Julia took us in at the last minute and we are so happy she did. The lodge was amazing! We loved our breakfast in the morning. When we got there she met us at the door and went over the rooms so we could pick one, luck for us they had just had a group finish so we had our pick. The rooms were season themed and we stayed in Autumn. Super comfortable bed and every room had its own bathroom. Julia and Joe are such a nice couple. They really made our stay perfect. We plan to return, my wife left her pillow there on purpose I think. You won't be disappointed here. It's a short drive to Bayview and Silverwood. read more

Cutest little bed and breakfast tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. It was perfect for my boyfriend and I's weekend getaway and Julia was so sweet and hospitable. She makes you feel like family. The property is beautiful and there's even wild turkeys you can spot roaming the property. The breakfasts were so yummy and the beds were probably the comfiest I've ever slept in. If we're ever in Idaho again we will definitely be staying here! read more

The reason for a 2-star review is a few reasons: 1) I will start with what I thought was good. Robin was kind, gracious, and nice when my wife, daughter, and I arrived. The surroundings of the property were great and had we actually stayed, the food and the kitchen seemed like they knew how to take care of the guests. They were baking stuff when we arrived, so for that part, it was hard to not stay. 2) Now to why we paid and left that same day. Robin never told me that the Summer Room, which had a futon, was actually a "rubber foldable floor futon" type mat you put on floor, not a regular futon on a frame like you normally see. 3) Because of this, I paid for the room since it's mandatory, but I told Robin, we can't stay here because it's not going to work putting a mat on a floor, not very professional to run a B&B and not have either a roll-a-way or a futon off the ground. 3) The last reason, since given them advice in person to update their website to tell people the futon is mat that goes on the floor, Robin ignored my customer recommendation this past month and when I tried to leave them feedback on FB, bringing up same concerns, they deleted my comments, which also is very unprofessional. So, in closing, I am sure if I stayed, they probably would have gotten another star, maybe 2 more, but I just can't get past the fact they think it's acceptable and a professional way to run a B&B by putting folks sleeping on the floor. Sorry, I won't be coming back now after this. I was thinking about it, but why go back to a place if they don't take your customer feedback and fix the problem. I highly recommend if you stay here, ask about the futon situation to get clarification, because otherwise you are sleeping on the ground. read more

What a beautiful setting with excellent hosts, Julia and Joe! We stayed 4 nights and were treated to a delicious variety of breakfasts each morning in a bright, warm, very well appointed dining room. Our cozy room was delightful with an inviting extended veranda and nice private bath. It was very clean and our hosts made sure that we had everything we needed to feel at home. I can only review based on when Robin owned the property. We stayed in August for our anniversary. No air conditioning in the room. Horribly hot at night. Plus Robin cramming all the guests to eat breakfast together was a very unpleasant experience. One guest I had to sit with had so many nasal problems etc. Just really poor. When we first went to our room after checking in, we found dirty towels still hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Robin asked me to bring them to her. Hospitality at it's finest. From what I read on the current website, it looks like they added AC to the rooms. Thank goodness for that. Overall, the property is very nice, beautiful area and the rooms were nice. Now that Robin is no longer the owner, I would stay there again for sure. The new owners look like they fixed the problems and I wish them the best. I would give one star for the time Robin owned it, but since those are fixed and it looks the same with improvements with the new owners, I would give 5 stars. read more

The best place to stay for business or pleasure in north Idaho. A cozy log cabin, comfy beds, immaculately clean, excellent food, and nice views. Robin and Lew are fantastic hosts and will do whatever you need to make sure you enjoy your stay, be as private as you want or socialize in the great room next to the fire. read more

This way my first experience at a B&B and I have to admit that I was nervous. Staying somewhere so small and eating breakfast with people that I didn't know gave me anxiety. Arriving after work on a friday after a six hour drive was exhausting, but Julia stayed up late and called us to make sure we were alright. The Log Spirit was large and beautiful. Very comfortable bed and clean room, with a private door that led to the porch from our room with an amazing view of the mountains and forest. The breakfast of our two night stay were casseroles and fresh fruit grown from their own garden. The conversation was friendly and polite without feeling crowded. Julia also gave us many helpful tips for our visit to Silverwood which was our purpose for being there. She made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again. Log Spirit Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place to stay. The log home is beautiful and cozy with a stone fireplace in the main living area and a view of the local mountains. Julia and Joe are very friendly, accommodating hosts who make you feel welcome and at home. They had good local dinner suggestions as well as sending us off for the day with a great breakfast! My husband & I stayed here one night after visiting Silverwood. The grounds are beautiful, the hosts are sweet and the midnight dream room was very comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony & drinking white wine in the private hot tub under the stars. An excellent choice. read more

This place is terrible. They were very difficult to deal with as soon as they had the credit card number. My wife made a reservation and it was the wrong night, though the next day she called and tried to change and they told us we had to pay for the room anyway. The day we were planning on going they then told us we could change the date. Stay away from this place and whatever you do don't give them your credit card number. read more
