Granted, it's probably been sitting out for a while. I got their matcha coconut flake donut (I don't recommend), blueberry cake donut, and a croissant. We came around 9 on a Saturday and they were mostly sold out. We were really hoping to try the donut holes! We got the Christmas Sprinkle, Cinnamon crunch, and Matcha Coconut. The cinnamon crunch was definitely the favorite. The matcha coconut was lacking in matcha flavor - it could've just been regular icing and I wouldn't have been able to tell. SLODOCO really goes all out when it comes to donuts. I always make it a point to stop in here a couple times when I am visiting. Since there are two locations, I had not yet visited this location and it was so close to the AirBNB I was staying at, we walked over and snagged some fresh, warm donuts. They feature 100 different donuts and if you are vegan they got you. If you need gluten free, they serve them with glee. My favs are the serious chocolate cake donuts. So moist, so light, just right. You are also able to order your donuts customized. So if you want to spell your name in donuts, this is the place that can provide this service. Every month their bakers get together to create new and inventive donuts. I have seen so many unique ideas through the years. Service is always friendly and helpful as sometimes it can take a while to select your donuts. Merchandise can be purchased as well. I just went in to grab a few donuts for the family on a Sunday morning. We have been going to here ever since they opened. Even had SloDoCo do personalized donuts for our wedding. This is the first time I have been to this location. I was very disappointed!! The girl working the counter at 8:45 on February 1,2026 with dark hair was so rude! She literally threw my donuts in a bag with a attitude. I asked her for a box so that my donuts wouldn't get destroyed. I am sure it's a policy to use bags when they can, to save money. But if you are getting specialty donuts with frosting and toppings, you don't want them to be destroyed. I am paying top dollar for these donuts. STOP being so cheap! Once again she threw them in the box, had an attitude the whole time. I don't know what her problem was. She should not be in the front helping people. Very poor customer service!!! *vegan review* this place USED to have the best vegan donuts around - I go every time I'm in the area, and to my sadness I was informed this time that they stopped making the amazing vegan donuts along with the cinnamon sugar vegan. Now, they only offer a vegan & gluten free donut, which is the previous GF recipe. I'm sad that they no longer separate the GF and Vegan options because those vegan ones from a year ago were stellar. They were more like a light and airy baked donut and now they are dense, heavy, and quite wet. I know I should be grateful that there even was a dairy free and vegan option, but not sure I will be returning if they stay this way. If I'm being honest, the vibes were cute but the donuts were just okay. I liked the bread part, but not the fillings. Still, I appreciated the variety (over 100 flavors). - Cold Brew ($4). Standard, but good. - Chai Cream Cheese Pillow ($3.80). The taste of the soft yeasted donut with glaze was good. However, the filling was uneven and lacking in flavor. There was hardly any cream cheese in the first half. The second half had more, but it was runny and translucent and did not taste like cream cheese. The flavor of the donut was not "chai", but general warm spices. - SLO Yo Roll Croissant ($5?). My bf got the blueberry roll croissant. The croissant had a very crispy and flaky outer shell, which wasn't greasy. The taste of the spiral was more bready than buttery and flaky, but I think that's just the sacrifice you make for the shape. I liked the flavor of the bread itself. My son was craving donuts so I found this place on Yelp. It is the second installation of SLOdoCo, with the first location being on Foothill. They're currently doing renovations, and there is no accessible ramp to enter the shop. I was excited to find so many variety of flavors as well as fun & beautifully decorated donuts. They even have a few that are vegan and gluten free. The staff is sooo helpful! I asked if the gluten free donuts were nut free (some gluten free items use almond flour), and she took the time to pull out a binder with the ingredients to check and show me to make sure I was ok with it, which I really appreciated (they use tapioca flour). My kids and I got a half dozen, plus a GF/vegan maple donut. Of what we got, I highly recommend the creme brulee donut. It is cream filled and has a slightly crunchy crust like the actual creme brulee. It is soo good! The sales person said that it's a local favorite, which I understand now. read more

I went to a doughnut shop recently and had a really bad experience. While eating my doughnut, I found a piece of metal and even a hair in the food. It was honestly disgusting and made me lose my appetite immediately. The shop seemed very unhygienic, and it made me question how carefully they prepare their food. Customer safety and cleanliness should always come first, especially at a place that serves food. I definitely would not recommend this doughnut shop to others after this experience. read more

So there's a new SLODOCO location in SLO. The new location is remodeled to make it a quaint place to hang out to study or chill for a while. This location is open 24-hours which is fantastic because the donuts are baked throughout the day/night. Xavier and Luke were super friendly and helped us pick out a box of goodies. Be careful of the parking lot as it's pretty dark at night. It would be nice to see this addressed by the city of SLO. If you're into donuts, this new location is great. This rude frumpy blonde got snippy with me rude as hell tells me next time tell her when I order. Ok if it was busy then yeah I see why she would be annoyed, but I was the only person ordering. No one else. To top it off she didn't even add creamer. Now idk how others people would act but my bad. she was rude enough to get me out of character. I threw a dollar at her and left. If I did live in the area I would never visit here again just because this girl was having a bad day because Tyler doesn't find her attractive and doesn't want to take her out in public, and her last boyfriend Chad is dating her little sister.
