I've uploaded some pics of the damage to my patio doors after Slide Right installed a pool safety latch system today, in my Brand New House. The latch is PLASTIC and already worn in one day. Won't last long in Arizona. If you're looking for an auto closing patio door without the pulley and wire looking system, this is not for you. On the outside of the patio door the handle has a string/wire to release the latch. Also, the worn latch is not level or is to thick so the patio door gets stuck in the open position before it even reaches the grooves!! Cylinder works fine so far but the latch system is ridiculous! STAY AWAY!! I had this outfit come out to my house to put up a sun shade so that I could block the sun glare on my patio television. They came out and measured and said they would be able to use a 90% glare removal material. After it was all installed the glare was just as bad as before. I then asked them to try another option and they said I was out of luck. Almost $1,000 and NO improvement on the orignal glare issue. Now I have to sue them in order to get my money back. Trust me - find another company who stands by their product and treats customers with respect. read more

Buyer beware! As a customer that has tried to professionally resolve my concerns with SlideRight, their management has refused to address my concerns! Their self closing door systems not only is an extreme nuisance, it creates a fire hazard by limited ingress/egress. My 11 year old daughter can barely open the door, at times we have to open it for her. God forbid we ever have a fire and she has to get out of the house through this door, I do not know if she will be able to get out. After bring this concern to SlideRight, they informed that the door is working according to manufacture specs and they do not offer refunds. The self closing mechanism was installed as part of our pool construction process and is a City code requirement. We have had several friends in similar situation and their doors are not as hard to open as the SlideRight system. I will be furthering my concerns with the Better Business Bureau (failure to disclose contract terms at the time of purchase) and the Registrar of Contractors (restricting ingress/egress). If you are in a similar situation, do your homework first before hiring SlideRight as I did! read more

I went ahead and upgraded one star because it's still working. However, I still hate the handle and would love to pay more for something that was contoured. It's not a luxury to have a handle like every other door. I have almost resorted to wrapping it in bicycle handlebar grip or sanding down the edges....... I called Slide Right because I had a client that want the self close system repaired for safety reason prior to purchasing a home. Everyone from the office to the installer were nice, helpful and professional. I was quoted an amount to replace the existing broken system but they were able to repair it instead saving me $120. They showed up when they said they would, promptly made the repair and my clients are now happy home owners! "Stay Away!! They will waste your time. I had an appointment with Slide Right set up three weeks in advance to only have it cancelled a few hours before they were due to install. They wanted to reschedule for another day but this was the reschedule. After talking to technicians and reading reviews this is a common occurrence. There are two reasons: 1) they over book work (because customers cancel) so when they don't cancel they are overbooked and need to reschedule 2) It's not a good company to work for so the technicians often don't show up for work. They act like it's no big deal when they want to reschedule and offer no apologies or discounts. There is no discounts offered because it happens so frequently. I wouldn't recommend this company or waste my time ever again. read more

They came out today after several months and fixed the alignment of the door which was a result of a part that I need to replace as it has worn down. I would definitely recommend them to my friends. They aren't lying about the one finger slide. After years of the double fisted pull we finally got sliders replaced. Guess what they even had them on the truck and were able to fix same day! (This is where the patio doors part and the chorus of Angels come in). Other companies said our doors were older, didn't know if they could remove them, and never got back in touch. this company used to be called EZ Glide. I used to set up repairs and services for all our rental houses with Jim. service was great from the first call to completed appt. now, i call the "SlideRight" office, i get a rude individual to begin with, try to set an appointment to repair or service a sliding door or damaged screen. it is always three weeks out for the next appt. we set up time and day. day of service, tech always calls to say he has cancelled appts and if he can come early. great! it take less then fifteen minutes to service a 6'8 sliding door and charge 160.00.now to repair a sliding screen door , they prefer you order a new one rather then repair a screen that wasnt put in by them. and they want a deposit put down , then pay in full three to four weeks later when their type of screen is aval. that costs215.00. then when paid in full, when the new screen comes in ,a tech from slideright will call to say, he needs to be paid in full before he installs the screen. this is the responsibility of the person at slide right office to coordinate with the tect to show its been paid in full . or they are trying to pull a fast one to pay more. when i called the office to report that their is a tect at the rental property to instal the new screen and he is demanding to be paid in full, no one was there. i left a message and called the tech back and said he spoke to the office and they are looking for the paper work that shows its been paid. i told tech i have my receipt to show its been paid. office has not called me back. this has happened before twice, i over looked it before. but this time, i know i will not be using them for sliding door service again. i will pay another company to do business properly and in a timely manner. i have used this company for many years and i think its they are getting sloppy. i did my part on calling them asking for service and repairs.. i did my part my paying in full. they didnt follow thriugh on their part and are asking me to pay in full, again. when they were already paid. and i have a feeling the office person will not be calling to apologize for being doing he job well. i recommend she take more training on verbal skills, communication , customer service and phone etiquette. never again slide right. i do not recommend this company at all. just disappointing all the way around. read more

I called this company on a recommendation from Presidential pools. The guy that came out to my house could not have been more helpful. He explained what he was doing to make my HUGE sliding glass door slide shut automatically. I let him know I was having an inspection the very next day and he looked at another door for me and made a couple adjustments so it would shut easier. We recently bought a new home that had an oversized sliding glass patio door (that wouldn't slide). We called several different repair companies that specialize in this area and were quoted $250-270 (due to the size of the door) for roller replacement. We finally called Slide Right and got a quote for $170!!! We booked our appointment fully expecting that the price might go up once they saw the door. This morning the technician arrived promptly at 9:15...right on time (we were told between 9:00 and 9:30). He looked at the door explained that it needed new rollers and told me it would indeed be $170:) I ok'd him to go ahead and do the work and 20 minutes later my 4 year old daughter could slide the door open and shut with ease. Slide Right did a great job for us. We needed a quick repair because we were selling the house. At first, they made suggestions of how I could fix it myself and save the service charge. When that was unsuccessful, they came out, assessed the problem and fixed it with in 1 1/2 hours. 04-26-11...I had a screen door made from this company and it stopped working correctly - They came out and said it is not made any longer. they asked if I wanted another, I said yes and ordered the top of the line from them. Serviceman measured and stated we would have a new one in 4 -6 days. He needed a $85.00 deposit. I called this company the next day and gave them a deposit/credit card number. Assumed all was well. A few days later I get a call from the company - they ask if I want the screen door. I stated that I had called and gave my credit card info to them the other day. This company was not aware of my credit card info or deposit. One hand does not know what the other is doing here. I was upset, I do not give a credit card number out w/ info and then have a company say - I am not aware?? 3 weeks go by, I call the company and ask what is the status? They say that they can schedule a appt. in 10 days. After she went to the back area, I am told the screen door is made. Upset w/ the 10 day window, because 3 weeks prior it was a 4-6 day window. I made the appt and hung up the phone. ____Surprised at the inefficiency, I called them back and said I was in the neighborhood and will pick up the screen door in 10 minutes / install myself. She froze and did not know what to do then. Finally , I was told it had not been made. They took (demanded) my deposit 3 weeks earlier, told me it would be installed in approx. 4 days, I called today and they have not started on the screen door....YOU make YOUR choice If you WANT to USE THEM! read more
