I got a few drinks delivered via Door Dash and everything was delicious! I had the "Gazpacho," a mix of chopped fruits with orange and lime juice. The portions were generous, it was fresh, and it tasted like it was made by mom. The papaya "Licuado" was another banger because it is my favorite fruit & the drink really brought that pungent ripe papaya flavor that I love. I just finished a watermelon smoothie and it amazing. In my fridge I have the papaya "agua fresca" and I am sure it won't disappoint. Will order again. read more

This food truck is redonculously good. The agua frescas and smoothies are so fresh and tasty. The esquites is bomb. Bacon wrapped hotdog hits the spot. Fresas con crema were heavenly. Everything I have tried has been spot on. Additionally the service is so friendly. They do put one folding table and some stools out so there is a place to sit, but it's a food truck so expect that. The area they set up is a service street with good parking lots so it's well lit at night too. read more

So this food truck added on a little Pupusa pop up next to its truck and I am obsessed. The Pupusas are made to order, come with cabbage and salsa and only cost ~$4 each. I tried both the cheese Pupusa and the cheese + chicharron Pupusa and they were both tasty but I definitely prefer the cheese + chicharron one. Come support them; they are amazing! read more

Wait time could be better. I didn't like that they add food coloring to the natural fruit juice. When you order an agua fresca, you don't need it to look neon green. I could taste the natural fruit in it but didn't appreciate the fake color. LA dogs were tasty. read more

Omgggg i loved this place tonight!! I love that they have XS as a size option for pretty much most of the menu, as i get full easily, and the taste was sooo good, not super sweat but not bland, it was fresh and full of flavor. Also got a bacon wrapped hotdog and it was sooo good and made to order so very fresh. Everyone working there was very nice, service was quick and kind. This happened at least two more times since I last reviewed. We live an hour away, I check online, see they are open. We drive all the way to Long Beach (I haven't found any other agua fresca place I like). And they're not there! No heads up on their Instagram and when we called, they confirmed they weren't going to be there. I'm very disappointed and at this point will stop trying to make the drive to get my agua fresca. read more

I'm all for refreshing drinks on a hot day and the agua frescas here were just what I needed! Parked by the CVS on Atlantic, they have a wide array of menu items to choose from. I ordered a horchata and piña. The horchata had that classic horchata taste to it and the piña had a nice creaminess that I wasn't expecting but honestly made the drink come together so nicely! Customer service was great and they were so sweet taking my order. I definitely will be coming back in the future to try some of their other drinks! read more

This was a random and last minute choice... But it was super worth it I'm glad this location came up on my phone and I give it a chance. I took the long way around to see the other businesses in this small plaza, and I entered through the latter entrance, where the front counter and menu were directly in front of me. A couple of customers were already inside waiting for their mozzarella sticks while another customer was at the register placing her order. That gave me ample time to decide what smoothie to get. They have two sections of smoothies on the menu, and the Super Blend section was more expensive, and likely healthier, than the Whirl'd Famous section, so I wanted something from the Super Blend section. Since I wasn't planning to eat much vegetables for dinner that evening, I wanted something with greens. There were only two smoothies on their menu with the word "greens" in the name: Apples n Greens and Greens n Ginger. I had Apples n Greens at the Cerritos location, but didn't think it was anything special, but the Greens n Ginger sounded interesting enough that I asked the first employee at the register about it. That first employee seemed to have an indifferent, and borderline condescending, attitude towards me and didn't seem as knowledgeable about the menu because she recited the ingredients of the Greens n Ginger in a rather dubious manner. I still went with it since it sounded like a winner to me. It didn't take too long for the Greens n Ginger to be ready, but that's because the customer before me had also ordered that smoothie too, which I didn't know until the second employee making the drinks said it was for the other customer. The second employee only said the drink name, which made me think that was mine even though I had a feeling it wasn't because that would have been quite a large size for a small! This is a commonality at any Jamba you go to, and I wish their corporate office would have the mindset to think of such a scenario happening at any of their locations. I made a verbal comment about the odds of such an occurrence happening, but neither employee really responded. The first employee seemed to be annoyed when I asked her a question, and she didn't really show much courtesy or even appreciation for my business. The second employee was done making my drink, and when she placed it on the pickup counter, she said they decided to make a Large for me instead. Wow! Suddenly, the vibes turned a 180 as I got a much larger drink than I deserved! I suppose they must have felt bad about pulling my leg on the other customer's drink that they thought upgrading my free drink for free would make amends? I took a sip of the smoothie, and wow, it was much more flavorful than the Apples n Greens from the Cerritos location! I didn't like, however, that it was too thick, but it was only a minor nuisance at best since I was spending a great deal of time in the shop drafting this review on my phone lol. The first employee spent some time cleaning the floors and was much more polite when she asked me to move so she could sweep the area around me. However, she and her co-worker had way too much fun with the music, which was kind of disruptive to me, but not too much. They have three tables, each of which could seat three, but the chairs don't have back rests on them. They are arranged so that customers would be facing Atlantic Ave. I probably would have given 3 stars, but I'll give a 4th since they decided to upgrade my smoothie from a Small to a Large. Also, my reward still remained on my account somehow lol.

My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.
