The restaurant was very hot. None of the tables were clean, and chairs were scattered everywhere. There were only two employees, so mayne that was the issue. The food was okay. Red Snapper is what you'd think of as a hole in the wall. But the fish and shrimp combo was good. No it's not particularly spotless or new, but you can tell what you're getting into from the outside. Two of us each ordered a small side, and they were really big. We had lots of fried mushrooms and fried okra to take with us when we were done eating. Good food is good food. Plain simple menu with a pretty large offering. The fish is really done well, shrimp is tender and crispy and the fries are surprisingly crispy. My wife enjoyed the wings which were crispy and flavorful. Kind of an out of the way location but really good food! read more

If you like fried food this is your place. The only thing they had that wasn't fried was red snapper. So I ordered that with 2 sides, green beans and coleslaw. The snapper was overcooked by about five minutes, the greebeans were from a can and pretty tasteless the coleslaw was the same tasteless stuff from a food supplier. The only reason for the 2 extra stars is because they were all very friendly. read more

In May, in the midst of COVID, we came here to get some take-out. It was good. Would like to return and try dining in to get it hot.

We ordered lunch today, catfish nuggets. I was not impressed in fact very dissatisfied. I asked for a double order of fried okra and didn't get it at all. The catfish had decent flavor but were very dry, the only saving grace was soaking them in tartar sauce! I doubt I will give this restaurant a second chance. read more

Decided to check out this place with a friend for lunch. First of all I was up charged for changing the sides which I had no idea I was being up charged for,and second of all I ordered catfish and was served something else. I went to the counter and told the server that my fish was not catfish and he proceeded to argue with me and lie to me and tell me it was catfish. I know the difference between catfish and Swai fish. So pleasantly surprised! We ordered a whole fried snapper, fried shrimp, fried okra, and got French fries we didn't expect. (Yes, we wanted fried food--and nothing else would do!). Delicious. I always judge placed by okra--fresh or frozen. Yay-- the okra wasn't frozen!!! The fish was moist and tasty, and the shrimp were kind of battered but tasty! Only bad part: white bread toast. Do not order online from this business. According to the description of the family fish special, it came with catfish, fries, coleslaw and bread. Not according to the restaurant it doesn't. So for $49. I got 12 catfish fillets delivered. Nothing else. Not even the tartar sauce I requested. And the catfish was over cooked.
