We can't get enough of Foster's maple twists! Fluffy tender yeast dough with plenty of icing that settles into all the cracks and folds! 5-Star! Everyone who works there is so friendly, and today the baker made a special lemon filled twist for my husband since they were out of the regular lemon filled.

First time here and I have to say I really liked it ! We were greeted by the owner I think and he was so nice. We came in at 230pm and he still had a good amount of customers. The place was clean. Nowhere to snack at , but that's ok! The donuts were soo delicious. The right sweetness and tasted fresh with every bite. Such a yummy treat !!!

Everything you see here was delicious! (I sampled the old fashioned one which is why it looks like it's missing a piece;)

We found our new donut place! It's farther away but we'll worth the drive. The donuts are fluffy, fresh, perfectly sweetened (meaning not too sweet, but sweet enough). They're pretty much perfect! The fluffiness is unbelievable! The gentleman who helped us was so nice! He was friendly and patient as we tried to decide on our dozen. He was so sweet to throw in some donut holes too! Even those were lovely and fluffy -!: the glaze was just right too. We also tried the coffee and it was a solid coffee to have with donuts. Would definitely have it again. The donut display was nice and clean and inviting. Ticks all the boxes for me for our new go to donut place. Beats the donut shop in SLO big time! Thanks Foster's! Keep it up!

A bag of goodness. Variety of donuts.

Fond memories as a child returned when the simple things in life brought me joy. Donuts were one of those things and their donuts were so good! I must say it's so much better than the big chain names. The man behind the counter was filled with positive energy. I started my day right because of their customer service.

Donuts are dense. Service was fine, not overly friendly or very friendly at all. The female workers just silently stared at us without even a smile. You could at least try to be welcoming to patrons of your business. $30 for a dozen donuts. Will not be back. Not worth the money for the taste.

On this trip we tried a few different donut shops. We always seemed to go back to this location. Very friendly staff, yummy fresh donuts even later in the day. My husband ordered a cinnamon twist. The next time I wanted one but it was late afternoon they were sold out. But I got many other items. Then a few days later my husband surprised us with cinnamon twists. They are very yummy and flakey.

I'm always scared to try. Donut shops when traveling, but this one definitely did not disappoint. I always get croissants at shops, and I look for authentic food. This place hit the spot. The location was very well put together, easy to get in and out of! Had the donuts perfectly displayed so I can pick easy from what I wanted! The owner had a great attitude so nice and friendly. Will be returning when I come back to town for sure‼‼

I got a maple bar. It was ok. I think I like the other donut place by Ross better but the owners were very nice and this donut place is cleaner than the other one. I did not have to wait at all. Overall, I would come back here.

Love me some donuts and does this place take the prize for donuts. And the service we received was over the top - so friendly. And he went to the back and got us all the fresh warm donuts off rack for us. Foster's Donuts is a must.

So hard to find a good raisin danish. Was this one the best Ive ever had - no but it wasn't bad. The gentleman that served us was so nice and did everything to make us happy. He brought out the fresh just made donuts from the back and kept giving us donut holes to eat while we picked all of our treats. He even threw extras in our box for us. If we weren't traveling from out of town we would've packed that whole rack of donuts with us. The Apple fritter was probably one of the top fritters we've ever had and trust me, we have become the Apple fritter experts these days. This fritter is second to the best we've had at High Hill in Apple Hill. My boyfriend wouldn't stop talking about going back there to get more donuts. We will have to make another trip down to Pismo Beach and stop off at Fosters Donuts while we're there.

We had a great time visiting Foster's donuts this morning! Their maple bar doughnuts are the best we have ever had and are in a category all their own. We are from the Orange County and we drive here anytime we are remotely in the area! Not only were their donuts, amazing, but they are very kind and accepting to people with disabilities. My son is autistic, non-speaking and uses an AAC device to communicate, and they were very patient with him as he communicated with it. He was very loud and excited while ordering and they were so so kind to him each of the three times he went to order. I would come here just for their kindness and then throw in AMAZING donuts and it's an absolute yes!

Awesome donuts and truly kind people running the shop. Took a dozen sprinkle donuts to a final game and the kids loved them.

The donuts themselves are phenomenal, but they also make really solid breakfast options if you're not in the mood for something sweet. Their breakfast croissant sandwiches and bagel sandwiches are both great and worth trying. That said, the real standout here is their Vietnamese iced coffee. It's honestly the best I've had anywhere. I've tried Vietnamese iced coffee in different places across the U.S., and nothing has come close to DK's. Whatever they're doing, they've clearly figured it out, and it's a big reason I keep coming back. Parking is easy, and the inside is exactly what you'd expect from a classic donut shop. The staff is friendly and easy to work with, whether you're ordering something quick or picking out a larger order. They also offer a great variety of themed donuts for events like birthdays, holidays, work parties, or kids' celebrations, in addition to their regular selection. On top of that, they're available on delivery apps like DoorDash and Grubhub, which makes it even easier to get their coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches when you don't feel like going out. Out of all the donut shops out there, DK's definitely stands out. If you're in Arroyo Grande, it's absolutely worth stopping by.

We noticed a long line forming about 6:00am and asked family about what we were seeing (they live across the street). Store opens at 6:30am each morning and lines form before opening and throughout the entire time they are open...we discovered the line moves quickly due to the way they have the shop set up. When you first enter, you see both "kitchens" where the rolls are formed and created. We happened to catch a time when a roll was being made and it was fascinating! Soft dough, rolled out to a huge rectangle, covered with so many pats of margarine, huge sprinkles of sugar and their cinnamon spice (they sell it in bottles). The dough is then rolled with the addition of more sugar and cinnamon and then cut into large rolls. Nine rolls per baking pan and set aside to rise and then to baking. They offer several kinds of rolls including both frosted and unfrosted cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, walnut rolls, almond, and maple bacon. We had frosted ones and pecan and both were scrumptious and one of the best rolls we've had! They are best fresh and warm and they do offer some tables and chairs outside to sit and enjoy them! We didn't order but was told by several people that their coffee was excellent as well. I opted for the scrambled eggs that came with cheese on top the homemade house, potatoes, and an amazing biscuit. I also got the honey butter and the strawberry jam. My order came pretty quickly and off I went. Eggs - perfectly cooked and loved the addition of the cheese on top. Wasn't overpowering at all. Potatoes - I actually really loved these.
