I was visiting from SoCal on 8/19 and my friend told me this place was really good. I'm a big Chick-fil-A fan so when I hear chicken sandwiches, I'm all over it. I was a bit disappointed with the sandwich I got. It was SO salty. My friend said her chicken and waffles were a bit salty as well. She has been back since and she said she thinks that's just the way it is because it was salty again. The service was fine. We went through the drive-thru so couldn't check out the inside. I came here specifically to try their Mac bowls after they sent me advertisements in the mail. I wasn't impressed by it. The Mac n cheese was great, but the chicken was bland and boring. The chicken had no flavor and wished I would have tried the Buffalo flavor. The garlic bread was good, though. The Mac n cheese alone is wonderful, I was eating around the chicken in the end. I used the app to order a Picnic Pack which came with 16 tenders, 2 large sides (mac & cheese & coleslaw), Texas toast & 6 sauces. I also ordered a side of potato salad & a their chicken & waffles. My delivery order, via DoorDash showed up with only the chicken waffle & coleslaw. I didn't accept the order & called to get a refund. I spoke with a manager, he apologized, processed a refund & stated he hoped we would come in soon to give them a try. So, I did head to the restaurant & went inside to order my meal again, to go. My order was taken timely, professionally & was bagged up within about 5 minutes. The chicken was very tasty, & very high quality tenders. The coating wasn't too crispy, but had a nice texture & was seasoned well. I enjoyed the Slim Sauce & the honey mustard was pretty good too. The coleslaw veggies were crisp, the dressing was creamy & flavorful however it had a tad more pepper then I would have personally preferred. The potato salad was my favorite side, it had a wonderful bacon flavor & was exactly what I had hoped for!! The mac & cheese was also quite delicious, but the potato salad was the winning side today. My son was happy with his chicken & waffles, & it looked very appetizing. I will definitely return & I'm excited to try some of their other items. Curbside is so slow today. I selected a time for my food to be ready and still waited in my car additional 30 minutes. Can't leave because already paid. Saw many cars pull up along side me and they got their food right away. I am assuming they never made my order or gave it to someone else. I kept asking for my food and all I was told it is coming up. The employee working the curbside service was very polite and super apologetic for the extremely long wait. It is not his fault it is the restaurant's fault for keep taking online orders and payment online for specific times. Tried to cancel my order online and it said I had to call the restaurant. I had already paid online and couldn't leave. When I got my food it was lukewarm. Chick-fil-A is always 3 times busier than this restaurant was today and they always seem to manage the flow of traffic in an efficient and effective manner. read more

We were in the springs for a HS event for my daughter on a Friday afternoon/night and needed to grab a quick dinner before we headed home. Slims chickens was on the way to the freeway and decided to give it a try. We dined in and ordered a regular chicken sandwich, chicken strips, fries, Mac & cheese, the fresh chips and one of their dessert jars (pecan cheesecake). Our table was clean but the condiment area wasn't stocked and I had to ask for some forks and it took them a while to refill them. The staff was very friendly and it was busy (dinner time) so they were trying to help everyone. Our food was delivered quickly and was really good. 19 Nov 23 - went through the drive thru to get take out and ordered the five piece combo meal without a drink. Asked for the chicken tenders to be grilled and also ordered a small potato salad with honey mustard sauce and honey barbecue sauce for the wings. Emily was sitting on the floor outside the drive thru waiting for customers and was also our cashier. Decided to look at the bill when we were almost home and saw that there was no potato salad on the receipt. Also when I got home the barbecue sauce was all over the wings instead of in a container and I was given French fries instead of the potato salad I requested. The chicken was excellent but I wish Emily had gotten my order right. That is why I did not give them a five star rating. Wonder Wife and I stopped by here on the way to the airport one night to grab a bite to eat on the way. It was close to closing time and the drive-through was already closed, so we had to go inside. My assumption is the food is made to order, because it took quite a while for our food to come out. Honestly, we expected more of a 'fast food' experience... or, at least something more along the lines of Raising Cane's. The staff was friendly, but there were a few people just standing there waiting for orders to come up. It might be because it was close to closing and they experienced an unexpected rush, or it might be because they're new and relatively inefficient still. Once we got in the truck and headed out, we tried the food and it was okay. The batter they put on the chicken is a little weird... something more along the lines of what I'd expect to find on fish instead of chicken. In fact, they left a smell on my fingers which really made me think of catfish. Wonder Wife got the spicy ranch dipping sauce and said it was good. I was driving, so no sauces for me. I've read other reviews where they've said the food is too salty. Our food seemed to be pretty salty, as well. Overall, this probably won't be a regular stop; our verdict was we prefer Raising Cane's - although, this place does have a better selection of sides since Cane's basically just gives you fries and some cole slaw. read more

This place is awful. I went yesterday 9/30 and waited 35 minutes to finally get to the counter and be told that they're out of stock on an item. Let me set the scene for you. the restaurant dining area has a few people in it, nothing crazy. The drive thru is ridiculous. Walked inside with a someone waiting at the counter and 2 in front of me. The fat Karen in front of me was bitching about her food being cold ( I don't blame her) when she got to the counter but then continued to bitch for an additional 20 minutes making everyone else's food cold as well. Meanwhile people are piling up behind me now. At this point. there's more people waiting to be serviced at the counter than there are in the dining room! The fat Karen gets the manager. The manager is a ponytail sporting kid who basically told her he doesn't give a flying fuck about her food. I finally get to the counter, ask for what I want, and they have none. During all of this, not one person came to the counter to assist the other customers waiting while the Karen and manager went at it. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO BE ADULTS WHO UNDERSTAND EFFICIENCY, URGENCY AND PROFESSIONALISM . IF YOU ARE OUT OF A ITEM, PUT A NOTICE ON THE COUNTER SO PEOPLE DONT WAIT FOR NO REASON. STAFF: MOVE YOUR ASS. This is my frame of reference to all other chicken places Pros: the service is great! Everyone is always friendly and helpful (and sometimes give me extra sauce for free). The chicken isn't anything special but boy do they have it nailed to a tee! It's just as they advertise it to be, and the seasoning is perfect. It's salty but not to spicy. I love that it's not bold seasoning because the tenders go perfectly with all of their 5 bajillion scrumptious sauces. The portioning is very adequate which I love! And the fries are solid! Again, splendid seasoning on the fries and they're always crispy (but not too crispy). The toast is always crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with copious, heart-stopping amounts of butter (the more the better!) the pricing is perfect, I get exactly what I pay for! I'm shocked at the average stars for this place! I'm grateful to report that our experience was a good one. We went through the drive through and there were 5 cars ahead of us. I wouldnt call it quick but the line moved at a reasonable pace. When we got to the window the employee was friendly and happily grabbed us more mayo when they had run out from the stash that was located closest to the window. The breading is thin and crispy and the chicken was freshly fried with just mild seasoning but I'd say the seasoning is more noticeable then say, Raising Canes. Gravy and fries were good but the texas toast was kind of sad, Canes has them on that! My husband liked his sandwich and in laws liked their meals as well. It's basically fast food on the order of Wendy's & the atmosphere is just okay, but we liked the big TVs. We had to wait about 10 minutes or so for our food, but it was cooked to order. (Don't know how that works out in the drive-through.) The french fries could have been a little hotter. Seeing this place is a half-hour drive from our side of town, we won't be back too soon.
