Just wow! Tucked away im what appears to be an industrial complex, you will find the best little café, which surprisingly isn't so little when you get inside. IF you find it...I passed by it my first go round because it is so tucked away in a corner among non-retail businesses. I ordered at the counter - the Cuban with a side, Caesar salad. I sat outside and my lunch was brought out to me. Can I just say that this was probably one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had? There was a true citrus tang to it that was just so fresh and delicious. I could've eaten a mountain of that salad and the homemade croutons were exceptional and full of butter too. No boxed croutons here. At first glance, the Cuban looked a little skimpy on the meat from what I'm used to, but the quality of the bread and the grill press were so exceptional that I had high hopes. It did not disappoint - the flavors were phenomenal and the size was just right. This is a truly fantastic sandwich and I will definitely order it again & again. Our office is moving close to this business near the end of summer and I envision this becoming a fan favorite, not only for me, but for others in the office. I picked up several catering menus to hand out to other departments and I plan to have them cater many meetings in the future if the quality of their other menu items can hold a candle to their Cuban and Caesar salad. We were greeted immediately by a lovely gentleman when we arrived to place a take out order. I love that the place is decorated with tons of lunch pails dating back 40+ years bringing back many good memories of childhood. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side garden salad. The sandwich itself was very good and seasoned well, but I do wish the salad had been packed into a separate container. The star of the show was their homemade ranch dressing. Omg, you could drink it, it was so good. My husband ordered the chicken club and a cup of chili. The club was a very big sandwich but he said it wasn't seasoned very well. He thought the chili was good but a little on the bland side. In all fairness, he likes a bit of heat in his chili. We also opted to get a side of potato salad and a side of their Greek pasta salad. Neither of us liked the potato salad but both agreed the Greek pasta was delicious. While they didn't knock it out of the park for us, it's good enough that we will be back. read more

Maggie's Lunchbox is such a great little lunch spot. It's def not in a busy location, but it sure does get busy! In fact, there can be a line at least 10 people deep if you go during the lunch rush. I have gone a few times now and just love the menu options. I also really like the staff and customers. This is def a local spot. I am a fan of a good chicken salad sandwich when can find them, and Maggie's has one of the best in town. They also have other tasty sandwiches and salads that I have tried. I did a create your own one time and made it so boring, but they accommodate most requests. They have the most delicious greek pasta salad that you have to try as a side. They often have some backed items for dessert so you can find something to satisfy your sweet tooth if needed. The space inside is massive and they have a ton of seating. This establishments theme is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I couldn't help taking a bunch of pictures because it literally teleports you into a retro and nostalgic environment. Had a buffalo sandwich special yesterday and this is a normal go to in most restaurants for me. Just thinking about it a day later makes my mouth water. That was the best buffalo sandwich I've had ever. This place is out of control in the best of ways. Softness of the bun was magical, crispy chicken was perfect, sauce amount from the ranch to buffalo was on point. Here one morning from 9-11am for coffee and breakfast. I cannot stress enough that the restaurant was empty aside from 1 other table the entire time. As our group of 7 was getting ready to leave, an older woman came over and told us we couldn't stay this long, complained that we didn't buy enough food (we all bought something) and that we were using up her electricity. Was harassed by one of the female workers at Maggie's today. I was taking a work meeting virtually, and I guess I was talking too loud. Was told to stop my meeting because "the whole restaurant didn't want to hear my conversation". This was particularly upsetting for my virtual colleague. This place is a GEM! I used to work around the corner from here and the industrial park and absolutely fell in love with this place. This place makes a perfect grilled chicken sandwich. It comes with lettuce, tomato, bacon, provolone and a tasty mayo. You can also get it fried. The chicken was fresh off the grill and the toppings were fresh. The sandwich comes with a side and I chose their potato salad - it was an excellent creamy potato salad without being too rich. I got my order to go and the service was kind and efficient. Everyone was wearing masks :) I'll be back to try their daily specials which are all posted on their website. Maggie's Lunchbox has been on my Yelp wish list for a long time. Another Yelper and I were able to meet for a lunch date there this week. As we entered there were several groups eating outside at cheerful umbrellas and tables. We ordered at the counter, which was fast and efficient. Baked Goods are easy to see as you wait to order. The drink station is directly past the cash register. We both ordered the Fried Chicken BLT Club. This Chicken Club is worth a return visit. This sandwich had Crispy Bacon, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo and a huge piece of Breaded Chicken. You can also get this sandwich with grilled chicken. It comes with a side, which I choose the Greek Pasta Salad. This Pasta Salad had Feta, Red Pepper, Onion, Seasoning, and Cellentani Noodles. The Gooey Butter Cake is rich, luscious, and decadent. Maggie's Lunchbox has large portions of great tasting, fresh, homemade food. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. I saw several people picking up To- Go orders while we were here. Oh my, what an unexpected treasure inside of an industrial park area. This restaurant is run by the family, and I believe everything is made on site--from their baked goods to their breakfast and lunch entrees. And it shows. I ordered their Grilled Buffalo Chicken Salad and it was perfect: a generous portion, fresh ingredients, and a delectable balance of buffalo and ranch dressing. I resisted the crazy-delicious-looking baked goods displayed in the ordering area but look forward to getting something the next time I visit. Maggie's is the place to be! The location is super random with zero outdoor seating, but the hipster/local vibe to it makes up it. I've eaten here several times and everything is always fresh and delicious. I'm a huge fan of the grilled chicken club and the chicken salad. Oh how I'm craving chicken salad now. They make it with white meat chicken and it's truly better than Straubs! There, I said it. The grilled chicken club is a huge piece of chicken with fresh tomatoes and lettuce on top with a hearty bread holding it together. I order this most of the time and am thrilled when they have blackening seasoning to make it spicy for me! I found this place through an online search and decided to try it because I needed lunch but didn't want fast food. I was pleasantly surprised on entering. I didn't expect the collection of lunch boxes (surprising, I know) or the clean well put together eating area. I ordered the Cuban and a cup of gumbo - both were pretty good. The man who took our order wasn't overly friendly and seemed reserved - which is not a bad thing at all! He was patient with me as I dealt with my nutty 4 year old who was causing havoc around me and very helpful. My only negative was the cost. I understand everything is expensive these days especially if you want good quality, fresh ingredients. I appreciate the food and will likely come back at some point but the cost will keep me from coming back as frequently as I typically would. Overall, I recommend trying them out. I love this place, it's such a smart idea to have in the middle of the business park. We were craving BLT's and Maggie's delivered the perfect one! Order at the counter and wait for your meal to be brought out to you. I had a cup of chicken chili, others had a Cuban panini and the grilled chicken sandwich. My chicken chili was good. It wasn't bad and it wasn't amazing. It was just good. The side of potato salad was different which I appreciated. It had a lot of dill and was creamy. The pasta salad was dry and overwhelmingly kalamata olive-y tasting. Everyone seemed to like their food. If I'm the area I would try their food again and recommend it. Funny enough, I rarely write review updates. But Maggie's Lunch box gets a 4th update because I want to re-iterate as much as possible how amazing it is. I've never had a bad ANYTHING from here. Most recently, I had their fried chicken club. My mind was blown. Easily the best chicken club I've ever had and that speaks for the rest of their menu as well. They do classic lunch items really really well. And on top of that? They sling some of the best baked goods in STL..maybe even the best gooey butter cake in town. The menu is a pretty typical lunch counter with soups, salads, and sandwiches. I had the BLT. It had six slices of perfectly crisp bacon and farm fresh lettuce and tomatoes. On the side was a lovely cup of, not too spicy, chicken chili. They serve on real plates with real flat wear and real cups. 100% sustainable. Hubs had a custom turkey Sammy with homemade pasta salad. I always like this place, even though it is difficult to get to currently. I got the southwestern type salad, it was very good. All the ingredients were very fresh. Took the chicken chili to go, it was ok. I will say I usually like their cookies but my chocolate chip had a burnt taste to it. It is always clean here and they have outdoor seating.
