I've had the wraps, the chicken and waffles, and the stripss tossed in sauce, but during this visit, I chose to try the chicken club sandwich. Crispy chicken fresh tomatoes and melted cheese with blue cheese yum. I love their jar desserts but decided against getting one this visit. Tried 2 different meals. First I tried their grilled chicken finger 4 pc meal as usually 4 will fill you up. I kinda chuckled, in a disappointed way, as they were definitely slim. Maybe double the thickness of jerky and they were small. Not longer than just under 3/4 of my hand from wrist towards fingers and i have small hands. The seasoning was great and the fries had a great outer little crunch. I got the gravy (which is white gravy) and, well, when I dipped into it, there was no flavor. I might as well be dipping in milk. I added lots of black pepper which got rid of the skim milk taste. Fries were the best part of first. Second I ordered 10 pics of the fried bites, now these were good. Thick pics of white meat with a light batter with excellent seasoning. I should have ordered 2 of these. Their breading is similar to cane's chicken though definitely not cane's as it reminded me slightly of the batter and taste. read more

This was my first time going to Slim Chickens and it was delicious. My daughter and I went through the drive thru. Very quick and friendly customer service. She and I ate all of our food in the parking lot before we left, which was unintentional, but the food was just so good. lol she ordered the kids Mac n cheese meal that came with a drink and Texas toast. I ordered the chicken strips meal that came with fries and Texas toast. I also got the garlic parmesan sauce. The sauce was so unique and the perfect balance to my meal. For dessert we ordered a Praline Pumpkin Cheesecake jar, which don't even get me started...was so good! I'm a huge pumpkin fan so my standards are pretty high for anything pumpkin . The jar is layered with chucks of the pumpkin cheesecake, whipped cream, and pecan praline. It's like the first day of fall in your mouth. Now, we went to the Slim Chickens closer to our house in Houston on FM 1960 twice since having this delicious experience and our food was not on the same level as this one in Katy. So it may be a hit or miss with various locations, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Katy location. read more

During heavy rainfall they refused to give me my online order at the drive thru. I was told had to go inside for online order. After getting wet I was told they thought I was DoorDash. The manager tried to give me a stale brownie for my inconvenience and I refused it. I want good service not discrimination. Not all hispanics are DoorDash. read more

My first time at Slim Chickens, and I was not disappointed! (Except for the fact that the milkshake machine was broken.) The food came out almost immediately after I seated myself. You can't hate on Slims chickens at all. I prefer Slims over canes anyday. This fast food chicken place offers wraps, tenders, salads and wings! They have many flavors to choose from regarding wings and sauces! I got a 5 & 5 tender/wings combo that includes fries for only $14. Their Parmesan cheese or cayenne ranch flavors are my personal favorite. They also have dessert jars here!! read more

The food was great. However the restaurant was dirty and the lady at the cash register was not very helpful. We had never been here before and I asked her a few questions and she just didn't really know anything. The food however was really good. I got the chicken club sandwich but they were out of potato salad . My husband got the chicken tender with the Sriracha garlic sauce and that was amazing. Even though I wanted the Cayenne Ranch sandwich, I was served the Buffalo sandwich. Not the type of person to send food but, so I ate it. Three words: It was mid. Nothing special. Slim Chickens is not giving Chik-Fil-A and/or Canes any competition. They should have a spicy sandwich patty. The mac and cheese side was the only above average tasting item during the visit. I've seen these places around, but never stopped in. Today, out of convenience, I gave them a try, and I'm glad I did! I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. As I placed my order, I asked the lady behind the counter if this is a good choice and she replied, "all our chicken is delicious." Well, my sandwich was quite good. The chicken portion was tender and juicy and the Buffalo sauce had just enough heat to add that flavor I enjoy so much. Accompanied by a glass of freshly brewed iced tea, and this was a winner. First off, our toast was rock hard. It must've been sitting out for over a day. Our food looked and tasted as if it was on a 30 minute Uber delivery. Everything tasted the opposite of "Made to Order". The tenders and the coating was though, not as juicy how it use to be. Lukewarm food. Our Cayenne Ranch tasted watered down and didn't have much of a kick to it. The mac and cheese was the best out of everything even then..prices increased by 1.50-2.00 now. Not their fault, but honestly the worst experience I've had since first discovering this place since opening. Shame because we really loved Slims for many years read more

So finally I did and Yea I can't believe I just wasted $20.00 on this half cooked, cold chicken that seems like it wanted to be fried but they forgot how to fry it. The issue is, almost every table was dirty, and the floors had trash and food, almost under every table. It is a fast food chicken place, similar to Chick fila. I prefer Chick fila a million times. Didn't get a chance to dine in but went through the drive through. Service was great. The employee who took our order helped us navigate the menu since this was our first time visiting. Let me tell you, chick fila better watch out because this place knows damn well how to season their chicken. The chicken was so tender and very moist. The marinade this place uses works wonders. For fried chicken, the strips and sandwich were surprisingly light. Not some heavy gut bomb. The fries were crisp and the coleslaw was creamy. Sometimes fast food is really not the best but you have little places like this that are worth the try, at least once. I say that because this particular chain is uncommon in our area. They have a variety of dipping sauces. The Korean BBQ sauce is on point! Highly recommend trying the Korean BBQ sauce as well as the Inferno sauce. They have several sauce flavors to choose from. If I could give this a zero stars I would. They charged me $23.24 for a combo only to receive the complete wrong order. I order chicken wings and received chicken strips. I ordered fried pickles and received fries. I ordered ranch and received some weird sauce. This was all through Uber eats which charged me a delivery fee plus the tip. Do not order from them through Uber eats, your order will be wrong. read more

We ordered our food and had to wait a while(wasn't too worried. We love hot fresh food) The food was cold. We have an air fryer so we just warmed it up. Let's just say, it wasn't worth it. I wouldn't try chicken & waffles at many fast food places but I'm glad I tried it at Slim's. I love how my food is always made fresh here so that made it even better. I also really like Mac n Cheese as well as the lemonade here. The mac n cheese is honestly just really, simple but really good. The lemonade must be made in house. I'm not sure why this place doesn't have better reviews. I've been here about 5 times and each time has been a HIT. They have the best sauces for dipping too. The fries and chicken are always hot and seasoned. The cheesecake jars are delicious. The Oreo shakes or delicious. The tenders are always cooked just right. I frequent Slim Chickens about once every 1-2 months. It's good food, but it isn't something that knocks me off my feet! The food is always fresh and hot. If you like your wings crunchy - just ask for them to be fried "hard" or "extra crispy". The last couple of times I've been there I felt like they could keep the place cleaner and the bathrooms. The dessert jars are sinful! I love that they are in mason jars too...I definitely repurposed them. read more

This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!

I wasn't very hungry, so I stuck with appetizers for dinner, and they did not disappoint. Overall, I'd definitely come back, especially to try the steaks next time.
