This was my first visit to Uncle Maddio's & it was a great visit. Uncle Maddio's is located within the Northcross Shopping Center, next to Panera. There's plenty of parking in the lot. Uncle Maddio's is spacious. Plenty of booths and tables. The service is awesome, everyone is so friendly. You can seat yourself & you order at the counter. They don't have paper menus, there's a QR code with the menu. We ordered 2 pizzas, the Italian and the Mushroom Truffle, both soooo good. We also had a Caesar salad & the garlic parmesan wings. The wings were ok, kinda soggy. The salad was ok, but the pizza was fantastic. I'm so glad we picked Uncle Maddio's. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely go back. read more

My company ordered a couple pepperoni and acouple four cheese pizzas plus a salad from here for lunch. I haven't had this pizza before but I enjoyed; especially the four cheese. Cheesy, warm, good sized slices. The salad was ok, a bit more topping heavy than greens/lettuce. We also had a side of crostini which looked tasty and well seasoned but sadly lacking in flavor or at least needed a dipping sauce. All in all though, I enjoyed this catered lunch. read more

Pizza was 'ok' but doesn't live up to the hype. Had the Steak black&blue. The steak was simply cut up cubes of beef, maybe shipped in from a frozen box. As soon as the pizza came to my table FAST, I knew I was in for an underwhelming supper. The bigger turn off was the employee and manager who argue with each other. The manager seemed to be the type who wanted to make sure everyone knew who the boss was. This was not appealing as a customer. I won't be back, and told teammates at work who suggesting going on Wednesday for lunch to skip it. Sorry to give poor reviews, but maybe ownership will take it to heart. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Happened to pass by on my way to Homegoods last week and families looked like they were having a good time sooooo I brought the fam today. They close at 9 and we arrived after 8. Not a lot of folks so we were able to order right away. They mainly have pizza. The pizza is the showstopper. Just so good. Delicious crust, fresh toppings. There are so many topping options everyone wanted to order their own pizza rather than share. Everything from traditional sausage, pepperoni to artichoke and pesto drizzle. I didn't have a big appetite and opted for the Maddio's Deal which was a 6 inch pizza side salad and drink for $9.99. It was PLENTY! And my salad was forgotten so they made me a full plated salad. It was delicious. After you order you seat yourself and there is a variety of types of seating including outdoor. We chose a booth. We got cheese bread for an appetizer yum! Everybody loved their pizza. Customer service was AWESOME. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I ordered food to take to my mom and a couple cannoli's for dessert. He was screaming at this person. threatening them to never come back. Don't these folks add to the stores bottom line. I thought the food sucked and the service was aweful. Stopped in for lunch last week & was happily greeted by two employees. I ordered the Maddio's lunch special, which includes a personal size, three-topping pizza, a side salad & a drink, for $8.99. DEAL! I love the ordering process, all the toppings in front of you to choose from. The gentleman that made my pizza was quick, as was the lady who made my salad. Intimate seating in the dining area. I was able to eat my greek salad right away & within minutes, my pepperoni, mushroom & banana peppers arrived. HOT & YUMMY. The place was clean, which I can greatly appreciate! Prices are reasonable. Love, love, love this pizza place! The owner is always there with a smiling face and they have lots of local kids working their available to serve you. I have been MANY times! This is one of those 'build your own' pizza places where can dump on as many topping as that 12 inch crust will hold! They do offer a gluten free crust as well and ask if it is an allergy or preference and are prepared to change their gloves so they don't contaminate if you suffer from celiacs. I appreciated that. I do usually order the gluten crust, that doesn't taste weird and you would never know it was gluten free. They have many toppings and several premium topping like steak, tofu, prosciutto, and 2 different kinds of chicken. I have ordered their cheesy bread/garlic bread in the past and they do it in a gluten free version if asked. They sell a large chocolate chip cookie that is pretty tasty as well. I usually pick it up so the staff working there are already walking over to hand it to me when ready. This place is a staple for me, so definitely try it if you haven't been yet. read more

Excellent pizza and over the top friendly staff. My son and I went in between baseball games for him. He had been hit by a pitch in his elbow and the field had no ice. When we ordered, we asked if they could provide ice for his arm. The very friendly worker (wish I could remember her name) went out of her way to figure out how to give us an ice pack. She ended up putting it in a rubber glove and tied it off - perfect! As to the pizza, we got a small pepperoni and a small margherita. They were both fast and delicious. The crust is fantastic. Restaurant is very clean. Another worker was sitting in a booth and started up a very nice conversation with us. Wish we had one of these closer to our house. Everything was not good. I ordered a 10 inch on whole wheat pizza dough and I asked for garlic oil, mozzarella, black, pineapple, and prosciutto. It was my mistake. I thought it came with a particular pizza sauce, which was not on there so the mozzarella went on top of the garlic oil and the prosciutto taste like potato chips. It was so dry. I had to find some pizza sauce in the fridge and add some shredded cheese on top because it was not enough. So all in all, I was very unhappy. read more

I like Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint pizzas; just a good thin crust pizza that doesn't claim to be anything it's not (thin mainly because thin cooks fastly better than thick). Step up to the glass and either try to figure out what you want or go with a suggestion from the masses. I generally have better things to do than try to figure out not-Chicago pizza so I tend to go with something off the shelf and I am seldom disappointed. Yapping with the pizza guy about how much pizza I want because he'll make a kid-size just as quick as a king-size. I opt for a non-ironic small Big Max (10" pie) and add a half dozen wings because the pizza guy suggested it (way to up-sell!) I pay for it and before I can ask about a cup for water the cashier is gone. A few minutes later I get a box and a bag and "have a good day!" Thought I was going to dine in but apparently not... so I'm thinking that if this is the worst thing that happens to me I'll be alright and I head off to the DMV nibbling pizza slices at the traffic lights. I get to the Huntersville facility, pull in, park, get in line and not five minutes later about twenty people queue up for plate service and I'm thinking how it's a good thing I got my food to go. yea pizza!! He tells his employees that I am a trouble maker when I walked through the door today , because I asked about a 3 dollar coupon . He tried to belittle me in front of his employees, great manager skills. So I thought he is a person you cannot reason with . Yes I have been back there two other times my big mistake., Today I go in there not thinking he had already told the employees I was trouble . This is one of the most delicious, professional and heavily service-oriented pizza restaurants I have had the pleasure of patronizing. I lived in Manhattan; had NY 'real pizza'. Lived in North Chicago/Evanston and had 'real Chicago deep dish pizza' . Aside from those specific areas that really take pizza seriously - I've lived in 12 cities; from DC to New Orleans. Uncle Maddios is the best pizza I've had outside of Chicago and NY. The wings, although baked are absolutely delicious and the calzones and pizzas have an excellent crust, quality toppings and a good presentation. The manager , Andre is great, there has been many issue when using food delivery services mucking you my order but, Andre always and continues to make things right. Ive also spoken to the owner, Alberto, he was kind , appreciative of business and made sure if any issue occurred I could contact him with the concern. I think this is the best pizza spot (and wings) in Huntersville and Cornelius. I haven't tried many places in Charlotte (uptown) but, why drive 15 minutes when Uncle Maddios handles my cravings, quality food and need for proper service. Uncle maddio's is a lovely little pizza joint with lots of yummy options. I've been on lots of dates here and have always been happy. Great place to stop if you're shopping at the nearby target or Pet Smart and there's a cookie place right next door! Don't be scared to try a non-traditional pizza. You walk up, order your pizza, sit down, and it's brought to you. Self-serve soda fountain, nice casual place that's not too loud. Originally, I was upset when I moved to the area because I love Blaze Pizza but there wasn't one near enough to be found. However, I live about 5 minutes from this place and we decided to try it on a whim. I think the first thing I noticed that really caught my eye and brought me joy was the fact that this place has hightop booths. After that this pizza bar is just like any other I've been to in the area. It's a typical create your own pizza for a set price and watch them make it in front of you from start to finish, in an open brick oven. So let me just start by saying I love the build your own pizza joints. I go in already with a new combination of veggies I want together. I went in a little after lunch time. It was fairly slow. The guy who fixed my pizza said hello and asked how could he help me. All the veggies and meats were fully stocked and looked fresh. As I went down the line deciding which toppings I wanted to add he would laugh at me because he could tell my excitement. I Was however a little disappointed they dint have a lot of herbs and spices to go on the pizza only Italian. That however is personal preference so I still have five stars. The drink options are the normal coke products and three different teas. Besides pizza they now offer hot wings which I can't wait to try by the way. They also offer build your own salad options and a few desserts cookies, and brownies. I did get a cookie just so I could tell you guys about it . Complete lack of Customer Service. I have never came in here and experienced what I experienced tonight. First of all, I guess asking questions about ingredients is a crime. For the salad I wanted to know what dressings were available. Being referred to a "poster down there" is not a good response. What if I had an impairment.In which I asked again and then I'm trying to figure out if this person is an employee or not. Unbelievable. Then half throwing ingredients on a pizza, if you are concerned about giving out too much use a measuring cup. Asked for Parmesan for a XL pizza guess how many packs of Parmesan we were given a total of 3 after having to ask for more. I get it times are hard there's a pandemic but still no excuse for a job half done. Would not recommend!! This at one time was our go too. read more

This is the quickest we've ever had pizza served to us. We went none traditional and ordered the whole wheat crust, forgot we even ordered whole wheat, it was that good. For a fast-casual pizza chain, I was pretty pleased with my first experience at Uncle Maddio's. The premise is similar to other fast-casual restaurants - you wait in line and select your size, dough, sauce, and toppings. Then, the pizza is placed on a conveyer that slowly moves your pizza through the oven to cook in about six minutes. A 9" pizza is the smallest individual size (but a smaller kid's pizza is available). Larger sizes are also available. For $6.99, your 9" pizza comes with three toppings. That's a great value, in my opinion. The only thing that kind of turned me off is that while employees use gloves when handling your pizza, they don't switch gloves between pizzas. And they do everything with their hands - spread the dough and cheese, place the ingredients on the dough, etc. So, if you are a vegetarian, those gloves might have handled meat from a prior customer. But that probably happens in most pizza places where you can't see them making your pies, right? My husband loved that he could ask for an extra crispy crust. We both loved that the pizzas were thin, cooked well throughout, and pretty close to NY style. And the portion size of the 9" was perfect for an adult without a huge appetite. The atmosphere is kid-friendly, so naturally, it's a bit loud inside. It was also really cold when we visited, with the A/C cranked very low. I think we'll stick to the outside patio for future visits, unless the weather is bad. The staff are very friendly here. And for only being open for a couple of weeks, they were remarkably efficient. The manager (owner?) came over to tell me he wasn't happy with how my pizza bubbled up in the oven, so he had them make me another. Now that's great service! Out total bill with two drinks was under $20. And we left very satisfied. We'll definitely be making a habit of visiting this place more often! read more

First time ordering takeout from this place. I used DoorDash for my order. When my order arrived one of the items was incorrect. I had ordered three calzones but instead I got 2 calzones and one pizza. I called the restaurant and I spoke to Andre. She was the most gracious and most kind person ever. She apologized for the mistake, acknowledged the mistake (said it was due to a new employee) and offered to make me another calzone right away. This was one of the best experiences that I've had dealing with a restaurant where they didn't get offended or upset that you pointed out a mistake that they made.
