I really love how this drink comforts me. Of course they offer all kinds of espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea based drinks, and pastries. I must admit I was a little bummed last time I visited as they no longer carry their breakfast sandwich. Service is always with a smile and everyone working here is most likely a student at the university. Lots of merchandise for sale from t-shirts to roasted coffee beans. There are three other locations besides this one but parking is really easy here so I almost always come to this location when I am in SLO. One more good note, Scout Coffee is family owned!

SloDoCo Donuts in San Luis Obispo is a donut lover's paradise! This cozy little spot had a small line, but it was well worth the wait. Their variety of donuts is unreal--you name it, they've got it! I grabbed a six-pack featuring a Nutella-style donut, a marshmallow donut, a Vienna cream donut (I believe), a Circus Circus, and a raspberry-filled donut. Every single one was legitimately delicious, without a single miss in the bunch. Their hot mocha was a surprising delight--normally I'm a mocha snob, but this was rich, perfectly balanced, and downright amazing. The staff? Absolute gems! The Toffee Chocolate has a light sprinkle of salt on top which just brings the perfect salty flavor to a sweet toffee dough. Their dough is truly made with brown butter, which brings such a nutty flavor to their shortbread. They do sell regular cookies as well but the shortbread is where it is at and we learned that the cookies came from the sister owners who gave them away at their sandwich shop. They have a few stores now in Paso, Caycucos and cookies are made at their production facility in Atascadero. Wonderful find!!
