Absolutely unacceptable experience. We booked this hotel while evacuating our home because of a wildfire, after spending hours trying to find any room available. When we arrived, we were told our reserved room was no longer available because it hadn't been cleaned and there was no housekeeping staff to clean it. We offered to clean the room ourselves. We didn't care if it wasn't perfect. We had just evacuated our home and simply needed a safe place to sleep. The hotel refused without giving any explanation and made no effort to find a solution or help us in any way. To make matters worse, they acted like they were doing us a favor by refunding the room. Refunding a room you can't provide isn't exceptional customer service. It's the bare minimum. During an emergency, when people have lost access to their homes and every hotel in the area is full, a little compassion and problem-solving would have gone a long way. Instead, we were left with nowhere to stay. I sincerely hope no one else has to experience this level of indifference during a crisis. read more

The location is good, the breakfast is decent, and the housekeeping staff-especially Crystal-was wonderful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. There is essentially no usable Wi-Fi on the far end of the building, despite the hotel advertising it throughout. If you work remotely, don't stay here. The biggest disappointment was Brandy at the front desk. Her customer service was unacceptable, especially for a family hotel. She was dismissive, showed no empathy, refused to acknowledge the problem, offered zero solutions, and couldn't even give a simple apology after I made multiple trips to the desk for help. Instead of trying to make things right, she acted like helping guests was an inconvenience. Good housekeeping couldn't make up for the poor customer service and unreliable Wi-Fi. If I could get this place a negative rating I would. So I get checked in to my room, the Front desk agent is giving advice about the room as if she is an expert. I then walk up to the room to put down my bag so that I can go back downstairs and get my large suitcase. (Btw there are only stairs, no elevator!) As I walk into the room, I noticed the TV is on... I figured maybe housekeeping left it on? I continue to walk in the room and I immediately see someone stuff on the bed, and I freak out. I make my presence known in the room and I immediately exit. (Just incase someone was in the bathroom) I went back downstairs to tell the front desk, girl that someone was in the room. Her immediate response was, why does this keep happening? She then grabs the key, assigns another room and says she's gonna go check the room. When she gets back and hands over the new key, I ask her what reassurance I have that no one is going to come into my room when I'm not there and potentially take myself, or when I am there. And that this was a safety concern. Her response was... well all I can ask for is Grace, i've only been here for three weeks and I'm new. No apology, no reassurance. This is never happened to me and is completely unacceptable. She then continued to say that management has not been helpful to her, and they don't know why rooms keep getting double booked as well. read more

We are traveling cross country with 3 small dogs and have stayed in several hotels. I'm a bit of a clean freak as well as sensitive to noises (doors slamming, loud people, etc). The gentleman that checked us in yesterday was very pleasant and accommodated my request to have a room closer to the end of the hall (to let the dogs out). The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. This was the least amount we've paid for a room so far, yet it was the cleanest and most comfortable. The breakfast also offered more than any of the other places we've stayed. Highly recommend! read more

This place was easy to find with quick access to the highway and at least there are a couple gas stations nearby with mini marts. My first impression of the common areas were that they were really nice. The staff were a little on the quiet side, but still friendly and helpful. The room itself was okay, not as clean as I'd like and the bedding was stained (permanent, not just dirty). The pillows were just the worst. They tried to shape them like squares and then fold in the pillowcases so they looked nice, but they were actually just really old, broken down standard pillows that were super uncomfortable. I've never seen anything like it. It was difficult to keep the temperature comfortable and there was a light switch right next to one of the beds that pretty much guaranteed you'd touch it multiple times during the night (which mostly just messed with people trying to charge their phones). I spent a few extra dollars to get the mini fridge in the room, but there also was a microwave, both of which were handy. The biggest issue we had was with kids running up and down the hall A LOT. I've never been anywhere that this was a big of a problem as here, not sure why that is. They do have an indoor pool and hottub. The pool is not heated, but wasn't freezing cold either. Their breakfast was one of the best I've seen, especially for grab and go style. They do have some seating and a nice coffee/tea station just outside the dining area. They had other beverages like milk, juice, and water as well. Food choices were similar but not exactly the same each day. They had bagels with tons of spread choices, cereals, multiple types of breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, danish, breakfast bars, oatmeal, just a lot of options. That definitely made it a good deal when we could get food we actually really wanted. My only other issue was the lack of housekeeping. I understand not daily cleaning, but you really should at least make every other the standard. It's about a half hour to theme/water park and maybe 10 minutes to other businesses. Another absolutely fine stay here in Post Falls. We wanted to get out of town and take the grandson on a little indoor swimming adventure, and once again Sleep Inn filled all our squares. Our room was clean as was the whole hotel. The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was not as it has been in years past, but that's totally understandable under the current circumstances. The only problem we had was Grandpa had a few too many malt liquors and he snored like a clydesdale horse with a cold, but that of course wasn't this nice places' doing. You get what you pay for...... It was $100 a night and an OLD hotel that they had tried to fix up..... not well, I might add. The pool was closed, the breakfast area being remodeled. The rooms are small, there had been several roof leaks and it hadn't been repainted yet.... Chunks missing in the wallpaper, overspray in the paint. My little family of four booked this hotel for two nights. We were given three different rooms before one was clean enough to comfortably sleep in and even then I cleaned spots in the room. The first room had a crusty substance on the bed skirt, nasty used q-tip stuck to the bedding, grease covered chair, and visibly soiled bedding. The second room had blood on the bedding as well as bloody boogers wiped on the wall. The third and final room, which we finally just had to accept due to not having the funds to go elsewhere, had soiled bedding and a brown substance all over the bathroom walls. The worker helping us was extremely nice and apologetic, also seemed embarrassed. However she did mention to us that she was asking her manager for a refund for us and we never did receive any contact after that. Do not stay here. read more

To start right off the bat, as soon as I entered this 140 a night room it smelt like straight up human secretion, poop, and legit anything bad out of a person you can think of. The bed, one of the main aspects in a hotel room had sexual fluid stains on the comforter, which is a lack of effort out of management and the maid service for not bleaching or getting new comforters for the rooms when something that god awful happens. The pillows provided are a small-scale square that you can find on someones couch. The bed is decent enough to sleep on but will leave you having a sore back the next day. The TV has 12 working channels, which are mostly commercials and you will be bored out of your mind wanting to leave your room the entire time! As far as the general building is concerned, you could say I am thoroughly disappointed to say I have spent hundreds of dollars staying in this dump. I could've gotten an AirBnB for cheaper, or seriously stayed at a hotel farther away from our ultimate destination of this trip. Meetings of crackheads/tweakers outside the building, the most foul smell you can think of as soon as you exit your car, sticky floors, dirty food area with the most overpriced vending machine you can imagine. The vending machine lacks food, is out of stock, and has pretty stale food. On the bright side of this hotel, you get their mediocre pool and hot tub which is on maintenance MULTIPLE times a week. The janitorial staff could've done a far better job at cleaning the place but at-least it was not unbearable and quite pleasant to escape our room. This hotel is advertised as a "Pet Friendly Hotel" which is honestly the most twisted thing they could call it. You get charged a $250 fee if you don't announce you have a pet, and when you do it is a $20 fee! You are not allowed to leave your room without said pet or they will come into your room and take your dog to the pound. You will be required to sign a waiver containing over 18 things about your pet being at this hotel. The management sucks about their pet situations considering you can hear dogs barking at all hours and they will not do a thing about it. Honestly if you're thinking about staying here; just don't. You'd be better off at a Motel 6 rather than this dump. If you want a bang for your buck please go somewhere else. There is hotels nicer & closer to many of the cool things in this area. I am disappointed in this entire situation and would get a refund 100% if I could. read more

UPDATE: Stayed here again in January 2017. Met again with AMAZING customer service. The lady who checked me in (wish I had caught her name) greeted me within seconds of me walking in, had a huge smile, got everything done quickly, and even chatted with me and another guest. It actually felt like she enjoyed talking too--not that fake pleasantry thing. The customer service here trumps every other hotel I've stayed at--even expensive ones. Love this place more and more with every visit. Room was super clean as always! ~~~ This is my go-to hotel if I'm just looking for an inexpensive, no-frills stay. The price is possibly the lowest for a hotel you'll see that is this clean and has the perks of a more expensive hotel. Rooms are small but like I mentioned very clean. Our room only had a walk-in shower, no tub. Bathroom is also pretty small but I'm sure the accessible ones are much bigger. Instead of a closet there are wardrobes in the room. All the same amenities you find at other places...fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. Toiletries are your normal run-of-the-mill hotel ones. Not really scented and leave you feeling squeaky clean. Plaque on counter does say if you forgot a necessity they have complimentary ones. Towels aren't super fluffy but they are soft and dry well so I'm ok with that. Beds are on the firmer side so if you're a soft bed person this may not be the best for you. Coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. Pool and hottub open 24 hours for adults 18+ and until 10pm for kids. Pool area is clean and nicer than most I've seen in hotels with this price range (I would compare it to a Hampton Inn) This stay we were checked in by Jillian, who was professional, really sweet, and made us feel welcomed. When I went down to breakfast I was also greeted, but I didn't catch the name of the girl who said "good morning". The employees are top-notch here. Cons: Rooms are smaller; walls are a little thin so if you're a light sleeper hearing people in the halls might drive you crazy; toiletries aren't the best. Pros: cleanliness, friendly staff, breakfast has a lot of hot and standard continental choices, price. If you're not from around here within minutes there's a Cabela's, Walmart, Zips, a struggling outlet mall that still has a few shops, fast food places, and a bit further down the freeway you have the perks of Coeur d'Alene and in the opposite direction Spokane. Prime location if you're here for whatever reason...shopping, outdoorsy stuff, about 30 min or so from Silverwood. read more

Never staying here again. Got there at 2:45am and my room wasn't even clean. Beds were not made, food everywhere and the do not disturb sign was on the door. They made us wait like 30 mins for them to make the beds in the new room. I only got $50 refund. Found a total of 5 bugs in the room throughout the whole trip. The microwave and fridge is extra charge. That was not on the website. There was barely any water coming out of the sink and the toilet makes noise when flushing. Also when we got there no parking. We parked way in the back. A bunch of u hauls were taking up parking spots. Also the second night key cards stopped working so had to go to the desk. read more

I was nervous at first cause I never stayed at Sleep Inn before, but my first impression when we pulled up was really good and everything during our stay was perfect. There are many parking spaces in a well lit parking lot. The front desk employee (from Tampa, idk his name) was very welcoming and nice. He told us everything we needed to know about the stay and it was a fast check-in. Our room was a queen room on the second floor and it was very clean, with towels and sheets that smell nice. The shower was big and gave hot water. Quiet room, and the curtains kept the room dark and perfect for sleeping. They provide good toiletries and there's a little sign that says if we forgot any bathroom essentials to see the front desk for complementary replacements. They might mean like a toothbrush or something. Not sure how the food service was because we didn't go downstairs for breakfast. Everything went so smooth and peacefully. The price was right and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay again at this place, and it's highly likely I would stay at a Sleep Inn again. read more

After a long drive, it was great to check in with a courteous front desk attendant & enjoy a still warm chocolate chip cookie. Free WiFi & a computer with printer were available. Downside was printer is black/white & grainy. Pool was open but water was just changed out so it was cold, as we were warned upon check in. Continental breakfast available from 6-9 AM includes yogurt, cereal, scrambled & hard boiled eggs, bacon, a waffle-maker, apples, milk, juice & coffee or tea. The room was a single queen which was decorated very stylishly. Upon taking my shoes off however, I noticed the carpet was a little sticky. I left my shoes on from thereafter surmising this was due to it being a pet friendly inn. There was also a spider on the ceiling, which was definitely an unwelcome addition. The rooms have the blackout shades however & despite the close proximity to the freeway, it was quiet enough to get some much needed rest. In the morning, there was a bunch of water in the bathroom as the toilet was apparently leaking. As I was checking out in a few hours, I opted not to use that time requesting maintenance. In fact, I called and asked for late check out. She was very accomodating saying to give a check out time & she'd do her best to make it happen. Check out is normally at 11 AM. At 10:30, as my daughter is in her swimsuit & I am resting, housekeeping opens our door, without knocking, sees that we are there & closes the door. I heard two voices, a man & a woman talking in hall. A moment later, after my daughter & I are confused & asking each other about why housekeeping enters without knocking before checkout time, they knock and quickly open the door again & this time say "oh you're still here," which they clearly saw just a moment ago. I called the front desk & reminded them of late check out & she asked what time we were told for late check out & said she'd let housekeeping know. Later, as my daughter was walking down hall to get some water, she hears the maids chatting loudly about using pills for sleeping. On her return pass a maid yells harshly from inside a room, "who's out there?" Up until the privacy breach & rude, unprofessional housekeeping however, the economical $80/night room was sufficient for my needs. I'm not accustomed to this style of in your face housekeeping "service" though & I left feeling agitated instead of well rested. read more

Don't Do It! Two words: stay away. First off the room had an extremely weird smell, like stale tea. Then after searching the entire room for the TV remote, we call the front desk and it turns out we have the "broken TV room" which should NEVER be a room in any hotel. We had been camping for a week in the mountains and were looking forward to finally watching some TV but no, this hotel did not have the TV they advertised. The desk clerk said she would get us a 20 or 30 percent discount so we said OK. A few other things: The room itself seemed very unclean. There was what looked like dog hair in our sheets, spider webs in the corner of the room, and the toilets had not been scrubbed for a while. The shower pressure was reminiscent of a children's drinking fountain and if you enjoy sleeping on a bed as firm as plywood, by all means look no further. To top it off, the carpet had an oily film on it, relegating me to flip flops for the remainder of our stay. The next morning we woke up to find a folio under our door with no discount. After waiting in line to talk to the grouchy clerk we were told that we would only receive the 20 percent discount, which would have been fine under normal circumstances but at this point it was insult to injury. Will need to check the bank statement to see if they actually applied the discount... Long story short, we will not be saying at a Sleep Inn anytime soon PS. The ONLY redeeming quality if this place was a nice lady who checked us IN and was working by herself. Rachel or Rebecca, something like that. read more

Not sure if all the rooms are just very different, but I stayed here with my boyfriend and his siblings about a week ago while we went to Silverwood. They have discounted Silvetwood tickets ($7 off if I recall), but they were still cheaper for us at Costco. For us at least, service was actually very nice. Housekeeping was super friendly. The only issues I had was the our room was not ready when we checked in and maintenance was rude when they tried to come in our room. The front desk lady let us check into another room though, but the maintenance man couldn't really be helped. Our room was actually quite large and fully furnished for a two double bed nonsmoking room. There was a fridge, microwave, and decent sized bathroom/shower. Our room was very clean also and was cleaned well the next day. The pool was down our first day, but was up again the next day. However, the water was freezing and the hot tub was too hot. Breakfast was pretty good and they do have cookies at the front desk also. It's a nice hotel for the price, at least it was for me. I stayed 8/24-8/26 and I booked through Expedia. read more

We are spending a few days at silverwood so we are here for two nights. We are a block away from a huge outlet mall (both sides of the street and it goes for blocks) that appears to be closed and waiting further development. Very "middle of nowhere zombie apocalypse". It's a good half hour drive to Silverwood. The people that work here are nice. The woman running the desk after 8:00 sits outside and smokes all night. She looked very much like a working girl. Not the Melanie Griffith kind, either. Now you know. Check in time is 3:00. One person at the desk - a long line of customers and the phone is ringing non stop at 3:10. I feel bad for her. Our room isn't ready. It's a short wait. The room is very small and I think I paid 155.00 a night. There was a bug on the curtain and I'm not convinced the carpet had been vacuumed. It is hot as heck outside, and the ac works fine, but it is really loud. The bathroom? Nightmare. It is super tiny with a pocket door. You have to change your clothes in a space that is 3X5 and 1/3rd of that is the toilet. The toilet had no lid, so there is nowhere to set your things while you are showering. If you put your bag down - there would be nowhere to stand. This doesn't feel like a very good value to me. The pillows are oddly tiny - Barbie sized. The towels are repurposed from a recently closed high school I think - bath towels are also Barbie sized. Not a natural fiber to be found. The pool - my kids are enjoying it right now. It's not gross. I really wish we were staying somewhere a lot nicer. read more

This was my second stay at the Sleep In, Post Falls, ID. Two nights of sound sleep. This location has a terrific manager and a very friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating. The rooms very clean and beds extremely comfortable. The ventilation system gives you the option to select the fan mode- stay on, which is important to me since the systems that do not have that feature tend to interfere with my sleeping. Both nights were very quiet. The internet was easy to access as well as fast. A very pleasant and friendly décor in the rooms. A good choice in stations on the TV- including Showtime. I didn't stay to take part in the breakfast, but it all looked to be very good. With a good selection to choose from. I could only wish that all of my stays were this pleasant! Thank you. read more

First impression was really good. This motel was remodeled in 2014-2015. If it had been just my wife and I, we likely wouldn't have noticed a lot of things but we had my mother-in-law who has mobility issues with us. First, the pool winch to lower her in the pool was broken. Kudos to the staff for her efforts to get it working. In the long run it was probably better off as the pool temp was probably in the 50s. Way colder than it should be. We would have noticed that the hot tub jets were not working either. The room was very compact. Almost difficult to use in mixed company. For couples who don't need privacy, not a problem. Only issue was the shower door didn't close right and water ended up all over the floor. It looked like it wasn't installed quite right. Last issue was that we had checked the accessible room button on our reservation but apparently they don't have accessible rooms with two beds, only single Queen. We had to help her off the toilet and in the small bathroom it was difficult. Despite the issues, I would stay again. If there was just my wife and I, we wouldn't have had any real problems. The staff really tried to help us out and overall the hotel was pleasant. Extra points for a good breakfast. read more

This was an okay experience. The people working there were very friendly, and we were happy to have a few hot breakfast items before leaving each day. That being said, I'm a little ticked off about the response we received to the honest feedback we left via the hotel survey. We stayed there four nights, which means the housekeeping staff should have cleaned our room three times. In fact, they only showed up twice, and only did a complete and thorough job once. When we mentioned this in the survey, we were told that the do not disturb sign was on our door until after their housekeeping staff went home, and that's why our room wasn't serviced. That's entirely untrue. We took that sign off the door when we left the hotel between 9:30-10:00 a.m. You're telling me that the housekeeping staff left that early in the day? I don't think so and I don't think it's appropriate to blame your customers for the poor housekeeping. Especially when there was another day that they only partially serviced our room. They made our bed and folded our towels, but didn't empty the trash or refill any of the coffee supplies or toiletries. Oh, and the night we arrived? Our room had not been vacuumed (there were dried leaves or something like that on the floor!) In addition to the housekeeping issue, the internet service at the hotel was down for the last two days of our trip. We were also surprised to get a room with only a 3/4 bath (no tub) with only a sliding door separating the toilet/shower from the room. It looked as though the bathroom was added as an afterthought to the room. We wondered if all the rooms were this way or just ours? Overall, it was an okay experience, but we'll probably stay somewhere else next time. read more

Pictures are deceiving. We walked into our room and fridge smelled gross and the freezer had to much ice build up u couldn't put anything in the top of fridge (they did come fix the problem). The shower leaks water into room under carpet and the sheets we received had blood stains. I also found a hair in my bed under blankets and on towels. The pool area is gross and pool has huge cracks. I consider my cats to be my pets. They should change their advertisement to "dog friendly". This was very upsetting and inconvenient. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk staff were fantastic -- helpful, kind, responsive, and even managed to work out a difficult booking when my travel schedule changed unexpectedly. I LOVED staying here! I booked about a month in advance and over those few weeks I had some questions. Every time I called they were extremely nice and answered my question promptly!
