Great spot for a quick lunch! Came with a group of colleagues for a fast lunch. We arrived about 11:45 just before the rush and got an assortment of subs, salads, and pizza. Orders came out fast and portions were huge. I had half of my 12" pastrami sub and a slice of the veggie pizza. The sub was tasty - good amount of pastrami, lettuce and cheese. I add hot sauce for an extra kick. The veggie pizza was ok - maybe a little on the blander side but not bad. It was piping hot and loaded with toppings though. Management got in contact with me and I went to pick up a remake (6/24). The food was completely different (in a good way). I went around lunch time for the remake and everything was perfect from the pizza, to the sub and fries. However, I will say I have been back a few times since and the quality just isn't consistent. Their pizza has been fine since we switched to ordering a full pie. But the last chicken cheesesteak I ordered (on 8/27) tasted like grease and even the lettuce was bad. I literally didn't eat the other half. So if you do give this place a try, order around lunch and it'll be better than what you'd get around dinner time. read more

We went here while staying nearby. As the name suggests, this restaurant features pizza but also serves other Italian dishes especially pasta. Customers order at a counter and are called when their meals have been prepared. They appear to serve customers who order ahead for takeout or on premise consumption. I did a takeout of a cheese pie and a meat lovers pie and they both were good. I would recommend this place and will go again.

For those of you like me that are Pizza Snobs check out Tony's. This is one of the few places in Charlotte that has legitimate authentic pizza. You just can not get real pizza in the Carolina region. Tony's Pizzas are generous in size and flavor and New York style. The staff is efficient, polite and from Italy and NY. Detroit style pizza is best. Chicago style second and New York third. Since Detroit and Chicago style does not exist for n Charlotte go for this legitimate New York style. It is delicious and the best pizza in Charlotte and North Carolina in my experience thus far. I will likely get push back from citizens of North and South Carolina but they will never fully understand pizza just like I will never fully grasp BBQ and will never claim expertise on the topic. read more

I ordered pizza from the menu posted online based on the descriptions. The order was 2 large pizzas, 1 the works and 1 Italian. The works pizza was made as described. The Italian, according to the online menu, does not include onion. However the pizza was full of onions. I called Tonys restaurant, they said the pizza was made according to the new menu which has not been updated online. I was told there was nothing they could do as there was no manager in the store.
