How does this place not have five stars? This is hands down the BEST pizza I think I've ever had in my 27 years...like WOW. I got half cheese snd half tomatoes, basil, garlic with salami. That first bite I took I audibly said "holy sh*t!!" I actually visited NYC last month and this pizza is 10000x better than the pizza I had there. I'm truly blown away. This will now be a regular cheat meal stop!!

Haven't been to Sal's in years and so glad we stopped in! They recently remodeled and it looks great! Service was fantastic! I can't remember the girl who was our server , however she was awesome, attentive and so sweet with my kiddo! We did a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 veggie - it was delicious! Sauce was really well balanced. Sometimes veggie pizzas can be soggy but this was perfect! Cheese pizza also wasn't too oily which was great! All in all - great food, service and ambiance. It's BYOB with a corkage fee.

Another place to enjoy during my travels! A small mom and pop joint with genuinely great service and amazing food. I ordered meatballs for appetizer, a slice of meat lovers pizza, lasagna, and tiramisu for dessert. Yes I ate it all by myself! The meatballs are hearty and very moist, swimming in marinara and mozz. Truthfully I've never eaten meatballs at any restaurant this moist and flavorful. Perfection. Pizza: New York style, thin and foldable. Big slice and delicious. Lasagna: not frozen! NOT stouffers! This is one raises the bar for anyone attempting to offer lasagna. The pasta sheets were light with a delicate chew. More filling and sauce than pasta, best balance in my opinion. The serving is big enough to fill a normal person's belly. But I'm not normal and enjoy eating very much. Highly recommend this dish. Tiramisu: not frozen!!! Not store bought! This dessert topped it all off for me. You know how some tiramisu you order is like a cake? Not the case here, homemade with legit lady fingers and dark chocolate/espresso topping. My favorite part about it was that I could still taste the coffee liqueur used to soak the lady fingers in. IYKYK Don't think twice about coming here, just go. Enjoy the hole in the wall atmosphere and amazing staff. Then devour the delicious food offerings.

Struggling to understand how this place is even in business. Paid $9.99 for trash white bread with literal squares of cheese barely melted on it and labeled as "garlic cheese bread". As well as a salad that was $9.49 that was barely chopped lettuce with three fat slices of tomato and three fat slices of cucumber and a package of store bought ranch. The pizza was not fully cooked and was just decent. The delivery with fees made the whole ordeal around $75 for an absolutely trash meal. Please save yourself the trouble and get fast food, it's better I promise you.

Please tell me y'all are seeing this picture of this burnt, stale, cheap, dry bread with a piece of burger cheese slapped onto part of it...how can they sell this for almost $10! If I made this at home I'd be embarrassed with myself, so why the heck would I overpay a professional and drive to this dive to pick it up? Like this post if you agree!

Delicious pizza and I love their antipasto. I have not found one better in Franklin Brentwood or Nashville.

Gold standard for pizza take-out in the area if you happen to be on that side of Franklin.

I like that you can buy slices of pizza. I don't want or need an entire pizza for myself! Friendly staff!

Came here on a sweltering day for lunch with a coworker & client, who we'll call Dennis because…read morethat was his name. Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

We were hoping to sit on the rooftop, but unfortunately it was raining, so we ate inside. The…read morerestaurant wasn't necessarily that busy, but because the space is really tight, it definitely felt busy and a little cramped. Service was also a bit slow. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

I think the prices are way too high for the quality of the food. We spent over $120 on two pasta dishes, bruschetta and 2 glasses of wine. Again would pay this if it was worth it. When we agreed upon this place, we looked online to see that they opened at 4:30. We drove straight there and arrived at 4:45. There was free street parking available nearby. When looking online, we noticed they accepted reservations, but we thought since we were eating early that we would be fine-- we were mistaken. The exterior is bold and cutely decorated with some painted art, bright red bricks, and festoon lighting under the awning. Upon entry, the hostess stared our party of two down and did not say a word. Excited to try a new place, I happily greeted her "Hello! Just a table for two, please." She paused, looked me up and down, and replied "no reservation?" with a smug attitude. I shyly replied with "No." My friend added that we didn't know we needed one but came here just thinking we'd be okay since we were before the dinner rush and they just opened. She stared at us blankly and replied "Well, I am pretty booked tonight. We don't have extra tables." At first I thought she was maybe joking. When we looked around there were people sat at two tables, a musician was sitting in the corner on his phone, and the servers were up near the kitchen-- all while the rest of the dining room was dead empty. I understand having tables already booked, but the interaction just seemed odd. After thumping around on her tablet, "I guess I can seat you at my 6:00 table", she mumbled to herself. We were very friendly; however, it just felt the attitude was unnecessary when that would still give us an hour and fifteen minutes to order, eat, and our table to be flipped. Once we were seated, we were greeted friendly by our waiter who gave us waters and menus right off the bat. The atmosphere was nothing special and maybe a little dated, but it was clean and quaint. It reminded me of another local Italian restaurant that was as near my childhood home that we used to eat at a lot. We ordered a cheese bread and marinara sauce for the table and then were ready to place entrees. The cheese bread was very warm, melty, and delicious. The marinara had a great flavor and the size was nice for our party of two. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and was SHOCKED by how large the portions were as soon as I saw the dish. The noodles were cooked al dente with a nice cheese sauce and large breaded chicken breast. The food all had a good flavor and nice portions. Service and the food were also very quick. We were in and out in 35 minutes, perfect for our evening full of plans. Our entire experience was good with delicious dinner, large portions, and a friendly server. However, the atmosphere was nothing special and the front hostess left an odd impression. I would recommend this place if you're wanting some good Italian food in Franklin-- Just make sure you have a reservation prior.
