It holds up well and is spot on for a classic NY style pie. Sal's is in a great spot in the complex, as being on the corner gives them premium space that includes a nice sized dining room plus a small patio. All my trips here have been for takeout, some order ahead, others order at the counter. Either way, orders have always been timely and correct. I am normally a classic slice fella, so a consistent for me is building my own, but I have enjoyed a few house pies including the buffalo chicken and white pizza. In addition to pizza, they have a wide variety of other Italian dishes from pastas to calzone, sandwiches, etc... Service has always been solid, never any issues. I never had to ask for a drink refill and we were checked on regularly. Also, our order came out quick and we received our check without having to wait or ask for it. Overall a very fast but not rushed service. We had the penne pasta with chicken, cheese pizza and a custom pizza. All were amazing. The pizzas are approx 11" so a large personal size. I used to have much friendlier experiences there, but the last few times I've visited, the staff seemed less welcoming and the overall atmosphere just felt off compared to what it used to be.
