As hard as it was not to grab thick slice of the loaf in front of me, I just stuck with my iced sugar free brown sugar cinnamon breve. I chilled at one of the big tables while I was waiting for my drink. It gave me a chance to absorb everything about the coffee shop. I love the big mural of old school Hyde Park. I adore the books along the wall for the kiddos to enjoy. It was great seeing people out and about. People laughing and enjoying their company and drinks. It's honestly one of the dopest shop I have hit up. The second barista was sweet and handed me my drink. I chilled at the big table and enjoyed my first couple sips. The espresso is strong! You can taste it. I did add a packet of sweetner, I like my caffeinated beverages on the sweeter side. It was just what it needed. My breve was absolutely delicious. My drink was creamy, flavorful from the SF brown sugar cinnamon syrup and the sweetner helped with the intensity of the espresso. It was so good. I have been to quite a few coffee joints in town and I like a lot of them. But there's something about this shop that is so different from the rest. It's in such a neat area. I was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Get my afternoon caffeinated beverage and check out this new local coffee joint. Walking in, this place is bright and inviting. I was instantly greeted by a beautiful smile and hello. I headed to the counter to check out the drink menu. I told the gal behind the counter I wanted to wait for my daughter to come in so we can order together. She was chill about it and let my daughter and I take our time. After we checked out the menu, I got myself my normal afternoon drink. An iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. My daughter got a peach and strawberry lotus energy drink. While our drinks were being prepared, I got to check out the venue. They have yummy looking baked goodies in the display case. A shelf filled with vintage coffee cans and plants. I adore the creativity they put into the shelf. The back wall is a stunning painting of a coffee plant. Whoever painted that wall did a fantastic job! My coffee looked dark and rich before I added my half and half. I knew that drink was going to be strong and flavorful! The espresso wasn't watered down at all. I added my half and half and a packet of sweetener. Taking one sip of my drink jolted me. You can taste the bitterness of the coffee. But it also had the right amount of sugar free vanilla in it as well. With the cream and sweetener, it was absolutely a great cup of coffee! I never caught the barista's name but she was super sweet. We talked about my transplant and my recovery from it. She was engaged and genuine. I appreciate that she was real and honestly involved in our conversation. It wasn't generic small talk. I wish this coffee joint is closer to me. Unfortunately they are on the other end of town. I would stop here every morning if I could. Everything about this shop is great. Plenty of seating, chill vibe, big windows for lighting and a dope barista behind the counter. If I'm ever in the other end of town, I most definitely will stop in top grab a drink.

Free street parking was easy to find out front because of our early morning visit. We were greeted immediately by our barista plus the airy interior decor. I ordered an unsweetened matcha since I found out their chai is a spiced herbal non-caffeinated alternative to a typical black tea. Matcha was well-balanced (always a bonus when they don't come sweetened) and the pastries were very tasty! I always love it when coffee shops sell savory breakfast items and was not disappointed. It was fun to browse their items for sale, too, which included arty coffee mugs and "mystery" books for purchase.

It has a very local, community feel that's getting harder to find. The coffee itself is fine -- not terrible, not "drive across town for it" amazing either. I usually just get the unlimited refill cup and drink from one of their mugs while I work for a bit. Where this place really shines is the baked goods and breakfast food. You can smell everything being made from their little kitchen, and it feels genuinely homemade in a way most coffee shops don't anymore. Their molasses cookies are somehow available year-round and I'm not exaggerating when I say if they're sold out, my day takes a turn. The quiche Lorraine is also legitimately excellent with a buttery crust, and they usually have a surprisingly good variety of gluten-free baked goods too. One thing I oddly appreciate: no music and no giant café chaos. Also no plugs, so this isn't the place to camp for 6 hours on a laptop. But if I need a quiet spot to answer emails or get 1-1.5 hours of work done without distraction, this is actually one of my favorite places to go.

Although it's located in a newer strip mall, the interior feels warm, inviting, and surprisingly cozy. The display case was stocked with a nice selection of pastries, including danishes, croissants, and various breads. I kept it simple and ordered a cafe latte along with a slice of banana bread. The latte was smooth, flavorful, and served nice and hot. The banana bread was fresh and quite good as well. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you could tell they're working hard to build something special. While I was there, a FedEx driver stopped in to drop off supplies, and they generously offered him a free coffee, it's a small gesture that says a lot about the kind of business they are. The atmosphere was pleasant, the prices were in line with other local coffee shops, and the overall experience was very positive. I think I've found a new coffee stop and will definitely be back.

I don't know if the barista heard me clearly when I asked for iced coffee but it ended being hot. It was no big deal that I got hot coffee but I would have preferred iced. My coffee was tasty! It was nicely sweetened with the honey. You can taste the creaminess of the oat milk. The coffee wasn't over whelming and bitter. It was a great latte. The confetti eggs were ok. They don't season the eggs which is fine so I seasoned that baby up with salt, pepper and chalula. Maybe it was the texture of the eggs because the way that they were cooked that didn't tickle my fancy. But the tortillas that were paired surg the eggs were good! They were soft and warm. Overall, breakfast a ok. I did scoop out some soup that was being served to some near by customers. It looked devine! It is something I will have to try the next time I'm there!
