Food was plenty- very clean, well lit, seating for 6-8 groups of 4-6, some bar top dining. The service is efficient. Tour order placed through self service computers also Counter service is available. Very reasonably priced burgers. Extremely large they come with various options which I loved. You don't have to get stuck with french fries. There is a charge for other side options however they're very delicious.

Ordered the Pick 3 through Uber Eats, and wow--what a meal! Everything arrived neatly packed and looked so inviting the moment I opened it. The egg rolls were stuffed to perfection, and those sliders? They just melted in my mouth! Even through Uber Eats, everything was unbelievably fresh and full of flavor. I was so impressed, I had to call and give them their well-deserved brownie points!

My friend and I finally got a chance to try Smackers. When we got there, we ordered directly from the store tablet. We then sat down in some high chairs while we waited for our order. I just noticed how clean the restaurant is. The workers did a really good job with how clean the restaurant is. When the lady let us know that our food was ready, I couldn't wait to open the bag. I ordered the Grilled Salmon Club with Spicy Fries, and my friend ordered the Grilled Chicken Pasta. The Grilled Salmon Club was absolutely amazing. The cajun remoulade just bought out all the flavors from the salmon, bacon, and cheese. The spicy fries were just okay nothing too special. I also tried a little of my friend's Grilled Chicken Pasta. The pasta was okay but needed more sauce and less oil.

This restaurant has had a lot of buzz for quite some time from locals to celebrities and for that reason I was in no hurry to try it. Today was the day that I got up and went out to try the Famous Grilled Salmon Club Sandwich. I got there around 6:30 and it was only 1 customer waiting , I didn't expect it to be that slow. The lady that took my order was very nice and professional. The restaurant was very clean and organized and even though they sell some fried options it didn't smell of old grease and smoke. I really appreciated that. Now, the bread was toasted a beautiful golden brown with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, Swiss and cheddar cheese and a nicely cooked piece of grilled salmon drizzled with remoulade sauce. That sandwich was delicious and a nice change from your typical "fast food" options. They have many choices on the menu and I can see what all of the hype is about. If you don't want to go inside there is a drive through, I got my order to go.

Though Smackers is a Memphis staple, I have never tried it, until now!!! And I must say, I am sad I didn't try it sooner!!! Not only is the food IMPECCABLE, I was also impressed with how personable and friendly the workers were!! They kept us informed on our order and also checked on us while we dined. The establishment is very clean and they were playing great music! It was a vibe for sure! It was so nice, I had to get it twice!!! (Went 2 days in a row )

The burger was pretty good but we waited a about an hour for the food. Service was okay they just definitely needed more help. The burger itself was very good. Crispy bacon and well cooked. The mozzarella sticks were okay at best. No type of cheese pull. The southwestern egg rolls were also very good! Warm and very flavorful. My brother also enjoyed the onion rings. Also all this food and they gave us 1 ranch and we had to pay for additional, that kinda sucks. Restaurant itself was very clean and it had a lot of tvs for the long wait. I'll likely give it one more try and hope that the crazy long wait was a one time thing.

    Onion Rings were great!

The food was good and the restaurant was very clean. The burger was good fries were delicious. The wings and sampler platter was all proportioned well and tasted great!!

Grilled Salmon Club sandwich with spicy fries

Grilled salmon club sandwich with spicy fries. Ok sandwich...salmon was salty. Fries were seasoned, not spicy. Small, open seating area. Placed order via touchscreen device on counter. No interaction with employees, outside of handing me napkins, my cup and food.

My sister, who lives out of state, sent me a #MrChimeTime IG video about Smackers and his review was so wonderful, that I had to drive the 5 miles down the road to see what's up. I played it safe for my picky husband and got him a cheeseburger and the Cajun sausage Philly for myself. He was pleased with the juiciness of the burger and loved the crisp outer portion of the soft fries and I agreed. I loved the snap and spice of my Cajun sausage. I look forward to trying them again.

    Will I Return?? Disappointing Service.

I haven't had the best of luck with Chinese food in Memphis so I did everything I could to suppress this unwanted craving, however, I just couldn't help myself. Little Petals pops up on Yelp as a possibility. I read the reviews and scrolled through the pictures. After looking at the location, I realized it was only an 8-minute drive from where we were. Why not, right? The restaurant is easy to miss. It sits right on the corner in an old shanty building nestled in the middle of downtown Memphis. The furniture and décor were of a standard Chinese eatery, nothing special; but the employees were warm and welcoming, greeting me with hellos and smiles. I got the black pepper chicken that came with a spring roll. I ordered an extra side of pork egg rolls because that's usually my go to. Everything was fantastic! It gives you the taste of that old school Chinese food you used to have as a kid, but better quality. The chicken was moist, flavorful and peppery. The egg rolls had the perfect amount of crispy crunch---they seemed handmade as well! Pricing is a little higher from when I was a kid, but you still won't break the bank here! As I started to think that great Chinese food was not an option for Memphis, Little Petals showed up at the right time and made me a believer!

So, Little Petals, i.e., Petals of a Peony, Jr.: no one was inside. I assume this to be per usual for 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It follows then, that the service was, um, efficient and bespoke. Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. A new go-to for lunch downtown.

There is plenty of parking in a lot across the street. We went inside and found it to be pretty busy, but we got a table for 4 quickly. The place was clean and homey-feeling and I loved the fact that they used disposable plates, utensils and napkins! It is probably way easier on the crew to clean up, and it adds to the relaxed atmosphere. I had the corn nuggets to start, yum! We finished them easily, they were so good. Then the entree of my chicken tenders, beans, and Mac and cheese came out, along with my sweet tea. The sweet tea was perfect, I drank a whole one during my meal and they gave me another to go in the souvenir Gus's cup. The food was just great, chicken was juicy and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Beans and Mac and cheese, delicious! I ate all of it even though I was stuffed. I even went so far as to order a piece of pecan pie for dessert, but unfortunately our server came back out to tell us they were out of it! Guess it wasn't meant to be (this time)! The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to grab a bite. I wasn't really a fan of the mac and cheese, as it leaned way too heavily on the processed cheese flavor and ended up overly cheesy in a not-so-great way. The texture and taste reminded me more of melted processed cheese than a rich, homemade mac and cheese. However, the service was delightful and easily made up for some of the disappointment with the sides. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the visit. While not everything hit the mark for me, the great service and tasty fried chicken make Gus's worth trying if you're in the mood for comfort food.

My server Georgia was nice and patient with me as I couldn't really decide what to order. I loved the live blues band. They sounded great! It was walking distance to my hotel and was on Beale street where all the restaurant and bars are located. I thought pricing was fair and portions were definitely generous. I ordered Mac n cheese kids meal and a Side of coleslaw and a piece of catfish. I didn't want the full platter as it was a lot of food and cost wise I was attempting to save a bit. Coleslaw was great. Not overly sweet or overly dressed. Mac n cheese was creamy but lacked seasoning. I was underwhelmed. Most disappointing thing was the catfish. Although it was seasoned well. It was crispy on top and greasy and mushy on the bottom. There was also a discrepancy on the price of the catfish filet. I asked ahead of time how much for a singe piece to see if cost wise it would make sense to order things the way I did. She quoted me a price and it was $2 more. Not about the money. But principle. A pet peeve of mine is asking for information and server giving out wrong info rather than double checking. But. Despite food not being great. I would come back and order something different... I loved the energy and vibe.

Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.
