I have had two completely different experiences at this restaurant. The first time was amazing and one of the best dining experiences I've had. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. We were seated all the way in the back near an exit, next to a very large and extremely loud party. There were also flies in the area, which made the seating even less enjoyable. Between the noise, bright lights, and overall atmosphere, it wasn't a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The hostess told us it would be fine to move to the bar, so we did. However, our waitress seemed very upset that we moved, even though the bar wasn't her section. Before we could even order drinks, the situation became uncomfortable due to the negative attitude and lack of communication. Instead of asking if something was wrong or if there was anything they could do to improve our experience, there seemed to be frustration directed toward us for simply wanting to relocate. What made the experience worse was the staff members were talking about the situation rather than addressing it professionally. At that point, we decided to leave without ordering. I've worked in customer service and understand that busy shifts and large parties can be stressful. However, guests should never feel like an inconvenience for wanting a comfortable place to dine. The difference between my first visit and this one was night and day. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant clearly has the potential to provide excellent service--I experienced it myself on my first visit. read more

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy! We were quoted a 45 minute wait but only waited 20 minutes. Our party of 9 was sat at 2 booths across from each other. Our server promptly took our drink and appetizer orders. The croissant were bought out and were really good. zour food was served hot and was really good. We started with the spinach dip and I'm not even exaggerating when I say it stole the whole table. Creamy, rich, perfectly seasoned, hot, and addictive. Easily my favorite thing we ordered. The cheese curds were good, the salmon was solid, and the spasagna was giving cozy comfort-food vibes and was actually pretty good. I had the steak, and it was okay, not bad at all, just not the star for me. Overall, it's still a good restaurant with a solid menu and good energy. Definitely worth checking out. But if you go, do not skip the spinach dip.. that's the real main character. read more

Visited Cheddar's in Little Rock and it was extremely disappointing. The bar top was filthy, tables needed attention, and the overall atmosphere felt completely unorganized. What made it worse was seeing three managers standing around while the restaurant looked like a mess. As customers, we don't care about hearing that an Uber driver got free food or employee conversations -- we care about good service and a clean place to eat. The entire experience felt chaotic and poorly managed. Definitely not the level of service we expected. read more

Arrived in Little Rock, Arkansas on a Wednesday evening. Since we have cheddars in our hometown, we decided to try cheddars. Placed the carryout order around 9:30 /9:45 PM, 2 chicken platters with sides, croissants and a dessert. The chicken strips look like chicken nuggets and were cold, the broccoli casserole was also cold and crunchy on top. The croissants were also cold. I kind of blame myself for ordering carry out from a restaurant at 9:45PM that closes at 10 PM. I tried to contact restaurant that night and the next morning. I finally spoke to a manager around 12 noon. I explained to him that the service was good, but the food was not. after receiving a line of questions from the manager I informed him that if he feels like I'm trying to receive a free meal, he could keep any Refund or Meal but he should definitely review my complaint with the late night kitchen crew. It's really a shame when restaurants get your order wrong or serve you less than what you paid for and they ask if you can bring the food back or start questioning your integrity. He did refund me a $25 e-card but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the managers line of questions and comments. For full disclosure the last time I ordered out. At cheddars in my hometown, three Pot pies , two of them did not have the lids fastened causing pot pies to spill in my carry out bag. I contacted the manager and had no problem receiving a full refund. read more

The food was okay, but I only received like half a cup of broccoli. The service sucked. I did the pickup and was a little late, which meant to me once I got there it really should have been ready. It wasn't or they took about 15 more minutes to find it or something. I went inside and got it and still waited a minute. The service was STELLAR!!! Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. The food was ok but unfortunately I had a seat that viewed the kitchen and the waiter/waitress staff don't use gloves or thongs when picking up the croissants from the warmer once their baked to bring to you table. And no one washed their hands before hand as I unfortunately saw them leave a table and go straight to the warmer . Hence why I stopped eating them and I love bread. The manager was onsite and was present so it's not a one day we do thing, it had to be the normal because of course people do better when managers are in the building normally, or so I thought. The histeest was full of energy, our server (Lisa) was amazing, checking on the table and refilling drinks without being asked. My party of three had a lot more food than I have in the pictures. Listen, I'm on a gal pal lady pants weekend and it was a travel day. My gal pal and I were STARVING so we stopped at cheddars. Have we ever been to one of these fine establishments? Nope. Would we come back? Immediately, yes. We got a honey croissant. Spectacular. I ordered chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Gimme 14 of them right now. First time eating at Cheddar's Scratch kitchen and these are my key takeaways. The croissants covered in a sweet honey butter glaze are a step ahead of Texas Roadhouse House rolls with their cinnamon butter. To test the alleged American Comfort food as advertised for my main course I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was tender and had a nice breading but lacked seasoning giving it no personality. The gravy was classic, not homemade classic but made from a packet classic. Mashed potatoes again very little to no seasoning. Last and definitely least was the side of green beans that i'm almost certain were made from a can, lacked any seasoning and they didn't even add bacon. The service was decent our waitress did what was expected of her but it seems as if she was assigned to too many tables to give us attention, not her fault definitely a management issue. The restaurant itself was very dark and felt like we were eating in Professor Snape's potions class. All in all for a chain restaurant it was pretty decent but wasn't given any reason to return other than for the croissants. read more

Generally, OK. I like their country fried chicken, Have gotten it a little undercooked once. Good gravy. Avoid the mashed potatoes: looks like they make one huge batch early and serve it all day. Don't order the fried shrimp; frozen, batter falling off when you pick one up. I've had better fried shrimp at a Dairy Diner. Have their waiters/waitresses serving a lot of tables. I like the automated menu/game machine on the table. I can pay my bill on the machine including tip with a credit card without having to flag down a waiter or waitress. read more

This was our first time at Cheddar's and the service and food was amazing! The ambiance has a warm and inviting appeal. However, Elizabeth was the star of the show. Overall it was fine. The food was meh but we were expecting that coming in. They were quite busy actually but the bar was completely open so we sat there instead of waiting 30 minutes for a table. It's funny how so many food items are named after other areas of the US, like Key West Key Lime Pie. I got the buffalo chicken wrap. It was huge! Definitly should have split it. I paid for a double loaded mashed potatoes. Potatoes were so cold cheese didn't melt and the bacon was cut up rubbery fat pieces no butter no sour cream. I also had chicken fried steak which all thee batter fell off. read more

Cheddar! I've eaten here many times. Most likely this was my last. I'll not even touch on the food except to say, my wife liked hers, my grand-daughter liked hers and mine (the steak) my dog enjoyed. He was the only one with teeth enough to get thru the gristle. This location is absolutely FILTHY!! DO NOT SIT BY A WINDOW IF YOU GO. There are (literally) layers of stuff on all the blinds I saw. I travel very often and I'm not sure I've encountered this much filth at truck stops. Just absolute laziness and poor management. Who cannot see this?!?! Three (maybe 4) employees were sitting on their behinds -one booth over- when we were seated. They all should have had rags and buckets. Please, do yourself a favor.....find a truck-stop. If what you can see is this filthy, imagine what you can't back in that kitchen. Cheddars, close down a day and get this cleaned up. You're establishment used to be better than this. read more

Well if you are looking for a monte cristo sandwich keep looking a sad excuse for the sandwich you past . remember . A soggy cold in the middle mess. Asked them if they cold cook it a little longer in the fryer and they said they were out of them at 6:20 pm i hate being lied to . The sandwich is not crispy and undercooked apparently they are prepped ahead of time and microwaved soggy soggy soggy warning the manager is not accommodating or friendly or anywhere near professional . Ariel was a wonderful server. She was very attentive and kept our drinks filled throughout our experience. The food was perfectly prepared and service was timely. The restaurant was very clean. I had the Country Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli rice casserole. The chicken was cooked perfectly golden brown and delicious. I always love the casserole here. My wife had the Fried Shrimp Platter with Caesar salad and fries. The shrimp were cooked perfectly as well. No complaints at all. We will be back soon. read more

Ended up being our server but was appropriately courteous & attentive. 3/3 bread plates were dirty - one looked like it had chocolate on it - ugh! Quickly replaced but made us cringe wondering if dinnerware our entrees came out on were clean ‍. The Crispy Chicken Salad we loved when Cheddar's opened isn't what it used to be, with fewer ingredients, & even less salad greens. But the chicken which came in large strips, rather than cut, was hot & tasty. All diners in my party agreed that the salad dressings were dreadful - a sour, old tang with Thousand Island & Ranch & the balsamic needs to be replaced - syrupy brown stuff. There is a WHITE balsamic that is much more appealing bit regardless, balsamic is not a request for SWEET. Where did the oil & vinegar go? 4 diners ate their salad with NO dressing! The bread is still super yummy though half the size it used to be. read more

There was multiple hairs in my food for my Togo order, and when I asked for a refund the manager told me to leave the hairy plate in my car for 1-2 days, since I didnt have time that day because I ordered on my lunch break, so I could bring it back and get it remade. I told him I wasn't coming back and he said he would issue a refund that never got issued to me. read more
