I live next door to DK's and when I walk to my car at 5am the smell is soooo good! You got to have will power to not get a donut every morning. When I do or my coworkers buy donuts, donut holes, and/or the ham and cheese (add jalapenos) croissant it is a great day at work. Staff is super friendly and sometimes we get extra donut holes in our box. read more

Easy to locate, plenty of parking options on the side, and was open early enough. My kiddo loved the donuts and I tried the bear claw with plenty of apple inside. Staff was friendly and service was prompt upon arrival. They have tables inside to enjoy a sweet treat and welcoming atmosphere to grab something to do or enjoy it there. read more

Been eating DK's donuts for 3+ decades. Used to go every Sunday after church. While I haven't lived in Paso for many years, they still make my favorite apple fritter and I always stop in when I'm in town. They're the best! read more

I showed up randomly at 2am today 6/29 because I was visiting a friend in Paso Robles. This place is open 24/7, and it had free parking and decent reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I waited for the only other customers to leave the open window for ordering, and I made my way to make my order. I was greeted by a Filipina with a very positive and friendly vibe, which was peculiar so early in the morning. She offered me cronuts, which just came out and were still warm. I took one and a Gatorade and ate it next to my Mustang. Not lying, but it was probably one of the best pastries I've ever tasted, even better than Stan's Donuts in Santa Clara, and also better than my favorite places in Paris and Rome overseas. I went back to the window for more, and the Filipina baker gave me a generous deal for 5 more fresh cronuts, two with strawberry topping. I'm Filipino too, and I felt like I had a memorable connection with the staff and food. This place should be on the bucket list of anybody visiting California. My only regret is not being able to tip much this time. Wish the staff the best. read more

It was just OK.. nothing really stands out. We tried three donuts- Glazed Old Fashion, Apple Fritter, and Custard filled chocolate round. They were all mediocre with nothing special about any of them . The store was not as clean as it could have been makes me wonder how clean the kitchen area is?? With several other donut shops nearby we probably will not return to DK Donuts again. read more

This is the best place to get donuts! Jenny is the best and made me cream filled maple glazed long John's since I dont like chocolate! She even warmed up my donut so I could eat it on my way with my coffee. This place is extremely clean. Donuts are deliciously tasteful and moist! A must stop if in the area!!! The lady serving was as pleasant as reviews make her out to be, and the donuts looked nice and fresh. Although no vegan donuts were available, all seems good. But I saw something here that made me sad for the rest of my day. A customer ahead of me bought a couple donuts but dropped both on the ground as he was exiting. The cashier noticed but did nothing to help, just said something negative about him and absolved herself of responsibility, which to be fair, it wasn't her fault. A little kid who saw it happen even suggested that she replace the donuts. I certainly hope the cashier leans in to her sweetness (no pun intended) more by helping out her patrons. read more

We stopped by D K Donuts just a little bit ago because I had a sweet tooth. The lady manning that counter, Jeannie (I asked her name) was amazing! She was funny, inviting and so very upbeat! She claimed that all the donuts tasted great with wine! Lol. She was a delight! Also, the donuts were very fresh and in abundance! Usually at this hour donut places have slim pickens! NOT THIS PLACE! I went in wanting one thing, but ended up getting all kinds of donuts! They also have a loyalty program. Buy 9, get 10th one free! This place is awesome and is open 24 hours. read more

OK, so maybe these aren't quite 5 star donuts, but honestly I'm not sure what makes a 5 star donut. If a donut becomes a 5 star donut, is it really even a donut anymore?... In my belief system, that's more of a pastry at that point. These are donuts. Traditional, old school donuts. Bring your grandpa here. He'll be thrilled to death. I bet they have those white speckled coffee cups with the brown rim. You know the kind I'm talking about. The donuts are delicious, fresh, inexpensive, and the beautiful woman behind the counter always flirts with me, and cracks slightly awkward jokes, which I look forward to. But the frosting on this fried dough emporium is the fact that THEY'RE OPEN 24 HOURS. IMO, it's not a real donut shop if it's not open 24 hours. My favorite donut shops have the word "OPEN" literally stenciled on their window. That is a level of commitment that I admire... but this is Paso Robles, so I can respect wanting to keep ones options open... So, I won't fault them for not hiring a stenciler. I want more of these types of places, and less places with stale cereal sprinkled on yesterdays donuts. read more

The donuts and customer service are very good. Unfortunately, the employees do not enforce their customers wear a mask during the COVID-19 restrictions. Small storefront has everyone in close proximity. Very disappointing. read more

Don't waste your time coming to this shop. I saw the employee drop the coconut and use a dirty dustpan and broom to sweep it up and then proceeded to dump into the container with the rest of the coconut. BE CAREFUL YOULL GET FOOD POISONING read more

*Update* Came in last Saturday and the doughnuts were so stale we didn't even eat the doughnuts we purchased, we just threw them in the trash. So disappointing. The inside of the shop was at least 90 degrees which made it so uncomfortable which is probably intentional because they don't want anyone hanging around inside, might as well remove the tables and chairs. We won't be back. I was going to give this doughnut shop two stars but upped it to three because they're open 24 hours a day. I've never had a super fresh doughnut from here no matter what time of day I go. Several doughnuts I've had were very dry, or stale. I've been coming here since I was a kid so props to them for staying open that many years when it seems not a lot of businesses around here can last that long ! read more

Like most donut shops, they cater to the morning crowd. This means they start their main daily baking at like 1 or 2 am. So toward the afternoon/evening they may be getting older. But, if you go in the middle of the night and ask for "whatever is still warm" then you will get the best donuts of your life. Their warm buttermilk donuts are flat out life changing. read more

Went to get donuts and read reviews on yelp. Wasn't what we expected, I assumed since we are here late (10:45p) we will get fresh dough. It was ok, not the fluffy flavorful donut I expected. I was a bit disappointed it tasted a little like store bought. Maybe I should have asked for a fresh batch or asked them if a fresh batch had came out since I saw a guy in the back making dough. Oh well maybe next time it will be better. I will try them during the day we shall see. read more

Went in today to buy 2 dozen donuts for my family. I had a bad experience because the lady that helped me was trying to charge me $50+ dollars for it. It threw me off. She saw my reaction and I asked for a receipt. Then she said "let me double check". She ended up charging me $32. I was expecting an apology or a few donut holes, but nothing. Donuts were good. But I still can't get over how she wanted to overcharge me. read more

It needs to be stated up front that I judge all donut shops by how well they make an old-fashioned donut. It's simple and classic. If you can't make an old-fashioned, what kind of donut shop are you? To which I say, this place makes a good, semi-satisfying mediocre donut that is most likely the size of your head... or your child's head. I have never seen donuts so big before in my entire life and for a pretty reasonable price. It's pretty cool that the place is open 24/7. Props to them for catering to the up late at night 'munchies' crowd. I'm sure they make good business that way. read more

Strangely an underserved market, DK's of So.Cal really the only other choice for anything beyond the basics in Paso Robles, SloDoCo resides in a barn-like structure on Spring Street where bags of flour and board games act as décor from 5am till 9pm Monday through Sunday. Not at all a concise concept, Rings along the back-wall difficult to decipher and those in the case varying significantly, arrival at 8:49am on Sunday oddly found many choices "sold out," though finding an alternative isn't so hard when such abundance is available. Friendly in terms of service, Mother's Day seeing several decorative options offered, $3.95 for a simple glazed Ring with a dollop of Oreo Cream feels expensive considering all three Yeasted options were no better than those yielded by commercial pre-Mix in terms of consistency. Equally unimpressed by the Fritter, even a small chunk of Apple hard to find, SloDoCo's Cruller performs well with a light and custard-y center while Blueberry Cake fares far better than a bone-dry Old-Fashioned cogwheel that may as well have been day-old.

It was nearly all grey inside with a couple spots of pink. It wasn't seasoned either. The sauces on the plate were good. Our server was polite and did take it off the menu. However, no manager ever came by to check on us or any other table on the patio in the time we were there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. Spanish for "estate," or in this case farm, counter-style service and limited interior seating part of Finca's charm, Chef Aguirre's training includes the likes of Suzanne Goin and Thomas Keller while California's central coast yields a bounty of Fish, Meat and Produce. Offering Baja style quick-casual Mexican Food since May of 2021, Avocados from Morro Bay mashed into under-seasoned Guacamole with freshly made Chips, ownership focuses on local Wines and spirits across a menu of beverages including housemade Agua Fresca with flavors that change daily. Pricey for what it is, though ownership clearly cares about local businesses from Mary's Poutry to Octopus and Shrimp from independent California fishermen, guests can choose to sit indoors or on a porch out front while dining on wood-grilled Steak or a California-style Burrito filled with battered Shrimp. Attuned to the flavor profile of its target audience, namely the sort of people touring Paso Robles' wineries, those expecting spicy Mexican cuisine need to keep this in mind as Jalapenos largely come pickled while other Peppers are tempered by Cream, leaving dishes like the Duck al Pastor nearly too sweet.

From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a restaurant and more like being invited into someone's passion project. The intimacy of the setting made it special right away--small group, shared experience, and a level of attention you just don't get in a traditional dining environment. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but more importantly, it delivered. The food was the clear star--clean, intentional, and incredibly well-executed. Every dish felt like it had a purpose. The steak and mushrooms were a standout, and dessert was right there with it. The wine pairings introduced us to bottles we wouldn't normally find or order ourselves, which added to the experience. If anything, I would've loved even more storytelling around the pairings--how and why each wine was chosen to complement the dish--but that's a small note in an otherwise incredible night. What really elevated the evening was the host's passion. You can feel it in how the food is prepared, how the evening flows, and how guests are brought into the experience.
