Today is March 3, 2024. I sit in line from 12:20 to 12:40 and only one car moved through the pick up line. Well I went to try Slim Chickens in Benton Arkansas on Alcoa Rd. I ordered 2 cayenne ranch meals, 3 Tenders, and 2- 8 piece wings of different flavors. I ordered bacon on one of the chicken sandwiches. before pulling off from the window, the employee Emory, asked if we need ketchup and I said yes thank you. She was so kind. Emory gave us our order and I asked if she made sure that everything was in the bag. She looked me in the eyes and said, "Yes, I checked it myself". My first and only order was Friday, 9/1/23. I ordered the 8 piece lemon pepper wing meal. It was warmed over chicken wings because it was tough to pull apart and there was no lemon pepper seasoning. It was awful! They advertise fresh, my Oder was everything but fresh. The cashier at the drive-through was so cold, I didn't need ice for my drink. I am a long time fan of Slim Chickens. Slims used to be my go-to if I was craving chicken. The chicken used to be juicy, warm, and fresh. The fries used to be seasoned and warm. I have lived close to this location for the past two years, and I have experienced a problem every time I go. The chicken is always hard and cold- I mean seriously, it probably sits out for hours. The fries are soggy and flavorless. The portions have been cut back significantly. My box at Slims used to be full, and the last time it was almost empty, and I barely had any fries- maybe 10 in the box. The prices have remained the same, despite the portions being cut back. The toast is always burned. The sauce is never correct, if I even get a sauce. I had to wait an hour once for my order. When I go through the drive thru and get home, my order is almost always wrong. Overall, I am disappointed in this location. The quality has gone down significantly. I have had good luck at other locations, but this is the closest to my house, so I have kept trying. Not sure if it is new management or new owner or what, but I hope this location steps it up. read more

I can break this down pretty easily: 1 star for good customer service (even though they didn't put any plasticware in my bag). 1 star because the restaurant was very clean. 1 star for offering a military discount. -1 star because the wings were terrible. So slim chicken overall is actually a very solid place. It's just this store in specific that does a terrible job. Before I say anything I will say the employees are great. Now to the reason behind the one star, I have never in my life been handed the wrong order so consistently. The past 6 times-literally all 6 times- I was handed the absolute wrong order ! There are months in between my visits because I seriously just choose to go to the one on Chenal instead even though this one is closer. The food at this store also just taste way worse quality wise. Seriously though there is no reason in this world why I should have had the wrong order given to me that many times ? Absolute worst service experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Walked in with my wife and 2 kids to get some food and the man who was working the register wearing a red visor with glasses on Sunday, August 13th, 2023 was incredibly rude to my wife. We walked in and started to order two kids meals, that's it, and the man interrupted my wife saying they aren't equipped to handle large orders because of short staffing and then walked off for a minute....not sure how two kids meals are a large order or how 4 meals in general are a large order but ok. He comes back and we try again to place our order 2 chicken tender kids meals and he begins to back talk my wife AGAIN correcting her saying, "well yeah, that's the only way the kids meals come." What is the point of all of this? Won't ever come back and if you want to keep customers I'd recommend firing this guy immediately. Instead of this location go to the one on Markham. First time coming here, I went through drive through. Everything was good. I ordered the tenders with cole slaw. I waited in the drive through for about 15 mins before I got my food. The tenders were still hot when I got home and everything was pretty yummy. I love the Cole slaw because of the tangy flavor at the end. Never had Cole slaw like that before and it was SO good. Tenders were good as well. Filled me up! The only reason I'm not giving this a five star rating is because of the slow line. Customer service was sweet and kind and on point. Nice job! read more

I visited this location on a Thursday evening at 7 pm. The drive thru was very busy; I am ok with that because TYPICALLY that means hot food. Not this time. So disappointing--and this was my cheat meal for the week. As I drove away--I tasted the fries-- they had been sitting in a warming tray. I never ate at Slim Chickens until recently because their logo is so ugly to me. I am now addicted to their hot wings. Their fried pickles are second to none and their fried okra is now a must-have. This was my first time eating at a Slim Chickens and I went with a friend who enjoys their food. I had a really good time. The food came out quickly, almost didn't get a chance to get my drink and sit down first! It wasn't very busy for being at noon, but you could tell they were very prepared for a rush, if it happened. The man who took my order, brought over my food and even asked me if I'd like him to fill my drink! My food came out hot and delicious. I'd say every 5-10 minutes someone would walk around the dining area to make sure everyone was enjoying their food. They were courteous and professional and also seemed to be enjoy serving. Slim Chicken never disappoints. They take the most simple plates and make them amazing with chicken that is made to order. The tenders are juicy but not greasy and the sides are excellent too. Have never been to this place of business before, thought about it but just haven't made the move. My grandson's school had a fund raiser here otherwise I probably would have not visited. I think they under estimated the amount of people that would show up. When we got there at 5pm it was packed!! Not a seat in the house, a line out the door and the drive thru overflowing. We ordered over $50 worth of food. The wait was 45 mins. Some people left w/o ordering which was their loss. We had some of everything on the menu and it was all good. Fried pickles, chicken chunks, wings, all the sauces, the gravy. Everything hot and good. The employees were funny and friendly even under the pressure. Not quite Chick-fil-A level with customer service, but the restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the staff seems to be putting out an effort to make it a good experience.
