I'm only reviewing their beans and I have two simple things to say about them. 1. The beans are amazing. Top shelf. No better beans in town for sure. About as good as you'll find anywhere. If you care about your beans and you want the best, these are them. 2. There are no prices on these fantastic beans. Nor a price list to be found. And the prices are wildly different. Not inappropriately wild. The price differences are appropriate for the product. But this makes for a consistently awkward and frustrating purchasing experience. Know you want the cheapest? Grab the Arm in Arm. You're safe. In the mood for something new? Good luck! Their cheapest is $18 or so. But their other roasts might be $23. Maybe $25. Maybe $28. Sometimes over $30! So what do you do? Do you ask? There's almost always a line. Do you risk it? It is no fun to look cheap. $29 you say? Oh. Well. This is awkward, but .... No one likes to sound poor. Or stingy. And the workers (who are unfailingly kind and polite!) don't have the prices memorized. So if there's no line and you ask then you have to ask one by one. And again, sound cheap. Or broke. Amazing notes of blackberry and currants!! The baristas current favorite! How much? Oh, let me check.... After a while (buying a bag per week) I just switched almost permanently to Arm & Arm. My regular order is their unreasonable smooth yet deeply flavorful Oat Cortados - one of the better ones I've had. Great vibes inside for work or study, and an uber cool crew of staff play emcee to the patrons and make everyone feel welcome, entertained, and attended to. There's a reason for the 5-star rating here - it's hard to beat. I cannot recommend Slow Bloom enough. read more

I've gone to Slow Bloom several times in these past 2 months & my first ever time going, he helped my sister & I. We both immediately felt rushed in ordering & was very vague when we asked him about the new seasonal flavors. The coffee shop is beautiful inside but the staff other than the manager is so unfriendly and rude. I took my fiancé for the first time the other day & he's very sweet and always unbothered but he did ask me "What's that guys problem". He doesn't greet you, he just stares at you with a blank face as if he's bothered, until you order and when we asked if we can have half & half he gave us a look & while preparing our drink. We heard him ask the other barista there "Have you ever been these type of people". I can assure you getting half & half doesn't make you any different. I've been to over 50 coffee shops in my life because I'm simply in love with coffee and the idea of exploring new places and have not gotten anyone as terrible as this guy. If you don't like what you do, simply don't work at a job that requires you to interact with people :) or at least put a fake smile. It's baristas like you that make you have a crappy coffee trip when coffee is suppose to make you happy. read more

We came to get a coffee on a Friday night and it was my first time checking this place out. I ended up ordering the Gold Rush drink and it was really good! I love that they offered vegan marshmallows as well. This drink was technically not a coffee drink but they were nice enough to let us add an espresso shot into our drink. The employees here were really nice and patient while we decided what we wanted. The ambiance here is welcoming and there were people studying there and hanging out. They were playing music and we ended up sitting at the little bar they had and had our coffees there. The outdoor seating area was really cute and cozy. It looked like they might of been having a small event there. I definitely plan on coming back and trying another drink off the menu. I would definitely recommend this spot. read more

What a find! I was heading back to Rancho Mirage and decided I needed a double cappuccino. Slow Bloom came up and was close to my location at the time. Wow! It's pricey but worth it if an authentic union-run coffee house vibe is your thang. I love this coffee shop's unapologetic grass-roots "other-side-of-the-track" slow-blooming nature, AND their drinks are delicioSOOO. They also boast treats from Village Bakery in Calimesa - the "Queen Aman" muffin is a fantastic, not-too-sweet delight with an iced dirty almond chai. Slow Bloom offers two kinds of chai, and I found their spicy-chai less sweet than the other offering. It was super refreshing with authentic Indian spices. The baristas are always willing to offer advice regarding drink selection, which will help any novice overwhelmed by their seasonally rotating menu and robust (see what I did there?) coffee selection. The coffee speaks for itself. I need coffee in my life...to wake me up. When I drank this coffee (mocha w/oatmilk & add shot) the subtle flavor was mild but nice and earthy. A quarter way through the coffee I was like whoa my brain just woke up...then a little more than halfway through I was like...I'm ready for my jog!! I am so amazingly happy there is real artisan coffee in town again! I think next time I will stick to the regular version and not add shot unless I need to stay up all night. My ultimate favorite Redlands coffee shop. I exclusively get my matcha drinks here and it is phenomenal. I highly encourage vanilla syrup and oat milk in their iced matcha. It's so addicting that my bank account is crying. I give five stars for drinks and service but if I could give a rating for space, I would give like a four because on busy days, I can never find a table (inside or outside) so I have to turn around and go to a library. I'm SO happy to find this place! I usually work away from the office on Fridays and go to different coffee shops to catch up on some paperwork. I arrived before 9am and it was already packed inside! There is a lot of outdoor seating at least! Everyone, from the customers to the staff, is super friendly! I ordered the Rose Cardamom Latte and the subtle sweetness really makes it delicious. I also loved the decor. The whole experience reminds me of the coffee shops in OC and LA, so I'm extremely happy to have a great, local coffee shop that's MUCH closer to home. Will definitely come back, at maybe a much earlier time to get an indoor seat, hehe! You can tell the staff "pours" their heart and soul at this coffee shop, lol! On our way home from a weekend getaway in Running Springs I popped in to grab a coffee. It was 100 degrees out and I was in need of a caffeine boost! Loved the midcentury/60's vibe of the decor both inside and out. A trendy/hipster clientele occupying the seating within. They also had a spacious shaded patio area that would've been great for hanging out if it wasn't so hot outside (plus we needed to get home anyways!). No line, staff was quick to grab my order and fulfill it. I love lavender and flavors in my coffee, but often err on the side of caution and don't order sweetened drinks because even saying less sweet they end up being too sweet and I just feel disappointed, buuuut Slow Bloom hit the nail on the head and I'm so glad I opted for a lightly sweetened lavender latte! Pleasantly surprised by our experience here. We stopped by on our way to Oak Glen for a day trip. We are from West LA and love our coffee. We weren't expecting too much since it's a small town but the vibes here and the quality of the coffee were as if you'd be dropped in the middle of Silverlake. Service was also great as I overheard the barista having no problem with remaking a couple of cups of coffee for others there. Will be back once we go back to Oak Glen some day! read more
