We had to try out this donut place because 1-I love donuts 2- it had so many great reviews 3- it was my birthday trip Unfortunately at this time (aug2023) they were doing construction to the outside which limited some parking. Didn't stop us Walking into a little donut shop and you immediately see hundreds of colorful different types of donuts. Even offer gluten free too. It was very clean inside. Glad to hear they will be getting outside seating The gentleman could see our eyes were overwhelmed and talked us through We ended up getting 4 donuts, 2 each because we couldn't decide. We sat at the bar area, talked with other employees who were also friendly to us tourists. The donuts were NOT too sugary my favorite was the raspberry filling was so good. Not some cheap gel. Donut dough was light, didn't make you feel like you had heavy sense Rock. You get what I mean. We should have added a birthday candle to it, because it was my birthday cake I decided. The croissant was huge and fluffy. Asked to have it warmed up. That was so good!!! The cream cheese melting with bacon and jalapeños The espresso has a slight coffee flavor, not overbearing. I used to frequent the Foothill location often when I was a Cal Poly student. It was a good atmosphere for late-night studies and of course, delicious donuts. After I graduated and moved away from the college side of town, I found myself only visiting SloDoCo a couple of times a year at best. This new location used to home Sunshine Donuts, which I also enjoyed and had a lovely, cozy atmosphere. I was sad to see it go, but learned that the owners had retired and sold their shop to SloDoCo, who have kept up the charm of the old shop but maximized space and redesigned the interior to match their aesthetic. Still warm and friendly vibes - I know I can wander in any time day or night, pick up a tasty, fresh donut, and be treated kindly by their attentive staff. 5/5, very happy they're around the corner from me again. read more

Ok so I'm gluten free (sadly) so I have NOT had a donut in over 10 years... however this place said they have GF donuts. I assumed they would have just one flavor and wow!!! They had a whole tray. If you are GF you feel me. Several flavors and icings and they were the best GF treat I've ever had! Would 100% recommend to GF peeps and everyone else! Husband got the ham and cheese croissant and a regular old fashioned donut and he said it was delicious! Can't wait to go back next time we are in town. Tried their gluten free maple donut! Was super exited after not having donuts for a long time. It was a little cakey and thicker than a regular donut but still tastes super good. They have many other kind of crazy flavors of donuts to try and even a suggestion box for you to leave more flavor suggestions. Another gluten free spot I recommend, they put the gluten free donuts in a smaller case next to the bigger regular donut case which was super nice. Very cute inside and very nice staff! read more

Since moving to SLO, I was curious about this place. I finally got a chance to try it a few weeks ago and it loved it! The staff greeted me and have been very kind each time I come in. They even remembered me and I have only been there a few times! The donuts are great and the fun creations they have stand out. I tried their cereal donuts and these galaxy donuts they had and the taste and texture was delicious! Their other donuts are just as good. In particular, the maple pillow filled with Nutella (or other flavors such as pumpkin spice) tasted amazing! This donut alone is a major reason as to why I come back. I normally always get apple fritters when I enter a donut place but this donut has won me over. I always make it a a point to get this donut when come through. Still a great variety of donuts, from traditional maple & chocolate, to more exotic varieties, including some that are gluten free. We got a dozen, and the four of us made short work of them! This new location in SLO is awesome and as usual SloDoCo has amazing donuts! Of all the places I've been for donuts I would say they have the most variety and a TON of fun flavors to try. One of my favorite things they have is the pillow donuts which are just huge bar donuts with a variety of fillings. They have peanut butter, boysenberry, chai, Nutella and so many more. They have croissants. They have regular glazed and chocolate donuts as well as old fashioned varieties. They also have an awesome selection of gluten free options.
