I was really looking forward to trying this place, so my son and I ordered in. I got two chicken sandwiches with fries and an order of onion rings and fried pickles. The fries were the best part of the whole meal. I was horribly disappointed with everything else. The chicken sandwich had one strip on it , leaving flanks of bun on either side, a total waste. I was reluctant to spend $6.50 for a second strip not knowing what I was going to be getting because that seemed like a large up charge for one chicken strip. The coleslaw was the most flavorful part of the sandwich, but there was very little there anyway. The chicken came apart in shreds and felt like it was fibrous and almost squeaky. Very strange texture for chicken. The brioche bun overtook the flavor of the whole sandwich. I was excited for the onion rings cause they are a good size, but there was hardly any onion left and the breading was really thick. Then the pickles, which are one of my favorite things to try. Mediocre at best. I placed an order online that was supposed to be ready ten minutes later. I showed up exactly ten minutes later and was told it would be another four minutes. Seven minutes later, my food was ready. This was super frustrating since I was on my lunch break and therefore in a time crunch. The music was super loud outside the truck which added to my frustration. I had to yell in order to get anyone to hear me. I don't know why the reviews are so bad for this place. I went on a Sunday evening and it was STELLAR! The fries and chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and not greasy. The fries specifically shocked me because they maintained their crispy-ness all the way home. The dry rub is a pleasant surprise and I'd highly recommend it on the wings. It's the right level of heat and that clutch city sauce is competitive with Cane's sauce. The guy working the night shift was super nice and knowledgeable about spice level. Excellent fried chicken sandwiches. Flavor was on point. There are different degrees of heat available for the chicken. Just to be on the safe side, I chose hot. Sometimes people have different ways they view heat. So I wanted to be cautious. The heat levels are: no spice, mild, medium hot, hot, extra hot and cluck it like it's HOT. I really loved the heat and flavors. The chicken was super crisp and tender on the inside. The sauce they use in the sandwich was savory good. Fries crisp and you should really try the slaw. I love this spot ! it's always top five and it's definitely not number five! They are so helpful in getting you to understand the heat levels amazing customer service and so accommodating! I made an order online and I called because I'm so forgetful and they put ranch in my bag even after I forgot! It's worth every penny spent. This was my first time visiting. Ordered online for an easy pickup. I received my approx "order ready" time however when I arrived after the scheduled time it still wasn't ready. I gave the cashier my name for the order and she was very short/blunt. No greeting, no anything.... just "name". I let the her know that I didn't need a bag for my order to which she immediately responded: "this is not your order". Ok ma'am, I never claimed it was. I recently had a disappointing experience with Clutch City Cluckers. Not only was the customer service terrible, but I also was outright lied to. I waited 30 minutes for the food. I asked For some forks to eat the food with as I got loaded Fries he said they were iside the bag annd it was not when I went back he said they don't have any forks. I ordered the most spicy flavor and got chicken filled with nothing but salt. I went up to them and asked for some spice in my food he added very little and when I asked for more he screamed and said "I don't have any leave". I also ordered wings and soda. The wings had little to no meat on it and just tasted awful. I looked through the bag to find the soda I ordered and was arguing with him on how I did not get my food lIke I ordered and why my drink was not added.
