I'll be surprised if I don't get an infection from this place. I won't ever go back. The towel she used to do my nails over smelt horrible and was clearly used multiple times as she shook out other pieces of someone else's nails. There was no heat all women working there were wearing multiple jackets I was so cold. The pedi water turned my feet blue. She repetitively filed down past the acrylic through my real causing me to bleed multiple times. I'm never one to complain but to download yelp and feel the need to write this I could save a person from having the same experience. I couldn't wait to leave I honestly thought I was being pranked.

Just a liner and some regular degular water... no salts or scrubs.

I usually see Chi, but everyone here is wonderful. She does any fun design I ask and always does it well. They have comfy chairs, an ATM, a TV, and couches to sit on while you wait. The prices are typical for this area. Bring cash to tip.

I have only been coming here for 2 months and I love this nail salon. Chi is the absolute best. She is creative, artistic and pays attention to details. After reading all of the wonderful reviews... I decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad I did. Traci did a great job on both my pedicure and nails. She kept asking did I want a design and I really didn't but asked to look at what she could do. She handed me her phone to look at an album of nail designs. I didn't see any that I wanted but decided to look on Pinterest and I found one that caught my eye. She told me that she wouldn't be able to do it because it was too hard... I appreciated her honesty. So I just decided to go with leopard print on my big toe nails. It takes a while to get your nails/pedicure done, but it's because they take their time and do the job right. They paint your whole nail which seems to be hard for most nail salons to do. I'm glad I tried this salon out, I plan to become a regular.

Paint job subpar - especially near the cuticle where the polish is streaky.

Really unhappy with this place. On first glance it was not clean as the couches were dingy and water bottles and Capri sun containers were left all over them. My manicure experience was so disappointing I declined the pedicure I was planning on getting. I have short weak nails that I work very hard to keep strong so I asked the tech to trim my cuticles and push them back before putting acrylic tips on to have more surface area on my nails and she completely refused stating she can't do that in case I bleed (???). Instead she ground at my nail and cuticles with the grinding tool which led to me being cut three times - the tech did not care about this. I needed a nude pink color for my nails and I asked if she had a color like that in the dip powder. She said she'd use the regular polish I picked and just use natural dip powder, this sounded fine since it was my first time getting the powder. When I declined the gel polish and told her I wanted the regular polish like we discussed she was visibly annoyed at me. What resulted was a crappy paint job with three cut/bleeding cuticles and nail glue left all over my fingers. My friend I was with (they separated us) had a bad pedicure experience stating the chair was painfully rough and the massage was barely existent so she declined paint. Will not come back here or refer anyone here. It's really difficult to find good nail salons and we were hopeful with the other good reviews we saw but it was just all around not good.

Just writing to say I'm still an Evie's believer after all this time! I've been going to Chi religiously and she always does a phenomenal job. I get Pinterest-worthy nails every time I see her. Check out those Christmas tree light nails! I've always been happy every time I see her and highly recommend the services of Chi.

The quality of their service is below the standards. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and I had to ask the person to clean my toes, cut the cuticles, and file my nails equally. She was not very pleasant with my requests and I wasn't either. I shouldn't be asking for these at first place. Not to mention that my manicure was gone by the third day after my visit.

I stopped in for a quick eyebrow wax, when I say quick I wasn't expecting it to be 2 minutes.. The lady was extremely rough she didn't hold my skin while ripping the burning wax off my face, needless to say I was red and sore for 3 days Tweezers were not used to clean up the stray hairs neither did she offer a mirror . I didn't really notice until I got home how crappy they looked after I cleaned the wax that was left in and around my eyebrows. Awful. read more

After a year inside my house, my nails were looking beyond busted. I'm new to the area, but I decided to come here after work because I was really desperate to not look like I didn't care about myself lol. This is very nice on the inside and very clean. I got a gel manicure and it came out beautifully and it was only $25! I will def be coming back for a pedi and mani next time. read more

Went as a walk in, was told I might need to wait a few minutes. It was 10 minutes max. The staff were attentive, friendly/pleasant and professional, and my nails look awesome! I'm clearly particular about nail salons but I know I will be back! read more

Just answers the phone and tell you to come for an appointment then they don't honor. They take your name tell you to come and never look at the book or the sign in sheet. Say for over an hour with no acknowledgment then she apologized saying all the people had an appointment and when I told I did she looked at the booked and laughed saying oh yeah here you are! NEVER EVER have to worry about me coming back and I'm spreading the word on your unprofessionalism!!!! read more

I have been here over 15 times since my last review and can finally attest to the fact that this place is excellent. The technicians are so sweet and the owner, Vi, makes her customers feel like they're family. The salon is super clean inside and they are always stocked with different colors of polish. My favorite person for pedicures is Chi, but they are all good. In addition to nails, they do eyelash extensions and waxing and have private rooms for these services. If you live in Huntingdon Valley, Abington, Cheltenham, Northeast or North Philly, I highly recommend the drive for the excellent service you will receive. read more

The most intense pedicure I've ever had. I went to Chi and she is amazing! She did 4 different designs and was very precise!! I showed her the design and she did it perfectly with no mess ups, great shop and very clean I came at 6:15 on a Monday I've found my new nail salon !!! Update read more

WOW. My new fav place. Their spa pedi's are SO thorough, long and amazing. I've had many pedi's but my feet/legs have never been so soft afterward. They also did an amazing job on my eyebrows, ending it with a little temple massage! I highly recommend coming to Evie's! Best spot in the NE (better than Viva, Epitome and Queen)! read more

From the very beginning this salon has been 5 stars. Quick response time to questions, accommodating a bridal party pretty last minute, staying open later in order to get us all in (very popular salon) and helping to make the bride feel so very special. They were ok. I felt like it was kinda rushed. The girl that I had also nipped me but did nothing to disinfect or patch it up. They are a good salon I just feel as though they really need to slow down. I also came during the middle of the day when there wasn't too many people there. There really isn't any reason to rush. read more

Very nice salon. The nail tech helped me pick out a gel color that was ideal for natural nails and wouldn't chip. A lot of reviews complain about chipping but the nail tech explained some gel products are better on acrylic nails than natural nails. Not too many of the natural gel colors but still not a biggie for me since I rarely go color crazy. I really enjoyed the hot stone massage during my pedi. It didn't last long but felt soooo good! I was very pleased and I will be returning. I went on a Monday morning and it was empty. read more

So I made a detour today and tried a new nail salon and I'm so glad I did!!! Evie's salon is clean with all new up to date equipment and colors galore!!! Vi did my nails and my eyebrows, she made me feel welcome as a newcomer! She has a GREAT personality! I'm so glad I made that detour! I love both my nails and my eyebrows ! read more

Visited Evie's to get a gel manicure and was very pleased with the service. The salon is clean, well lit, and everyone was welcoming. I signed in and was presented with gel color wheels and boy oh boy are there a lot of colors! Next I sat with Vicky who was excellent. Gentle cuticle care, light buffing, and perfectly applied polish. Vicky made sure my nails were cleaned up with no gel under the edge or on my skin. It's amazing how many nail techs skip that step. She also made sure to apply cuticle oil and gave me a nice hand massage. I'm so happy with how my gel mani turned out! Also my daughter has gotten her eyebrows waxed and nails painted and they did a great job with her too. I don't get my nails done often but I guarantee when I do I will definitely be returning to Evie's. Thumbs up for Vi the owner for running a top notch nail salon! read more

At the suggestions of my good friend I visited Evie's shop. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the decor and brand new EVERYTHING. Upon my arrival I was treated extra special since this was my first visit. I was shocked at the amount of gel color available. I loved the massage chair and music. I received a gel mani and pedicure. Price was cheaper by paying cash. Service was impeccable and will be a continued customer. I have received so many compliments on my nails and toes. BAD BUSINESS!! I always loved going here until my debit card was charged twice here, I was charged $107 for a refill and pedicure. As soon as I saw the double charge on my account I notified the owner and she assured me that the charge would fall off, it's been almost two weeks and she has done NOTHING to help. Her bank even called me and informed that they had indeed made a mistake and my debit card would be refunded within 3-5 business days and like I said it's been almost two weeks. I now have to take time away from work & my son to file a complaint with my credit union to fix this mess that the nail salon refuses to take ownership and fix. Don't get me wrong, they do a great job but DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD! This is just BAD BUSINESS! read more

I live in VA but I was gonna be in Philly for the weekend so I looked up a nail salon close to where I was going to be. Evie's Nail Salon came back with the highest rating. My niece and I arrived at the Salon a little after 11. There were three people waiting when I got there so I expected to wait. This place is definitely worth the wait!! My nails turned out GREAT! I got a gel manicure and my niece got a regular manicure. Vi did my nails and added a really cute design!! I definitely recommend this place and will return next time I'm in town!! 3 of us came in for manicures and pedicures on a Thursday afternoon. We had made appointments for noon and made it just in time before the afternoon rush. They have tons of colors to pick from so be sure to pick something before you sit down in the chair. The salon is very clean and staff is courteous and friendly. They make sure you're feeling comfortable with the pressure, temperature, etc. every step of the way. We had a good time with some light conversation with the employees. If you're not feeling chit chatty, they have tvs and massage chairs so you can sit back and relax during your pedicure. read more

I showed her a picture of coffin nails with a pink tip on them and she decides to just ignore what I show her and keep my nails almond when I specifically told her I wanted the new shape. I did not want to ask her to reshape them, considering she was already being passive aggressive towards me when I asked her if she could do the nails, I showed her in the picture it felt like she didn't want to even do them at all. Her attitude was disgusting and she'll make you feel like you're in the wrong for asking for what you want. She finished doing my nails and I left somewhat happy because I thought they were pretty enough but when I showed up to work, everyone told me to go back and get them redone because I couldn't see the scuff mark she left on my tips and my nails were already scratched up, forming these weird bubbles at the top. So I came back the next day to ask her to just redo them and to shape them how I wanted her to shape the mind you she charged me $50 for short almond nails with a white tip on them and I even tipped $10 for them. She proceeded to yell at me saying none of her customers ever came back to her, asking her to redo nails and that I'm the first one as she was just so out of proportion acting crazy yelling at me in front of others and even when I was the last one in the shop basically telling me that there's nothing wrong with clearly there was even the first lady when I walked in there she saw there was something wrong with my nails and called her over. Even though Julie had no clients from 5 to 7 PM. She had an attitude with me when she should be grateful. I even came to see someone so terrible as a nail artist if that's what she wants to call herself. The entire time when she was doing my nails, she was digging into my skin. She even left me on my skin. She was even filing my nails so hard and this was because she was angry and she didn't treat me that way yesterday. It hurt to the point where I wanted to cry also the entire time she was speaking to the other woman who has some sort of skin problem. I don't know her name, but I'm gonna call her out because she was sitting there half the time that I was getting my nails done and sure they were talking about me. At the end, she has the audacity to ask me to give her five more dollars because she made my nails shorter. AFTER SHE ASKED ME THIS HER FRIEND STARTED LAUGHING ON SOME BULLY BEHAVIOR.! I should've just not gave her the five dollars and asked her to take it out of her tip from them day before because she was nowhere near deserving of even getting a tip. IT TOOK HER CLOSE TO AN HOUR TO JUST DO FRENCH TIPS SHE CANNOT DO FRENCH TIPS JUST ADMIT THAT YOU CANT AND DONT REDO THEM FIVE TIMES OVER ON A SINGLE NAIL!!! Do not go to Julie if you want someone who is half blind to do your nails I feel bad for those who are her clients. They are probably older age and don't even notice the mistake she makes and she makes everything such a pain to just fix. If you can't be criticized, honestly, you shouldn't even be working in a nail salon. You should be somewhere practicing how to do nails because I have never been more disgusted with somebody who can't do nails and complains when someone comes back to get the nails redone because you've never learned to properly do nails. Julie do better and do us all a favor and get off that chair and go back to nail school. One more thing to add, she had the audacity to tell me that my nails were messed up already before I even came there which defeats the purpose of me even coming to you to fix my nails because if you claim you're so good at what you did on my nails The day before then why couldn't you even fix what I brought you? You know you're in the wrong Julie do not go to her if you want your nails to look like somebody did them while blindfolded And to torture your nails even more by digging into your skin just because she's mad. Get some new glasses, Julie and maybe be considering renewing your license being a nail tech.

I am very sad that I have to update my last review because I thought I had finally found my go-to nail salon. This past Saturday the weather outside was beautiful and so of course I felt the desire to go get my nails done! I fully expected that the nail salon would be very busy; therefore, I knew that I would probably be there for a while and I was okay with that. I waited for just under 2 hours until it was finally my turn to get my nails done. Many others were called before me even though I had gotten there first, but I knew these people most likely called ahead so that didn't bother me. What bothered me was when it was finally my turn there was another customer (who I am guessing is frequent customer there) who was pressuring the nail tech doing my nails to rush. This customer asked my nail tech how long my nails would take, "Twenty minutes," answered my nail tech. The customer looked frustrated and told my nail tech that she needed to be seen as soon as possible because she had somewhere she needed to be (don't we all have somewhere we need to be, though?). My nail tech proceeded to do my nails, this time I decided to go for SNS tips because I was feeling fancy and hadn't had long nails in a long while. The process of doing my nails was very rushed. She spent all but a total of 5 seconds trimming my cuticles (she only trimmed two small pieces of skin on 2 separate finger nails), remnants of old nail polish that was on my nails previously was still visible underneath my nails, etc. I am all for valued customer loyalty, but rushing through doing my nails because a regular customer is being very rude and pressuring you? There is nothing that bothers me more about nail salons than rushing through one customer just to get to keep your valued customer happy. My nails looked decent when they were finished, but they definitely weren't as well done as they could have been if more time was taken. Rant over. The search continues for my perfect, go-to nail salon. read more

I have been going to the owner of Evie's Vi since I was about 14! I am now 30 and I would not go anywhere else! Wherever she has gone I follow and now she is back in her own shop! The place is beautiful and the staff is welcoming and top notch at what they do! You always leave there feeling like part of the family!!! I suggest everyone go and check them out!
