Looking for a time capsule then loon no further as you have found it right here at Lakeside!…read more This park really is awesome as you can tell it's been kinda just left to the elements of time as everything here just felt like the 1960's which was totally cool with me because its unique to any other park I've been to in the country and that alone created this incredible vibe! It seems like they are only open at night which is awesome because I love going to the park at night as it creates a whole new atmosphere that the day can't match from the sights and sounds you can't really go wrong with a night at the park! Lots of this park is very run down like it really needs some help which made me kinda sad but happy to see it's still in operation if I had the money I'd totally fix it up and keep it nostalgic to its roots like get the roller coaster going and what not! Wild Chipmunk alone was worth the trip here as you don't see many coasters like that being operational anywhere a true gem in the coaster world! Their train ride was awesome too takes you to the edge of the property around the lake making for a long fun ride that we totally loved! They offer all day wristbands or tickets since we only rode a few things we went with the tickets making for a bit of a saver for us money wise so just plan accordingly if you choose this path! Overall this park is awesome I'd love to see it get the love and respect it deserves as I can tell this is a very valuable asset to this community and I hope to come back here again at some point because this truly is up there with my favorite parks I've ever been to straight up a vibe here the whole time!

Is it dated? Yes. Are some of the rides and games out of order? Yep. Does it need a good scrubbing?…read moreIt does. Are the workers friendly? Not especially. If you can get over its shortcomings, Lakeside is a pretty fun place to go, and at 116 years old, it's pretty OG Denver. My husband and I took our son this afternoon (they open at 2 pm on weekends) and had a sweltering good time. They gave a new (to us anyway) entrance process. Parking is free now, and after you park you empty your pockets and do a bag search, which was no big deal and I'm honestly surprised it took as long as it did for this to happen. After security the experience kind of tanks. They had 1 person at the entrance doing admissions and NO SIGNS. Seriously, Lakeside, if you read reviews, PLEASE post a few signs at the entrance with the fees so people can decide what they want as hey wait and do your poor employee doesn't have to go over it while everyone waits. My family waited 40 minutes to get in today, and the fact is that that was 40 minutes of lost opportunities for us to have fun and to spend money at the park, and that is just speaking of my group.

The slides and attractions were really great, we actually appreciated getting in some exercise carrying tubes to ride start locations but if it's you and your younger kids, you're gonna be carrying that sucker by yourself! (Or purchase tube valet but it didn't seem worth it since you still have to take tubes a little ways down to enter the ride). The Journey to the Center of the Earth is a must-do, and we liked the very tall body-slides as well. The staff were actually great, all very friendly, asking how we enjoyed the ride. Super personable for teenagers so great job to whoever does their customer service training. We did purchase a few food items and they were expensive but good, especially the fries. Definitely would recommend this place for a hot day in Denver.

Because the wrist bands that come with the birthday package can be used at a different time if they arent activated the day of the party. We GoKart'd, Laser Tagged, Hung out in the airel course, played some games inside. Never made it to bowling but you could:) Teenage boys had a full 4 hours of running around and I am sure we will do it again next year. If you ask nice they will even let you have your party time in the room at the end of your stay. This was super helpful as the boys got out their energy and were ready for Pizza and Cake before going home. Also, no upset tummies to keep them from enjoying the outdoor activities.

Went to Boondocks Parker location on Friday this week and lord was it busy. I'm assuming they had…read moreschool field trips. Like the last time I went, it had its ups and downs and most of them weren't the fault of the employees but rather the guests. It was busy but overall the lines weren't as bad as they could have been. Our main issues came on dark ride when my youngest son, who finally is tall enough for it, could not get his glasses to stay on. Boondocks needs to invest in kid sized 3D glasses. They cater to kids this should not be an issue. Next came laser tag. Once again my youngest had some difficulties, but the attendant, who wasn't wearing a name tag but made sure to introduce herself, was quick to help get her vest adjusted. When she told me her name I realized I already knew her! The last time we went she was working the dark ride, her name is Cydney if anyone from Boondocks's reads this, when she gave her speech she made sure both sides were aware that smaller kids were in the arena and to watch out. She had the same attentiveness as last time and was quick to fix the issue when my vest wasn't working. We met Chloe at the front desk and bowling counter. She explained the passes to us and helped us find the right one for us. I gotta say she definitely knows her stuff, and has a wonderful demeanor to go along with it. She was friendly and personable with a lovely smile. Go-Karts proved the most challenging. My youngest chose to sit out with his dad, so my daughter and I road together on them. The attendants were okay if a little distracted. The larger groups were crazy, teenagers made the ride less than pleasant and while the attendants caught on and helped wrangle them it was still not as fun as it could have been. We ate at the restaurant and the food was okay, not the best but not the worst. The arcade was not as clean as it was last time but with the sheer number of people I wasn't that surprised I did see a worker with orange dyed hair cleaning up so they were really trying their best. We didn't cash our tickets in this time, but we were informed that we could save them for later. Overall all even though they were busy each of inside workers were amazing at their jobs and really made us feel at home, the outside kids could maybe use a little bit of a refresher. Boondocks always proves to be a great family outing and I will continue to bring my kids there, even with everything that wasn't perfect I'm still giving five stars because what they lacked, they made up for in hospitality.

Best Birthday Party Experience Ever -- for Kids and Adults…read more We hosted Stella's 4th birthday party at Bounce Empire, and it was hands down one of the coolest places we've ever had a party. What truly sets Bounce Empire apart is that it's not just for kids -- it actually considers the adults too. So many kids' birthday venues forget about the parents, but not here. There's a full bar, massage pods, a movie theater room with recliners to watch sports, chess tables, and a beautiful outdoor patio with mountain views. It felt more like a resort than a kids' party venue. And the bounce houses? Definitely not just for kids. All the adults had an absolute blast too. They even have DJs! We were there for an 11 a.m. party so we didn't get to experience the DJ that day, but I've been here before for a late-night adult girls' party and it's just as fun for adults as it is for kids. Now I have to talk about the event planner, Ariann -- because she truly made this experience unforgettable. As a mom of two, getting somewhere early to set up balloons, cups, decorations, food, cupcakes, candles... it's usually stressful and exhausting. This time? I didn't lift a single finger. Ariann handled everything. Setup, food, cupcakes, candles, décor, and even cleanup. I was able to just be present and actually enjoy my child's birthday party -- which honestly almost made me cry. That kind of care and support is priceless. We never felt rushed, the party flowed perfectly, and it was by far the most laid-back, fun, and stress-free birthday party we've ever had -- for our kid. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. Is it 100% worth it? Absolutely. I would recommend Bounce Empire to anyone looking for a birthday party that truly caters to everyone -- kids and adults. We will definitely be back.

Each racer got two 12 lap races, food & drink, one hour reserved seating, arcade tokens & top finishers got medals - plus all racers got to race together with a reserved time. The price was about $80 per racer. We paid separately for additional food for spectators. These go carts are electric, so no smell & pretty quiet. A few things to note, racers need to be at least 48 inches tall & if you have more than twelve racers you then split into two groups. Also, K1 has an Arrive & Drive option for just racing, it's first come first serve. The day we went was for a birthday. After checking in racers registered & signed waivers after which they got balaclavas & helmets. Instructions were given but it was rather hard to hear. Our racers had a blast...they loved it - it was a great experience. Right after racing our lunch was ready, it was served buffet style. We choose Cheese & Pepperoni Pizzas, BBQ & Buffalo Chicken Wings & soft drinks. There were no salad or vegan options. The pizza was good, however the wings were even better & delicious. Since we were a big group we had a private party room. The only outside food allowed was dessert. Our party ran smoothly, the staff was friendly & very helpful. All in all a great time!

Tiny Town. A town that is tiny!…read more I'm so glad I read the reviews first so I knew what to expect. My daughter and I arrived around 11am and we decided to have a little picnic in the back of the car, which seemed easier than trying to carry stuff through TT until we reached the picnic tables. The scenery is so pretty here, which made our little trunk picnic even more special! My daughter is 5 and was probably JUST young enough to enjoy it. We rode the train first--a short but cute ride--and then made our way through the town. She loved checking out all of the buildings, as well as seeing how they were decorated inside. So many dolls and scenes! The playground is sparse and outdated, but of course we had to spend a little time there. Our only negative experience was with the woman working the register in the gift shop. We were buying something, and my daughter picked up a little trinket that you're supposed to turn over + watch the bubbles move. Instead of just asking her to put it down (again: it's for playing with! And it was right in front of her face!) she ripped it out of her hands. While this doesn't classify as touching someone else's kid, it was close enough for me. Overall, a 4-star experience! I'm glad we took the time to go.
