I've been wanting to try their lobster rolls in Huntington Beach for a while now and was surprised they have a location in Park City! Since it was so close to where we were staying, we decided to dine here for dinner. Slapfish is a fast-casual restaurant, so you order and pay at the counter, grab your number and also get your own drinks, sauces, and utensils afterwards. We each got our own lobster roll and shared the chowder fries, and a salad. The chowder fries came out first and was overflowing with soup! It was really flavorful and we almost killed it before getting our rolls. None of us read the menu, so we didn't know that each roll comes with fries already LOL. I love fries, so I was still able to finish my portion. The lobster roll was delicious and had plenty of lobster pieces as well. The salad was very refreshing and I loved the tasty dressing it came with. I can't wait to check our their other locations in the LA area since they're closer to home. read more

This was my first visit ever to a Slapfish restaurant and in the culinary wasteland that is Park City, UT, I was happy to have another option in town. I was attracted to the adorable logo and the cute, clean look of the restaurant. I love seafood and there are lots of healthy options here. Yes, you can get your seafood either grilled or fried, so opt for the grilled. We went a little overboard because everything sounded yummy, so we ordered the lobster taquitos, half and half housemade pickles (half plain, half breaded and fried), a grilled salmon bowl with slaw and veggies, and a lobster grinder with fries. The best thing by far were the fried pickles. Delicious fresh batter and a spicy pickle spear. The portion size was outrageously large, we needed about half of what we were served. The worst thing we ordered were the lobster taquitos, which were freshly fried but looked like they were mass-produced and frozen, and they hardly had any stuffing or lobster filling inside. Don't get those. My salmon bowl was fantastic, the fish was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, and the portion size was just right. When you order a bowl they slap (ha ha, get it?) your sides on the bottom then plop the fish on top. This was kind of weird because I had slaw that was cold and then hot veggies with a piece of hot fish on top. I'd ask for the cold side on the side next time. There aren't a lot of side options but the veggies make it easy to get a low carb / paleo friendly meal. Hubby liked his lobster grinder but he didn't exactly rave about the seafood -- his favorite thing was the buttery roll! The fries were cold and gross and not worth eating. Everything had the same slightly vinegary taste which was fine with me but probably wouldn't be with others (especially finicky kids). The pickles, the slaw, and veggies all had the exact same seasoning on them. The soda fountain has those natural sugar sodas and only one sugar free / diet option (Diet Coke, GROSS). It's self serve though, which is a plus. The service was friendly, efficient and welcoming, and the restaurant was very clean. The prices were reasonable considering the large portion sizes. I wouldn't be surprised if in 6 months the portion sizes shrink considerably. I don't know how they can make money serving up that much food in one order. read more

Over priced food with service that was terrible. Lady ringing us up (Danica) was not wanting to answer my simple questions. I finished with what's in the salsa as it was my first time. Her answer its salsa. Not going to go into every detail of her. Ordered the Clobster, it was cheesy but the sandwich was soggy and overpriced at 16. Honestly it was terrible. Ordered the housemade fried pickles, was charged. Later manager came out (dressed unlike he worked at the establishment) and was apologetic and said we're out of pickles so I made you tequitas instead, look they are $2 more you are getting a deal. Instead of asking me if I wanted s substitute or just a refund, it was pushed into the bag and on we go. The taquitas were dry and tasted like they were previously frozen, needless to say thrown away as photoed. As we were walking out comically... we heard Danica say to the manager, this is the last of the salsa then were out. The salad was the best thing in the order so that is why the rating is a 2 the other in my party said it was a 1 out of 5 as the service made the whole meal unejoyable and it tasted bad. You can get either fries or a salad when ordering a roll or sandwhich. For $36 I suggest going elsewhere. Mod pizza next door has way better salads. Afterwards we went to Whole Foods, bought 2 Ben and Jerry's ice cream, devoured them and everything was better. The place was not dirty imo, from what we saw. There is outdoor seating available. We did not use the bathroom. We were excited to try this place out as were staying across the street at AC Marriott but it was not worth the mention from AC. read more

Maybe their food is great, but WE will never know! We're in Park City for our annual ski week, and ordered ahead on their website. We were so happy to see such a great menu and a professional website...we place an extensive order for our family of four adults (my husband, myself and my in-laws). We set the pickup time for the food for a full hour and a half later, since we have some errands to run beforehand, and pay in advance with a credit card. Over EIGHTY DOLLARS. We arrive to pick up our food, and the cashier says he has nothing for us...then looks around, giving me only his partial attention, and finds something on the cash register with my first name on it for $13 (a partial order that hasn't even been begun). He suggests maybe I sent the order to another location, I say no I'm sure I didn't, can he please check again because I got a confirmation screen showing I paid and it was an $80 order and a lot of food (I'm currently waiting for the screen to come up on my phone, but he says they have no Wi-Fi ). After speaking with the manager, he says unless we can show him a receipt showing we paid, we are out of luck. Well, I understand...but YOUR ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM IS UNRELIABLE. What's worse is that it looks incredibly professional, but isn't! We ended up going next door to Mod Pizza and getting $60 worth of pizza, salad and drinks in about 10 minutes, instead of having to wait 45 minutes for Slapfish to redo our whole order, saving us 35 minutes and $20, so I guess we win? If you feel lucky, try their online ordering. Who knows HOW their food tastes. read more

What happened to this place? When it first opened it was really good and we used to go a lot. We went yesterday for the first time after the pandemic, and sadly the place turned for the worst! 3/4 of tables were empty yet they were pretty much all dirty. Order took forever and my husband got his 10' before me. He ordered the fish and chips and he received a big bowl of fries with a tiny piece of fried fish. Food is good but the workers don't care about the place....dirty tables, soap in bathroom empty and the toilet is leaking, windows are filthy. For the prices they charge for the food ($18 for a medium sized fish bowl), the place should be clean and care for. The outdoor benches need to be restained and maintained. The food here is good. But they will cancel your delivery on any platform after it has been processed (usually 45 minutes to an hour later) and state they don't do delivery. Just a heads up since delivery is listed here on their page, and they have prominent delivery logos on their website (for platforms they say they don't support). Just had yet another order cancelled when the driver got there to pickup the food that was ready to go and they told him they don't support it and I'd need to come pick it up. Saw this place as we were parking at Whole Foods. Dropped in spontaneously and ordered to go for 4 people. Very reasonably priced. We had quite a few of the menu items and also some of the kids menu items (a bargain for $5 which included a drink). The shrimp roll was my favorite, and the poke bowl was also decent. They have a wide selection of fish and an additional daily fish list which they update with prices and availability. Strangely they seemed to close at 8pm and we were the last people served at about 7.30 and then they turned some other people away- so get there on time! Staff were friendly but also the young guy serving us wasn't able to find out whether the citrus dressing had vinegar in it so I docked them a star, but otherwise a good spot for quick/ healthyish food. They have indoor seating and also sell beer. Give it a try, especially when other places have crazy long lines on busy days. read more

I had the opportunity to try the clobster grilled cheese and the surf n turf burger. Both of which were very tasty. You'll probably need a fork for both of them because you may find your toppings falling out all over the place, because these things are loaded and cheesy. The fries are also great with a good amount of seasoning. The topping of the burger was very similar to the filling for the grilled cheese, if not maybe the same thing. Upon entering, Slap Fish seems to be nothing new or exciting. The menu can seem quite scattered and not sure of itself. However, when your food does arrive, you are greeted by not only the main dish you ordered but by an ensemble of flavors. I really wanted to make this a 3.5 star if i could. It's a really cute joint for fresh, fast seafood. With lobster rolls, fish tacos, fish and chips, etc. there's a lot of options. I got the grinder which was crabmeat, lobster meat and shrimp mashed and put on a butter roll. It was OKAY. It was a bit spicy and the seafood kind of blended together. The fries are REALLY REALLY good though. Really crispy and perfectly potato-y. My husband got the shrimp taco and it's one giant taco so basically better to eat with a fork. The shrimp was nicely battered and it had a lot of flavor and crisp. If you check in you get lobster taquitos. Same spicy sauce as the grinder. I had it as leftover actually and it was tasty ;-) Fast food joint but a bit pricey. Upwards of $15 or even $50 for two people. read more

Wow... this food smacked! After living in San Francisco and Chicago, my food standards are said to be high. The fish tacos straight up tasted like I got them in the Bay.. Third visit here, so figured I would go outside the box a bit with the Clobster Grilled Cheese (photo below). Two buttered pieces of Texas Toast encase cheesy goodness chunked with lobster bits. Not a lot of spice in there, but the cheese and some sort of sauce make up for that with a zesty kick. Buttery goodness and more than filling. So I was so excited to check this place out when I was in town. I got the free lobster taquitos with the yelp check in which I was super excited about. My girlfriends got the same thing. However, mine was super soggy ( but still tasted good) I wish it was more crispy like a taquito. The lobster roll was delicious ( really rich though). I also had the coleslaw which was so good!! My girlfriend had the burrito and said it was really good just hard to eat. I recommend getting the taquitos for sure but make sure you tell them to make them crispy and sauce on the side. I have been curious to try Snapfish. I was somewhat disappointed in the portion size of the large "bowl" (?) of clam chowder for $6.50. It was okay for taste, though, a little thick for my preference. The lobster taquitos were similarly okay with what I believe was a mayo based filling in an overly think and uncrisp shell, all drenched in a spicy mayo sauce. For both taste and price to portion size, I will likely continue to search for my local seafood fix. I am definitely not impressed enough to spend $24 for their lobster roll. read more

Since it was just me at the counter I saw a container behind the counter person. I should have asked if that was part of my order also. Get back and the fries are cold and the coleslaw is missing. That was the container on the counter. I call and say I'll walk back over for hot fries and heading coleslaw. I ate my fish while it was hot and it was delicious. I walk back over and trying to say something positive I say I'm the guy for the fries and coleslaw. I also say the fish was excellent. He points at the counter and says nothing. Like sorry about that etc. wow. Ok when I got the fries they were hot and truly excellent. WHY on earth when you're slow at night would you not cook them fresh for orders vs those hanging around. I'm sorry to leave a rotten review, but I am. The girl at the front counter was super sweet and apologetic. She told me they were out of shrimp and lobster.....uhhhhh WHAT!?! So that meant no ceviche either. Okay I settled on poke bowl and fish and chips. It was good, but how do you run a fish place without lobster and shrimp?
