PERFECT COFFEE SHOP EXPERIENCE! It's a shame this location closes at 8pm-ish as it's the perfect spot to cozy up, read or study! Orange street's location has plenty of tables and chairs for individual or group visits. My family and I stopped by for an ice blended drink and coffee before closing, the girls at the front were super quick and professional. Overall, this location had great vibes. I had a brief chat with an older lady who had a few coffee-related questions. I answered a few for her but then the ladies stepped in and clued her in. They were quiet, but kind. I saw plenty of coffee ground bags and tea powder on the shelves, I love the smell of Coffee Bean. They had a few merch items like small coffee cups, but nothing too crazy! Wish we had one of these in Seattle! My wife likes to get the white chocolate latte and the Vietnamese cold brew. I love their dark chocolate latte. They are all creamy and not too sweet. The nugget ice is fun, but does melt really fast. We recently tried both the turkey pesto sandwich and the chicken bacon ranch baguette. Both had really yummy bread and a good amount of meat and cheese. The sauces were more subtle, the pesto in particular I wish there was more of. They frequently run an "order a large, pay for a regular" special, so make sure you have an account in the app before you go in! read more

Honestly, I visit this location a lot. So I'm very disappointed to report my most recent experience. I always order ahead because I pick up my coffee on my way to work. Multiple times my order wasn't ready even though the loading circle had completely closed on the app. Today was no different. I understand that this is a busy location however it doesn't take too much to communicate. Also why is my order saying completed when it's not? I'm watching people come order get their drinks and leave. By the time I get my order it's cold, no stopper, and not even a single apology. I've been noticing customer service in this branch could use some improvement every time we stop by, but tonight is by far the most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. As soon as we entered the shop, the old gentleman went to the kitchen to notify the other employee, who made us feel she doesn't want to take our order despite us being courteous. The drinks were good but the bathroom... I swear I felt like I would've been safer and it would've been a lot cleaner had I just used the bathroom outside. One of the largest coffee bean and tea leaf's that I have been too. There were plenty of comfortable chairs and tables to sit, study, or hang out. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Came here in the evening time so they were running out of most bakery items that I wanted. The perfectly passion fruit ice tea is one of my favorites. I requested im for a certain amount of pumps of sweetness or you can order it unsweetened and the tropical flavors of the tea are still noted with each sip. I ordered online, drink came out fine, however the staff, particularly a girl there was very rude telling me "is that not your name" I can understand the misunderstanding or miscommunication there was whether my drink was ready or not, she merely said my name but wasn't clear of whether the drink was mine. She just turned it around and walked away. The Vietnamese coffee had a weird taste to it, kind of sour. It' my first time here so I'm not sure if that's normal for them or whether it would've been worth it to ask them to remake. It also kinda smelled bad in here, I don't know why or where it was coming from but it was prominent. I think it's from the AC because it'd smell worse whenever people would open the door and air would blast. This is the closest Coffee Bean store to us. We ordered online and unfortunately our second visit was just as unpleasant. The first time the employee was complaining that she was having a bad day and we saw another employee just standing around not offering to help her even though she could see customers waiting. Who knows? She could've been on a break, but that same employee stood around not helping for the second time we came here today. If you're on a break go to the back, just don't stand there making your customers think you're not doing your job. No one likes to wait for orders especially when the app tells you a time when your order will be ready. Don't get me wrong, we love their drinks they offer here, but the service at this store is lacking. We may just drive a bit further to get better service. read more

Don't come here unless you enjoy terrible customer service and horrible attitudes. Picking up an order we mobile ordered that took 35 minutes! We were going to cancel our order but it wouldn't let us. Boy at register insisted we could even after I told him we would wait. He said that there was a lot of orders before us. I get it but manage the orders, let people know there's a longer wait, change the pick times. Don't accept orders or go 20 minutes after the pick up! Then he said we had to get in the long line he was just complaining about, to pay for extra caramel the app doesn't let you add! And our order was a reward! I was so upset I had to have someone else go in and get it and then they didn't even add the Carmel! I don't care if it was our favorite place to go, we will never go back. Im a regular here at coffee bean, I come at least twice a week and it's always hard to catch any of these workers on a good day. They are always rude and frustrated while taking orders and preparing them. The worker with pink and black bangs specifically is uncomfortably rude and unapproachable. Do better coffee bean workers! I have been coming to coffee bean for over 10 years and the customer service experience here at this location was by far the worst I've ever experienced and that's including coffee beans inside of airports. I asked for a simple modification to my drink, and she told me "we don't really do that". There are people who order at Starbucks and at Coffee Beans that have several modifications to their drink. I don't understand why me asking for a splash of extreme into my vanilla ice blend was an issue? I have never been told no and then when I questioned it, I received attitude from both the cashier and the barista. So disappointing. The customer service the two women working behind the counter gave wasn't too good. the female with scarf over her two-toned colored hair didn't say hi, just can I help you? No smile, seemed I was interrupting talk with the coworker. The shop closes at 8:30 so... another - two - hours - to - go... whew! She was not interested or cared much that I was there to buy something, and she was working there to sell with smiling up-spirited service. I've read the reviews and thought I would try Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf - Redlands. I am not coming back. I don't expect a lot just genuine friendliness even if you fake it. The decor and appearance is ok, but the building and ambiance is not what will keep me returning. The park, library, emergency room, starbucks would be nicer to visit, have a drink, and a treat. While I was writing the review, one of the women, not politely asking either, for me to move from where I sat to the front of the shop. I did so that I could continue to drink my cold brew, which is good but that's besides the point. You would think if they want to work, if they like to work, then they would want to show, they need to show they care and represent your Redlands shop well. Arrived at 8:15. Young man chewing gum and wearing a beanie seemed to be annoyed there were people waiting to order. I ordered and waited for my drink. When my drink was ready I sat in the lobby. I also had a slice of walnut loaf. Looking around the store I could not find any napkins. So I went to the beanie wearing worker and asked for some napkins. His contemptuous look and action of tossing the napkins on the couter in my direction has turned me off from this store. Very poor customer service. read more

It can be a hit or miss at this Coffee Bean location. I've had plenty of good visits where the customer service is solid and the drinks are good, but I've also experienced really bad customer service and poor drinks. So it's a toss up on what you'll get. My most recent visit was not great at all. The barista at the register was pretty much checked out, ignored customers as they came up to order and was short with them when they were noticed. The baristas behind the bar seemed stressed and there was miscommunications with each other over who was making what drinks. We witnessed one barista yell at another over needing their area stocked and was very impatient that it was taking some time to do so. When drinks were completed, they were placed on the bar without calling out orders, so all of the customers at the time were confused whether the drinks were theirs, for other customers, or for mobiles etc. When we thought our drinks were finished, and I went up to ask, the barista snapped at me and said that he called out my order and I needed to pay attention. Another customer overheard and intervened, saying that he never called out the order and that he needed to check his attitude. On top of that, our drinks were made incorrectly but it wasn't worth dealing with him further to have a remake done. I completely understand how stressful it can be to work in a coffee shop, but it was upsetting to see how poorly the staff was treating each other and customers which completely killed the experience. I hope that they can improve and deliver a solid experience next time. read more

Came in yesterday to pick up a mobile order and was treated very rudely and interrupted repeatedly for a non issue. One of the drinks was super light and just tasted like watery milk when it was supposed to be a Hazelnut Latte with Oatmilk and Half Sweet. I've never had those be so light and watery, not even at this location. So my cousin went in to get it fixed, and he had repeated the order a bit wrong so we went in again to just get a shot of espresso which is all it needed really. Immediately, the older short lady with glasses and a long black ponytail ran to the register when we were being helped by a girl with short shaved colorful hair and glasses. She seemed upset and interrupted us talking to the cashier with "Is that the drink I just remade? Okay so what is it this time." With a sarcastic laugh. We told her what was wrong, and instead of letting us finish, she said "Okay so next time he needs to order the drink correctly or else we can't make it for you the way that you want." Which is confusing and rude, considering it's a drink we paid for AND it was already wrongly made the moment we picked it up as a MOBILE ORDER which shows exactly how we wanted it done. So there should've been no confusion. And that wasn't even the issue, it was the fact that it was completely wrong when we had barely picked it up, anything after that is understandable but they gave so much attitude that it was more confusing than aggravating. So we said "Well if it was made right the first time then we wouldn't have had to come in and everything would've been fine" as retaliation because we were met with so much rudeness and interruption instead of just hearing us out for 5 seconds. And afterwards when the drink was "remade" (It tasted the exact same, unless the people working today were just bad at making drinks because we don't have this issue ever at this location, and usually all the drinks are really good), the short older one said "If you don't like it this time then I'm just going to issue a refund" as if WE were the problem, and it wasn't the fact that the baristas maybe just didn't know what they were doing... Overall bad experience but I'm still coming over here because the Dark Chocolate Blended Drinks are always really good so what can you do lol read more
