Ok, I have bought 2 beds from Sleep Number, and I like mine pretty well.... I like the ability to change the firmness and the adjustable base is nice. That being said. Please Read. If you do end up buying one please be aware that if you want to transfer ownership it's a pain to do so. First you have to call CS and have them remove the bed from your account, that's a mess in itself. I went back and forth with CS trying to get the bed removed, I was told the new owner would not be able to create an account and would have to buy a remote which are very expensive to control the bed. Also, that changing ownership voids your warranty, even if the bed is a couple years old. If I would have known what a pain it would be to own one I probably would have thought twice and went with another brand. read more

Corporate Review-- Sleep Number i8 Bed Horrible Experience After 15 years of sleeping on a Tempur-Pedic bed, we purchased a Sleep Number Bed and were assured by the sales representative that if we did not like the bed we could return it under Sleep Number's "100-Night In-Home Trial Period" which was offered ON ALL BEDS. (Do a Google search on this. Those are the exact words).The Sleep Number website, and our sales rep, assured us we were purchasing the "best sleep of our lives" and that the Sleep Number i8 bed would be "worth every penny." Nope...It's not...Not even close. The i8 bed feels like you're sleeping on an air mattress, and the delayed response of the Sleep Number App on your phone (which you must use as a remote control unless you shell out another $50 for an actual remote control), is beyond annoying. So on day 35, we called the Sleep Number store, where we made our purchase, and were told to call corporate. Corporate told us that for $250 they would come and get the mattress ONLY, but not the adjustable base?? Somehow after you purchase a bed from Sleep Number, the mattress and the base are no longer referred to as a bed, but as separate items.Our sales rep ONLY referred to our purchase (of a mattress and a base) as a bed. Even a Sleep Number Google search states the Sleep Number "100 Night In-Home Trial" is for ALL BEDS!It does not say the "100-Night In-Home Trial" is for all mattresses.We are now stuck with a $3299.00 base. This is so deceitful and so unethical. I do not want this base. It does not respond well to the app and takes forever to raise and lower. We were never informed by our sales rep that a base and mattress did not constitute a bed, but were in fact, separate items. He also never told us that bases were not part of "100-Night In-Home Trial."and NOT returnable. He did tell us several times that if we were not happy with our bed, we could return it. We were duped! We bought a Sleep Number bed after being told that we could return it if not satisfied within 100 days for only $249. After a few weeks of trying it out and not having good sleep, we decided to return it. Turns out we are being charged $678 to return it. One of the main reasons we bought one is due to the return policy if we weren't satisfied but we didn't expect to be taken advantage of. We were charged $249 for delivery, $80 to take our old bed away, and $349 to pick up the bed after we contacted them about returning it. This is excessive, especially since we expected to only pay $678. I hope Sleep Number management reads this and we get back at least half of what we were charged for the return. read more

Looks like I'm an i10! I really appreciate how much time Jay took to go over the different types of mattresses with us! There is so much to choose from! No pressure to buy. They have pillows and sheets too. They use pillow sanitation papers to cover your pillow so you can try to get as comfortable on the bed as possible. The mattress has a 100 day trial period, but the frame is non-refundable/returnable. I really hope this helps to get rid of the back pain I've been having from our 13 year old Tempur-Pedic which is now officially caved in forever! Sticker Shock! Sadly, I just can't afford to spend $10,860.91 on one side of a California King Size bed! read more

I purchased a Sleep Number bed with both the head & foot flex. The bed was delivered yesterday but it did not have the foot flex. The delivery guys said someone would be calling within the hour; nobody called. I called the store & Marshall, a salesman, said he would call me before the end of day; nobody called. I'm now waiting to see how long before I get a call & receive the bed I paid for. Buyer beware. read more

I stopped by on a Wednesday and Mark Kantor was working. He took his time to explain everything I needed to know about possibly buying a bed from Sleep Number. He answered every question I had. The best part is I told him I wouldn't be purchasing a bed that day as I needed to discuss it with my husband. That didn't stop him from being super helpful and patient. When I did go back in and purchase the bed, again I ran him through the ringer with my questions as well as questions from my husband. He didn't bat an eye and answered all of them. So far the follow up has been awesome as well. He didn't just sell me a bed and send me on the way, he's taken the time to actually reach out and follow up with delivery, etc. Thank you Mark for being so kind, helpful, and patient and I'll be stopping by to hear some more of your jokes! read more

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to making our 6k i8 purchase. I certainly would have called an audible. We slept on a Sleep # bed in a VRBO in San Diego for a week and loved it. I called the owner and asked for the exact model and we just went for it as we knew we loved it. Ever since we received the bed we have had problems with a variety of things but the worst is the elevating base we bought. The mattress we bought is not a split mattress but the base is two separate split pieces. So, for the first 4 months we have owned this thing the base keeps malfunctioning in that it tries to split the tilt on each side of the bed even thought we don't have a split mattress. Imagine lying in bed, with your spouse going up and you going down, back and forth, back and forth on a matters that not supposed to split. Then of course you can't get both side to lay flat again because of the split "malfunction" and one of you is stuck sleeping in an elevated position until you can call for customer no service the next day. The good news is this is a luxury item and we should expect the best service right? Wrong. Expect the worst service ever from the most unfriendly people. The culture of this customer service team needs a fundamental change and I imagine that starts at the top down. I've been on the phone with them 4 times over the months trying to solves this problem that has persisted since prior to the 100 day return limit and needless to say this has not been fun at all. It is NOT what you would expect from a luxury item of this level. Lesson learned, DO YOUR RESEARCH. read more

I am buying my third sleep number bed and spending $7000 for it. I bought a new I10 which was back ordered for five weeks, which was OK. They called me on Friday to confirm delivery on Tuesday. On Monday night AFTER 5 o'clock and tearing my entire bedroom suit a part they call and tell me the bed is delayed another three weeks because the distribution center doesn't have "all of the parts". They claimed to have called. No missed calls no voicemail. It wasn't until my sons have been home all day waiting for the delivery that I called sleep number only to find out when they would not be there. I cannot believe this fiasco and the lack of customer service and communication. I used to sing this company's praises but now I am no longer doing so. I think they've grown too big to become effective in the reliable delivery of their products. For the money you pay their communication/service is HORRIBLE!! read more

Until your bed become effective everything is fine BUT Worst customers service you can expect when your bed start to be defective! First know that you are lied with the 25 year warranty as after 1 year you need to start to pay a % for the part that need to be changed. Second they have you wait hours when you try to speak with a supervisor to fix your problem. Moreover, after 1 week of not sleeping correctly and 2 days with a deteriorated situation, I have to wait 2 more days without being able to sleep. Indeed they ship next day but they need 1 day to process your "Air Chamber " replacement, so 2 days total! I finally spoke with "Bre" the supervisor which ended hanging up on me! Think of other brand before you consider buying sleep number beds! read more

I purchased an i8 king size mattress from here, it was delivered Saturday. Its now Wednesday and a return has been organized. I was very clear with the salesman in the store, that I didn't believe in mattresses that came rolled up or in a box, not once did he mention that this is how a sleep number mattress arrives. I was horrified when it came Saturday. I explained that we we coming from a sterns and foster ultra firm mattress and that my girlfriend wanted something softer. 'Not a problem' he said and went on to explain the air chambers. Now of course we now realize that its simply an air bed that you just inflate or deflate, depending on how much you want. I lasted an hour on this bed, I was hot, uncomfortable and not enough support. I decided to go sleep on my old S&F and it was instantly better. Cooler, firmer and more comfortable. By the way it was inflated to 100... as high as It goes. After many arguments, we decided to look for another mattress and start thinking about returning this. Thank god we only purchased the mattress and not the base, protector, sheets and other add ons... they only refund on the mattress. I called the customer service number and explained all of this, the first lady actually admitted that I was mis-sold the mattress as this model WILL NOT give me the support that I need. She explained that P5 or P6 model should have been what the store sold me. I spoke to another person today and they said exactly the same thing (by the way P5/P6 are cheaper mattresses). I decided not to go with another sleep number option, as the experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. SO we are now getting a refund... but I lose the $199 initial shipping AND I also have to pay $200 to return it, i'll be out of pocket $400 for a bed that was mis-sold (by the way, all this is documented through sleep numbers customer service). My girlfriend and I went to look at mattresses and have settled on a new S&F, firm pillow top mattress for $2700. Just wish we have bypassed all the sleep number salesmanship. If you do decide to buy a sleep number bed, please do a lot more research than I did. read the reviews on their website, the one/two stars are very accurate. Great bed but I was lied to promised if the bed is advertised for less within the time frame I would get the difference well-I called before Covid all my notes are in the computer and they still haven't given me the check 6months later!!! We bought a Sleep Number bed because my wife was having very bad back problems. We spent about 2 hours in the store talking to the sales person. After a day thinking about, we decided to go ahead with the purchase. We were concerned that it would not help my wife's back, the salesperson told us not to worry. If it didn't work for us, we could just send it back. We specifically asked if there was any cost if we didn't like the mattress. He told us several times, no questions asked .... Just call customer service and they will schedule a pick up. We did the financing in the store and everything was on a small Ipad. He scrolled through all the fine print and told us to sign at the bottom, that is where he got us. We took delivery and had the bed for about 45 days and my wife's back got worse to the point she needed lower back fusion surgery. After her surgery I put our original Tempur Pedic bed back in our room and we both slept better. I called customer service to get our sleep number bed picked up and got a bunch of crap about getting another cover for it first, I told her I didn't want to delay the process any further and I just wanted to get it returned. She told me it would be $400 to return it !! I told her I was told it was no charge and it was a 100 day free trial. She said it was a $200 re-stocking fee and I had to pay for the delivery charges which was also $200. This was just last week, during the pandemic we are facing 4/2/2020. I informed her that I am on disability and my wife is out of work recovering from major back surgery. She could have cared less. I asked to speak to a manager, after arguing with me she finally got me a manager. The manager was able to reduce my FREE return by $100. So... now I am paying $300 for a bed that I am returning and they couldn't care less. Trust me.... that $300 they are keeping will pay for at least 3 new beds to be made. All it is, is a couple air mattresses and a pump and some wifi technology. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are other options (Personal Comfort) is the same thing with some better technology. For now I will stick with my Tempur Pedic. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to NEVER purchase a sleep number bed. read more

Well let me tell you about Sleep Number. All I can say is buyer beware read the fine print on every single page. There sale staff are worse than car dealers when coming to screw you over. And the customer service is a joke. I didn't buy the most expensive bed or the cheapest either my bed was almost 4000.00 with delivery and set up. I couldn't wait for the bed to come and it took almost 3 weeks once I place my order. The delivery guys sucked because of some sale they had 18 more beds to deliver that day they were in and out in under 20 minutes. Gone I thought they took the trash out they just left. That's where a bigger problem happen it was miss set up so I called customer service waited over an hour to talk to some one and they had to schedule me another appointment in 2 weeks. I spent 3900 bucks waited 3 week got the bed couldn't sleep on it for another 2 week me and my wife were sleeping on the couch and the floor due to the lack of service we received. Finally they come out and set the bed up properly and I was like yes . But again more problems due to the sleep number setting it made a void in the bed like a hill one side higher than the other so if my wife rolled over she was stuck and couldn't get out of the v the bed had made. So I call again and now I'm told I purchase the wrong bed I should have brought a king not a queen. Now I'm really pissed so I told them just pick it up and give me a refund they don't do that they will pick the bed up but not the base that I was told I had to have or the liens or pillows no refunds given ion those item so there sheets are as rough as sandpaper and cost me over 200 bucks the base was another 350 pillows 2 00 bucks. Then they only refund 80 % of the bed because now it used and wait there a 250 pick up charge. Plus it took another 2 weeks for them to pick the bed up. All for a bed that sucked really. I'm out more than a 1000. dollars. When they came to pick up the bed I ask the guy how many bed get returned he said almost 50 percent and that it sucks because they get to deal with the pissed off customer who are mad at them due to sales men who work on Commission and don't tell customer about what happen if you don't like the bed. It says 100 nights free trail but it's really not. The driver said if it wasn't for the money on refunds they would probably be out of business. Sure you make a grand on a bed that you cant sleep on and they sell it to the next poor schmuck. I called a attorney who said you signed the contract which means you knew about the charges I said hey it was like 15 pages he you read every line and if I had I probably wouldn't have brought there bed. I said that's not what the sales man told me. I went to RC willies where I got a better mattress no delivery charge and I'm out 1400 bucks but they delivered my bed the next day. read more

We bought a mattress here at a great price but we were sold a piece of non refund plastic ~ mattress protector ~ by RAE who was unable to show us the item herself. It's literally a piece of plastic you can get at Home Depot or Lowe's. We were pleased initially and felt raped at the end. AVOID THE STORE BASED ON ETHICS. ***BEWARE*** My 87 year old mom wanted a comfortable bed that she could sleep in due to the bad nights she been having since my father passed away 3 years ago. She wanted a bed that she could sleep comfortably in and not have to worry about purchasing another one. My mother thought she found the perfect bed from the Sleep Number company. We live in Las Vegas, NV and went to the Sleep Number store located in Town Square. We were assisted by the store manager Travis who was very helpful in selling us on the bed my mother thought was the perfect one for her. The main selling point that made my mother purchase the bed was the fact that Travis told her she had 99 days from the time the bed was delivered to test out the bed and if she did not like it for any reason, she could return it and just pay return shipping of $249. My mother tested the bed for about 2 months and decided it wasn't a good fit for her so she decided to return it. We called Sleep Number's customer service and the person we spoke with explained to us that she could only return the mattress but my mother would have to keep the base which cost $2500. Why would we keep a $2500 bed frame that we can't use with the specialized air mattress it comes with. If this was explained to us by Travis before my mother purchased the bed, she would never have purchased it. After this revelation, I went back to the store to speak with Travis and explained what had happened when we tried to return the bed. He said that my mother never initialed the section of the contract that would prevent us from returning the entire bed and that we should have been able to return it. Travis said he would contact them and send them a copy of the contract that shows my mother never initialed the section of the contract that would have prevented her from returning the bed. Travis told us we would be contacted by his corporate office after a couple days and it would be resolved. Well we never got a call and after a week I called Sleep Number's customer service again to get status of the return for the bed. The person we spoke to this time told us they never received a call or email from Travis about the return. Just reiterated that my mom could not return the bed but only the mattress. More frustration sets in at this time and I again went back to the store to speak to Travis. He told me he would escalate the return request with his corporate office and they would get back to us within a couple days. Travis mentioned to me that he has had many customer return beds before without any problems but it looks like we were the unlucky customers who were swindled into purchasing a bed with false promises. A week goes by again with no phone call from their corporate office. It seems like my mother was just scammed by this company with false representation and hopefully other people who read this story thinks twice about purchasing these very expensive air beds. read more

Just got my bed two days ago. They send an email asking for a review. So I took the time to do one and they sent me an email back saying they would not post my review. It states because I mentioned a competitor, URL or used profanity which none of those did I do. All I said was I am not sure at this point if it was worth the money. So their reviews on their website are skewed to their favor. If they don't like the review they don't post. Also spend $350 on extra pillows had to wait two weeks for delivery and they send the wrong ones. Then a blanket I ordered over a week ago I just got an email that they ran out and will refund me. They can't keep track of what they have? Make you wait for everything nothing is done in a timely matter. They need a better system and better customer service, they should also be honest on their website with their reviews. But because it wasn't favorable to them it was posted is an excuse to keep out the reviews they don't care for. Pretty sad and misleading. read more

Went to this location on Memorial Day weekend and the staff was absolutely amazing, especially Dave! I was such a complicated customer buying my first bed, but he was so patient and understanding. I think I spent about 3 hours in that store going back and forth between beds, but Dave was happy to help. He made the shopping experience fun! The new i10 I was debating about didn't have a sale, but luckily for me, and thanks to him, I was eligible for a discount due to my job title. Ended up getting the i8 with the adjustable base for the same price as the i10 w/o the adjustable base for 3 years no interest Awesome deal and awesome sales associate! He was very knowledgeable about the products and wasn't pushy to sell me the most expensive bed. Such a great experience! read more
