I don't usually like donuts, but these ones were cute and delicious! Friendly and quick service.

Love seeing SLODOCO have so much success and open yet another location, this time in Paso! Per usual, there were tons of amazing donut flavors; all fresh. All the girls working were friendly. This is definitely one of their smaller locations, but there was still seating available inside along with a couple tables outside. In addition to donuts (including a spread of gluten free flavors), they also offer a variety of coffee, matcha, chai, thai tea, hot cocoa, etc. As a former SLOCAL, I was definitely happy to stop in this morning while enjoying a short visit in Paso.

Wow! I am very surprised about how good this place is their donuts are top tier and have so many options to choose from. Everyone who works here is super sweet and patient and I loved how the store was decorated for Halloween. There are little games on the tables you can play which is super fun! I will definitely be coming back here 10/10.

Your kids can color these boxes!!! Cool fun activity for the kiddos!!!

SLODOCO in Paso Robles is a donut lover's paradise! This place is an absolute sugar rush on steroids, serving up epic, creative donuts that'll blow your mind and your waist line- but who cares about waist lines when the maple donuts literally wink at you from behind the case. The selection is massive--think everything from classic glazed to wildly creative flavors that make every bite an adventure. Their maple bars? NEXT LEVEL, hands-down the best I've ever had. Even their "basic" donuts are far from the ordinary booooorinnng versions with a perfect balance of fluffy, sweet, and downright delicious. SLODOCO PASO ROBLES is the ultimate spot for large groups or anyone nursing a wine country hangover. These donuts are the perfect magical cure for your drunk ass. Grab dozen (or two) and watch your crew light up and praise you for the sugar rush about to ensue. They sell out fast, because these donuts are kinda like legal crack, so get there early to snag your favorites. Don't be whiner and get your hungover ass up and get in line! The place is fun, the staff is awesome, and the donuts are the perfect cure for your hangover. Whether you're a local, wedding wine party or just passing through Paso Robles, SLODOCO is a must-visit to scratch that donut itch! SPENCE and COCO

Donuts are good and big, really pretty too. But, unfortunally beign that big can cause that sometimes the dough won't be cooked in the middle. That was the case with this purchase. I was exited to try them again, but they were raw.

Of note, we were never given an option for indoor seating when making our reservation nor when we were seated. After ordering, we received our starter (shishito peppers) within 10 minutes. However once we finished the starter we waited an additional 30-40 minutes for our entrees. There was no communication from the wait staff at all, no refills on water, nothing. In fact in the patio dining area I saw three plates of food (including our peppers) delivered to tables in the hour we had been sitting there. Interestingly the wait staff all seemed very busy and moved around the restaurant but not much appeared to get done. Having worked in hospitality previously I have a lot of empathy for the staff as they seemed to lack direction and management support. My husband ordered the mushroom and scallop pasta. It was okay. Overpriced, but was tasty. I ordered the chile relleno and steak. The chile relleno was filled with a large amount of corn that tasted freezer burnt. My steak was thin and grey and overcooked. It was nearly all grey inside with a couple spots of pink. It wasn't seasoned either. The sauces on the plate were good. Our server was polite and did take it off the menu. However, no manager ever came by to check on us or any other table on the patio in the time we were there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. It was a real let down to have a lackluster food and service experience at "one of the nicest places" in Paso.

I ordered the beet salad and it was honestly the best beet salad I've ever had -- super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Total standout. My dad tried the salmon taco, which he thought was just okay. A bit greasy and not something he'd reorder, but still fine for a quick bite. The outdoor seating is lovely -- a peaceful garden-style patio that makes the whole experience feel relaxed and charming. My only wish is that the menu had a few more options, as it's definitely on the limited side. Overall, great ambiance, exceptional salad, the service is fast, friendly; a nice little stop if you're passing through Paso Robles.

The attention to detail throughout the entire evening reflects how much he truly loves what he does. From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a restaurant and more like being invited into someone's passion project. The intimacy of the setting made it special right away--small group, shared experience, and a level of attention you just don't get in a traditional dining environment. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but more importantly, it delivered. The food was the clear star--clean, intentional, and incredibly well-executed. Every dish felt like it had a purpose. The steak and mushrooms were a standout, and dessert was right there with it. The wine pairings introduced us to bottles we wouldn't normally find or order ourselves, which added to the experience. If anything, I would've loved even more storytelling around the pairings--how and why each wine was chosen to complement the dish--but that's a small note in an otherwise incredible night. What really elevated the evening was the host's passion. You can feel it in how the food is prepared, how the evening flows, and how guests are brought into the experience. It's not just dinner--it's connection, storytelling, and craftsmanship all rolled into one. If you're looking for something beyond a typical night out--something more curated, more personal--this is absolutely worth it. A memorable night all around.
