My only real complaint was the temperature in the go-kart area. It was noticeably hotter there compared to the rest of the venue, which made the experience a little uncomfortable, especially while wearing the required gear and racing. Hopefully, that's something they can improve. Overall, though, we had a great time and would definitely come back. Just be prepared to work up a sweat on and off the track!

We were told to check back in five minutes before the heat started. On our way to check in, we saw some other people checking in who we had previously observed partaking in some 'recreational activities' in the parking lot - no judgment on that, but I do have a legitimate concern for my safety driving with others under an influence. I approached the staff member in the check in room and explained the situation and asked if we could postpone to the next heat. I was told I'd have to go back to the front desk and ask if they can make the change and that the next heat wouldn't be for another half hour. We didn't have the flexibility in our schedule to stay that long so we decided to participate in the current heat. The staff member told me I could pull over to the side to get assisted off the track if I needed to at any time. I didn't love that I would have to exit the race because of someone else's behavior. Interestingly, during the race, one person crashed into the wall in front of me and the other person crashed into my partner. Aside from all that drama, the track was pretty fun with lots of hard turns. The vehicles had great traction. The turbo button on the vehicle I was using was not marked or colored, so I was not able to use it during the race which was disappointing. I think that all of the entertainment and activity options were exciting and plentiful. If I had endless time and funds, I could definitely keep myself busy here for several hours, maybe even an entire day. I didn't love that a single go kart race was $30 per person and I didn't love that safety wasn't taken more seriously.

He stayed later for us and re-opened his facility and let us use the facility when all other options locally indoors were booked out. On top of that he even changed his personal plans for us (complete strangers) so we can still make our party happen. Very grateful for this place and the owner for his generosity and caring heart. The party worked out great and the kids ages 1-7 had a fun time. I would definitely recommend this place for any young toddlers birthday events or even just classes that they offer for little kids. I didn't make it to the pool area but did wander in the community garden which was really nice. There's a monarch station that was attracting lots of butterflies and hummingbirds, fruit trees, raised garden beds, a mud play area, and some shaded seating. An events listing showed a schedule of community activities coming up. The parking on the McKemy side was a little strange -- they left the actual parking spots as dirt and a number of them are already turning into a bit of an off-roading situation. I think this was put in within the last 2 years. Overall a nice little community park! Not necessarily a destination from across the valley, but a good spot for taking kids to play. It doesn't really have a walking path to take a long stroll like Kiwanis, but felt like a great community park.

As a train loving house we had to stop by Desert Breeze Park once we heard about its existence. The snack shop appeared to have some affordable snacks and treats for your visit. $5 per train ride per person isn't terrible given it takes the train almost 20 minutes to make its lap! Which is one of the longest train rides in the area based on time. I definitely think it's worth the ticket. The train takes you on a loop that nears the lake back through the station via tunnel and out and back past the tennis courts. The first half is the most scenic and the second past the tunnel is meh. This train is a nice addition to the area, fun little outing for littles. The carousel was dismantled with a large banner saying it's closed for refurb. Based on the looks of it, they are doing a complete rebuild so that may take time to reopen. In addition to the train they had a few coin operated rides. Now think they of those tiny rides in the mall. You know the ones. Little cars that just rock back and forth. $0.50 per ride and they take coins only. Like everything else they are sun fades and weather torn. While this park needs more love, it's fun and your kids will enjoy it. Nice that it's local, the playground across the way is expansive with many slides and things with swings flanking the lake. We will be back!
