I actually would give it zero stars or even negative 5 stars if I could. Let my ignorance be your lesson: I got suckered into a laser hair removal package because it was 50% off and had a "lifetime warranty." I am fair skinned so I asked the girl I met with if that would be a problem and was told "nope, our lasers are so good that the hair will be gone." I was thrilled because I have always been told it would not work because my hair is too light. No more shaving or waxing?! SOLD! Yeah right ... $3500.00 later and I was on my 15 or 16th treatment when the 12 year old "Technician" with too much make up and less than zero people skills told me that "I did not shave well enough and would have to come back" ... Excuse me but I SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE TO SHAVE AT THIS POINT!! Anyways, good luck getting an appointment ... you have a better chance of getting a date with Pitt or Clooney than getting an appointment there unless it is schedule 6+ months in advance. I was put on a "cancellation list" for a call if anyone cancels. The manager was less than helpful and pretty much said "too bad; sorry our technician has zero people skills and refused to treat you ... but thanks for your $3500!" Shockingly (sarcasm, sarcasm) no one called. My "lifetime" warranty was voided, I am still shaving and am out the $3500+ I paid. I got the full body laser hair removal package that was extra expensive because it was for life. I was supposed to do as many sessions as I wanted. If I had regrowth, I could go back and do more sessions for no extra charge. The front desk told me it was okay to go out of the 6 week period of time that is suggested for maximum results. I especially asked if it would affect my contract, I was told no. I walked in for my session and got told I violated my contract and I need to now pay for sessions. I talked to a higher up on the phone, he told me four full body sessions is all he could do and I would have to pay for more after that. None of my money was refunded. NEVER trust this company. My mother and I bought a package together for the full face hair removal laser. We were promised by the sales rep. Abby (no longer at the SSP location) that the procedure was only 6-8 sessions and our hair would be completely gone! Come to find, my mother is having her 20th session done this week with little to no improvement, and me 21 sessions this coming Monday, with almost no improvement. Luckily for us, this is lifetime warranty..so I guess we will be coming here forever because their lasers don't seem to be working for us. Another negative aspect: If you miss your appointment or re-schedule, you will need to wait WEEKS until the next available appointment. honestly, everytime I walk in, there are no customers around. I don't understand why I am waiting weeks for the "next available appointment." I had a very unprofessional dumb blonde laser my face. The BIMBO shaved my face right before the laser (which they offer if you do not shave before going in) and she gave me 2 cuts on my upper lip and 1 cut on my chin. Worst business ever!!! OH my GOD!! They charged my credit care for surgery i didnt have! Never met with a surgeon for consultation and months later i am still waiting for my full refund! I have been going to Sleek for Botox and Photofacials (IPL's) and generally have had very good experiences. I am careful with my spending and have shopped around. Sleek understands that the medspa industry is competitive and they offer great package deals if you let them know what other pricing you have been able to find. Book early! Guys and Gals, the type of equipment a medspa uses is of paramount importance! Sleek's machines for IPL's are state-of-the-art. Do your research, not all equipment is created equal. The technician is another very important part of the equation. You want someone who has experience! You want to make sure you see someone who is aggressive enough that you get results (overly careful techs waste your money), but who also understands the limits of your skin so you don't get burned. I have seen "Sara" and she is fantastic. Sara also told me about Sleek's "Brightener" product. I didn't feel like she "pushed" the product. I felt she knew how good it is and wanted to make sure I knew about it. I always get a ton of compliments on my skin after I use it, so GREAT product, although it's a little pricey. For Botox, I have seen Jeff. He is very skilled with a needle, he understands my needs, he is honest and will tell you as he sees it, and he's a good guy. I have had to go back for touch-ups and he has always been very accommodating. The only problem is that he is popular, so it's sometimes hard to get an appointment! I give Sleek 4 stars and not 5 for a few reasons. First, I wish Jeff had more hours, or Sleek had another Botox professional on staff in Braintree. Second, sometimes the packages are too much stuff and too much money upfront. Perhaps Sleek could tailor packages by age group or personal use history. I gave it 3 starts because one of the techs really was great, very experienced and took the time to do the job properly. Two of the ladies were in need of extra training which does not bother me until my face was burned twice. The ambiance is nice...the waiting room is comfortable (not great but comfortable). I have been to 3 different sleek spas in florida and Boston so compared to the other ones, I think the one in Braintree is the one I liked the least. The spas in Florida were very well equipped and the staff was amazing!!! Really really wonderful so after coming from such a great experience, i expected the same in Boston. I even convinced my mom to go there as well. It was a mistake. The service is ok but the fact that I really dont have confident on the experience of the techs and the fact that twice already my face was slightly burned to the point that for 3 days I had to put lots of medication to alleviate the pain and marks is completely crazy. If i was you, I would do more research and probably go to a dermatologist instead. I tried a few spas in the area and after being so dissappointed with the service, I dont think I will try any more treatments ever with Sleek Medspa. read more

I've been going to Sleek Medspa for about three years now. I do the laser hair removal and micros/peels with them and I love them. So far I've had a pleasant experience with both the results and the staff. I come on proper rotation for each service and am almost done with my laser hair removal. At first, due to the excitement of the service, I was hoping to see results sooner. However, as explained to me by the technicians and the consultants, this is a process of which the length of time and number of treatments varies per person. And yes I too have had to purchase more than one pkg but I knew that signing up. When you purchase a specific number of treatments, you can't expect to get more than you pay for just because you need more! Thank God for the lifetime guarantee now though! So this is not for you if you do not have patience. Nothing works overnight people! Anyway, you just need to be wary of your exposure to the sun, which we all should anyway, because if you are too tanned it will throw off your whole 8 week schedule. There was a time where I was a bit too dark and had to be turned away to reschedule. Ya that was a major bummer but I had to take a moment to realize that A) I didn't stay out of the sun as I was supposed to and B) the practitioner was just looking out for my own safety, which is what you want when someone provides a service to you anyway! So once was enough for me to learn my lesson. The staff is friendly and helpful even though they're very busy all the time! I've seen them have to put up with nasty people on more than one occasion while at the same time in the middle of helping two other people! I usually do get a different practitioner every treatment but that's fine. If that's a problem than just request the one you'd like! You've got to speak up, you can't get mad at them for not being able to read your mind! Plus they're all on a rotation schedule anyway so you're basically seeing the same 3 or 4 people anyway. On terms of scheduling, yes it can be a bit difficult but they're open 7 days a week, which is more than you can say for any other spa, and you just have to keep up with your appointments. If you cancel one that you made 8 weeks ago, you can't get mad at them that nothing is available until another 8 weeks or so. That's how their schedule has always been! Why should it be different just because you as a patient happened to cancel your own appointment?? That's not bad customer service because everything is booked....there is only so much time in a day and so many days in a week, they cannot create time for you!! I personally have had numerous calls whenever there is a cancellation which shows they still work on trying to fit everyone in! Overall this is a friendly, professional place that I am glad I signed up for. Pretty soon I will be hair free and the three years of treatments is worth it to me as opposed to a lifetime of shaving or waxing! It's a scam - they recently went from a nice downtown location to Braintree and West Roxbury. If you purchased their laser treatments (which do not work well) they give you a lifetime guarantee with a catch - you can only go in during off peak hours.. well now that you've closed Natick and Boston.. and the new Boston is only surgical you leave Braintree as the only option - Gee.. sounds like the majority of your downtown customers will not be revisiting you or ever purchasing other services. Buyer Beware.. stay far far far away. I was lured back by deals (shame on me) but received chemical burns and razor cuts during various services. They are not professional and you can get far better pricing on micros and peels elsewhere. read more

Sleek is a rip off!!! Took extra money from me and my daughter for a lifetime guarantee and then just decided to cancel it with no refund!!!!!! Reported this to attorney generals office and also signed up with possible class action law suit. My daughter and I have gone here twice for botox. They make you pay up front and I overpaid so I had come back a second time. Both times I've been there, I was on time but had to wait over an hour to be serviced. There was no one else there, and the staff were present yet in their own worlds- talking on the cellphone and pacing back and forth in the hall. The customer service was very low for what they try to make you believe is an "upscale" spa. The prices are more than double the spa my sister goes to in Boston, and they do not tell you anything about the procedure prior. They just want your money, and will treat you like dirt. I went to sleek spa at Braintree Massachusetts. At that time, they had a life time promotion for a hair laser removal. I bought this package; I started the laser hair removal for my face. For the first few months, the customer service was nice, however the time spent on me was too short compare with the first month. I signed a bunch of paper, one those I had to initial that I will be there every six weeks, in order to get the result expected. After couple years, I got some improvement, indeed I was still getting a lot of hair. Then every time I went to my appointment 5 minutes late I was asked to reschedule, when I reschedule. No appointment was available after the six-week time frame, couple time my appointment was canceled. However, I was there so many times with to get a service after 10 to 15 minutes. On my last appointment, I was told that a life time promotion that I got was canceled because I DID NOT KEEP UP with my appointment every six weeks. To make me happy I was offered two more appointment. Then I was told " I am sorry that it was what I was instructed to do so, if you need help contact the corporate office". In May 2011, I was told that Sleek would no longer be honoring their contract. They told me that some customers, not me, were abusing their contract. I was handed an 800 number to call. I have called several times and left many messages and guess what? No one calls me back. I received one email reponse with a number to call, they didn't call me back. They send me surveys and ask me to recommend them constantly. If there is a class action lawsuit out there, I'd love to know about it. Do not waste your money! I originally purchased laser treatment for the face area. Which never worked. I was told I should purchase another package and that they guaranteed this time it would work. They just got in new lasers and it came with a lifetime guarantee. After my 22nd visit I was told I should no longer come because it will ruin my skin. Can someone tell me how 22 treatment's = a life time guarantee? When I called the Braintree office to see what could be done about the lies that I was told I never got a response. I had left 3 messages for the manager. Do not get me wrong the girls in that office are very nice until you have a problem than they want nothing to do with you.
