I'd give this place 5 stars but there was one particular person that tried to ruin my wife & I's evening. This rude white woman with curly red hair... She never said her name or what her position was at the restaurant. It was over 100 degrees on this day. I was carrying coconut water to stay hydrated. When I sat down she approached me & said it was illegal to bring outside drinks into a restaurant. Illegal? What a liar? What was her purpose? To try and scare me? Am I going to be arrested? There is no law in Utah or any federal law in the USA that states it's illegal to bring an outside drink into a restaurant. All she had to do is say "I apologize but we prefer no outside drinks in this restaurant, may you please place it under the table" and everything would've been fine. Nope she wanted to try an intimidate me. Maybe she's prejudice towards Latinos. It is Utah but who knows? The food was great, the Latina waitress was nice too. When I got the check, I used my business card to pay, I just paid off the balance on the card on Friday but it was Saturday & the payment didn't clear yet. Not knowing this the card declined. No big deal... But instead of my waitress coming to my table to inform me my card declined, it was Pipi Longstocking (White woman, curly red hair) again... Letting everyone sitting around us know my card declined. I used my Business Amex Platinum this time and that was that. I really enjoyed my dinner with my wife. We had such a lovely experience here. Every dish felt really special and thoughtfully done. We started with the house-made focaccia with whipped ricotta, which was incredible. The Utah elk with huckleberry jam was a standout, such a unique and well-balanced combination. The elk ragu was also amazing, super rich and full of flavor. I loved that they source locally. It really shows and makes the whole meal feel even more special. The presentation of each plate was beautiful. We have been here a number of times. You have to get the chick peas even if you don't love them. They are so crispy and yummy you will love them. The elk ragu was a huge serving and well done. The homemade rigatoni had the perfect bite and the ricotta mixed in added extra umami. The Elk steak was good not great. It came out more rare than med rare so it was a little chewy. The sides were inconsistent - crunch carrots and mushy potatoes. The wine list is good enough and the service was solid. The one buzz kill was the waitstaff attire. Our server and busser both had wrinkled and food stained shirts. We had a 6:15 reservation so maybe it was just a rough night. And it was daylight and the place does not look like fine dining without table cloths on tables and chairs arranged at the tables appropriately. read more

We started off with and old fashioned and a Paloma, both were amazing. We had the octopus for a starter and it was so full bodied and diverse, it was awesome! I had the elk ragu which was phenomenal and my husband had the bison steak. He said the meat itself was great but the rest of the dish was just okay. The deduction in star comes from the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée... it was not good. At all. Not even in the slightest. The custard was pumpkin-like but was very bitter and lacked any form of sweetness. I will start by saying I love this place! We have never had a bad meal and we stopped in last week and was, again a solid experience. We always start with the garlic and sesame chickpeas. They are crispy and ever so tasty. The wife went with the trout, which is pan seared filet served on rice with perfectly cooked asparagus. I almost always go with the burger but I switched it up this time and went with the utah elk and that was a stellar choice. Perfectly cooked with two very flavorful sauces and the portion size was generous without being over the top. Service is solid. The staff leaves you alone but also shows up at the right time to take care of you when you need them. The place is located in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. There's no way this place should be given less than 5 stars! I took my wife here for Mother's Day, along with our son. My wife has several food allergies: gluten, celery, and shrimp. Not only did the restaurant accommodate these allergies but the chef visited the table and walked through every item for my wife. He also returned to check on us after we started eating. Needless to say, the food was DELICIOUS! Great presentation and taste! Seasoned (not the case at many restaurants)! Additionally, the servers were so great with our son and continued to provide excellent all-around service. The hostess greeted us with delight and mentioned the high chair we requested on the reservation. We highly, highly recommend this restaurant! Crispy Polenta with Mushrooms 8/10: I loved the texture of the crispy cakey polenta and the mushrooms had a savory slightly spicy undertone to it. Delicious! Ragu Rigatoni 8/10: this was a really solid standard rigatoni! No complaints. I liked the ricotta cheese on top and could've had the pasta a *little* less al dente but otherwise really solid choice. Duck 10/10: delicious, amazing, outstanding duck! These flavors were an insane punch in the mouth of creamy comforting but also slightly zingy. The butternut squash puree paired so well with the spice-packed duck. Can't recommend this enough. Coconut tapioca pudding with caramelized bananas 8/10: this was also a really delicious dessert. My only suggestion would be to make the tapioca pudding cold. We recently went to an Indian restaurant that served the coconut tapioca pudding over ice and that was a great way to cool down our palate. read more

Modern American cuisine from a very talented chef, Adam Ross in the park city area! The place has a high-class modern look but nothing crazy with natural lighting being a small quaint but inviting vibe; I didn't feel cramped with a party of 8. There is a myriad of food options, inviting cocktails, and a nicely put together wine list that lets you know there is genuinely alot of effort from the owner and staff. The service is endearing and correctly attentive and they decanted my bottle of châteauneuf-du-pape I requested well. The starters are all excellent, Brussels sprouts with the kimchi is exciting and so tasty and the Foccacia would please anyone when paired with the accompanying whipped ricotta and balsamic/olive oil. While I loved the Harissa brown sugar lamb ribs I wish they had a little more meat. The entrees were all stellar with the start of the show being the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Chicken Coq Au Vin. The Duck is so tender with the confit duck fried black rice, apricot herb chutney just enlightening the whole dish. The Chicken Coq Au Vin is rich and filling with a very generous portion I don't think anybody could not love this. The Elk is probably the best I've ever and was brilliantly cooked but the cherry compote and curry is just complimenting the elk wonderfully. Lastly the trout was fresh and similarly to the rest was a great meal with the Black rice-quinoa being so unique and the green dressing with tomato pesto just brings the whole dish to life! All the desserts are unique and wonderful with the accompanying wine pairings being great! I'm a Level 2 Somm and I was with guest that can be hard to please at times and had no complaints from anyone our whole service. This was a wonderful meal and service through and through! read more
