The majority of our grocery shopping is done at another major chain which used to be local but is now just another cog in a huge corporate entity that doesn't seem to care about it stores, employees or customers. They put the hot dogs in a pan directly on the hot metal warmer surface which still burns the bun after a while. Safeway needs to invert the pan so the hot dog doesn't sit on direct heat. I bought two for lunch hoping that buying them mid-day the bun would not be overheated. The bun was burnt but still eatable. I will try again earlier and hope Safeway figures out how to keep the hot dogs warm without burning the bun and/or hot dog. I still like the other heated food. I saw a burger that looked good and hope to try one next time they make some.

Seafood is not cheap so if you are going to invest, you want good quality, and that's what you'll find. Generally, their fruits and vegetables are high quality as well, and sometimes you just have to sort through them to find the best choices. We also love not having to travel to Concord or the Tri-Valley to grab certain Asian pantry items. Once inside, there was a fish counter on the left side that featured live seafood and sashimi grade fish. I got some bluefin tuna at $29.99 a pound. Quality was good and the price was comparable to other specialty markets. I also got some ripe avocados for $1.19 each, which was way cheaper than Safeway. Aside from fresh seafood and produce, they appeared to carry a good variety of Asian staples. However, I was unable to check out that area because a shopper lost her pearl earring and multiple workers were helping her to find it. :-P This is a good place to shop if you live in the area, especially if you don't want to drive to Concord or Dublin for Asian items. 4 stars.

I asked what their top 3 flavors were: - Cranberry Pear - Peach - Sicilian Lemon I decided to try Peach. She added sparking water to it. Omg! That was even more delicious. I'm pretty sure any of these flavors will be a hit. Different flavored vinegars and olive oils adorned the walls! I was using self checkout with my grocery items and well within reason and there was no one in line. Out of nowhere the manager approached me and loudly said "this is for less than 15 times". Aside from the fact that her tone was unprovoked and publicly embarrassing, the sign reads "about 15 items". Management should focus on helping customers, not power tripping. Oh by the way, don't buy the strawberries here. More often than not they are moldy. You have better luck buying strawberries at the farmers market on Saturdays. To the store manager, Angela, how about addressing that issue, the broken door in the salad aisle, and the not so fresh bread? Thanks!
