and had just started the job. After lots of fuss and going in to check on our food (and get my rice and forgotten fries as well) we received and consumed our food. The tacos were decent (made with NZ Hoki), the bowl was disgraceful, but the fries were hot! Maybe they're better off serving fried food? It's definitely a no frills place for a quick bite. I really liked the theme of the restaurant and it was a hard choice but I ended up with Mahi Mahi tacos and clam chowder. I loved the clam chowder-so flavorful and bacon is always an added bonus. The Mahi Mahi tacos were so much bigger than I expected and came with a side of chips and sauce. They were so generous with the Mahi Mahi. For fast food, this place is yummy and expensive. All sandwiches come with either a side of fries or a salad. The grinder lobster roll was the perfect size, buttery and tasty. The fries are well seasoned with something like old bay (or maybe it was old bay) and was crispy on the outside and potatoe-y on the inside. The surf and turf was generous with the surf though the patty for the turf reminded me of the frozen burger patties from costco. We received the free lobster taquitos with check in which were nice and crispy, not oily. The filling is only in the center so there's excess flour tortilla. The girl taking my order didn't know what was in the dishes either so I just ordered what I knew would be decent or so I thought. The market price for a lobster roll today 9/3/22 was $35. The prices are getting a little ridiculous, but I understand everything goes up with inflation. I can order a whole family meal with this price. I found that when you check in, you can redeem an order of lobster taquitos with a purchase of course. I was giving a ride to a friend coming up to Park City and decided that maybe I should have dinner up here and people watch for a minute or two. Found this place, Slapfish, nearby the Chevron Gas Station at exit 145. Plenty of parking stalls since it's in a shared lot with the rest of the shopping center. A few adjacent stores like Whole Foods Market, Nail Salon to name a few are within walking distances. There are about 20 tables seating up to 4 chairs. The tables are acrylic finished and the chairs are metal back-supported. I came here to try out the "Lobster Grinder"! I read the review on here from others and wanted to give it a try. After waiting a while 15 minutes, it came out. Much to my surprise, the Lobster Grinder is compacted into a small slice of toast; much like a reduced French Toast bread! Mindful that it's about $16.50 for the meal (Fries included), one would think it's pretty big; at least the pictures I've seen painted that thought! I came, I ate, I tried! My conclusion is that it's a bit over-hyped and a bit expensive. I understand it's about 8:30pm but come on folks! I'm giving this place a 4 stars, only because of the time I had to wait and the small disappointing portion for an expensive item. $16.50 could have bought a nice steak at Olive gardens. Where to begin to describe the issues. Ordering: I asked for one item to be packaged to go and the rest to stay. Didn't happen. Order of lobster roll arrived but it looked like a grilled sandwich. "Is this my lobster roll?" Yes. She double checks my receipt again and says yes. I take a bite and she comes back and says no and takes it away. I can't believe I have never stopped here before! I had the grilled ultimate fish taco. My parents got the clobster sandwich and the fish and chips. Everything was perfect, and while it may take a little time for them to make your order fresh, everything came out as soon as it was ready. Was sold expired milk. My daughter drank half a bottle and seems ok.. but my son had very bad stomach pain immediately and had to use the restroom. The manager was apologetic and offered us a coupon for free food and offered to remove our bill. We explained it's not about free food or the bill. We don't believe it's his fault and he's clearly doing his best which is why it's a 2 star review and not 1 star. There's previous reviews of food poisoning which is a bit unsettling. I came here for lunch and it was pretty good, but they can do so much better. I started with the Lobster Taquitos that were HEAVILY drizzled with awesome sauce and on a fried flour tortilla. Although the taste was decent, there was so much sauce on this that is was way overpowering and way too messy. I also found the tortilla overdone fried and would probably taste much better non fried and with much less sauce. The New England clam chowder was pretty good with red potatoes, clams, bacon and was about the right size. Although I should have simply have ordered the lobster roll, I was went for the Lobster Grinder - chilled lobster, shrimp, and crab, spiced aioli, packed into a split-top butter roll. Husband got the poke bowl which was perfect proportions of fish, veggies, rice and quinoa- it was definitely the best dish we had. I got the salad with the crispy fish and it was great - the veggies were crisp and fresh, the fish was light and crunchy and the chimchurri dressing was delicious. It took us a minute to decide what to order since there are so many great options, healthy ones too! They offer seafood rolls, wraps, bowls, and plenty of appetizers. The Lobster Taquitos were offered as a Yelp check in offer and they were delicious. They were perfectly crisp on the outside with a tasty lobster filling inside. My Power Bowl was delicious and well balanced. The shrimp and rice were tasty. The rice had a chimichurri style sauce on it that was delicious. The salad had nice leafy greens and a great tasting vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed his Clobster Grilled Cheese. We ordered the chowder fries a epic shrimp burrito and an epic fish burrito. After 25 minutes they delivered our fries. The fries with chowder, cheese and bacon was really good and a great combination of flavors. After 30 minutes they brought us two epic shrimp burritos. When they delivered it the server stated they made an error and were going to make me a fish burrito to go, which was really nice. The burritos were very good and the chips and salsa it came with were also good. They shrimp burrito was better than the fish burrito I ate later. We stopped in for a quick lunch. The ambiance was clean, open and inviting. We opted for the Mahi Mahi bowl. Husband doesn't enjoy avocado or cabbage so we had the slaw and avocado slices put to the side. I ate them and the slaw was wonderful. All purple cabbage with light dressing. It was refreshing and delicious. The Mahi bowl was a lovely blend of fresh vegetables, grilled fish and rice with a sriracha lime sauce that was more lime than heat and did not overwhelm at all. But let's talk about the sweet and spicy cauliflower bites. I will be smiling all day about these bad boys. Perfectly breaded with tempura batter for crunch and then a sweet spicy heat that was like a honey drizzle with a kick. Absolute magic. I just want to keep eating these. We tried the seasonal offering of the clam chowder bites. What a cool concept. They were delightful and left us wanting more. To complete our meal, the Tractor brand drinks were a sweet way to compliment everything. They offer Strawberry dragonfruit, Mandarin cardamom and Farmers punch. This was my first visit ever to a Slapfish restaurant and in the culinary wasteland that is Park City, UT, I was happy to have another option in town. I was attracted to the adorable logo and the cute, clean look of the restaurant. I love seafood and there are lots of healthy options here. Yes, you can get your seafood either grilled or fried, so opt for the grilled. We went a little overboard because everything sounded yummy, so we ordered the lobster taquitos, half and half housemade pickles (half plain, half breaded and fried), a grilled salmon bowl with slaw and veggies, and a lobster grinder with fries. The best thing by far were the fried pickles. Delicious fresh batter and a spicy pickle spear. The portion size was outrageously large, we needed about half of what we were served. The worst thing we ordered were the lobster taquitos, which were freshly fried but looked like they were mass-produced and frozen, and they hardly had any stuffing or lobster filling inside. Don't get those. My salmon bowl was fantastic, the fish was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, and the portion size was just right. When you order a bowl they slap (ha ha, get it?) your sides on the bottom then plop the fish on top. This was kind of weird because I had slaw that was cold and then hot veggies with a piece of hot fish on top. I'd ask for the cold side on the side next time. There aren't a lot of side options but the veggies make it easy to get a low carb / paleo friendly meal. Hubby liked his lobster grinder but he didn't exactly rave about the seafood -- his favorite thing was the buttery roll! The fries were cold and gross and not worth eating. Everything had the same slightly vinegary taste which was fine with me but probably wouldn't be with others (especially finicky kids). The pickles, the slaw, and veggies all had the exact same seasoning on them. The soda fountain has those natural sugar sodas and only one sugar free / diet option (Diet Coke, GROSS). It's self serve though, which is a plus. The service was friendly, efficient and welcoming, and the restaurant was very clean. The prices were reasonable considering the large portion sizes.
