While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.

The first time, I needed someone to come out and remove snow from my roof and gutter and to salt those areas as well. Mike did come out and completed this work, but his price was insane! He charged $165 for that and I don't think he was even out there for one hour! I paid the money because I was desperate. The second time he came out was to patch two small holes in my gutter. He initially quoted me a price of $300.00!!! When he saw my hesitation, he changed his story saying that after inspecting the gutter he would only charge $190.00!!! Again, I was desperate because we have yet another impending snow storm and I wanted to make sure the gutter was intact. My handy man who was not available at the time later said that this job should have been about $25.00! The work Mike did on the gutter was satisfactory but I am giving only 1 star because of his gouging practices! Shame on him! I will for sure never use them again!
