I included all my correspondence with him here for proof. *Photos might be in reverse order* He spammed me with random posts, even though I was responding the whole time. He was the one ignoring me. I kept it professional, even though I was frustrated. Facebook review: "He was very helpful helping me attempt to fix my device before I sent it in and quick to fix it and send me videos of him fixing it. However, another problem with the device came up that I wanted to help him fix, but he ignored me, letting the issue drag out for 2 weeks while he had my customer's order all while spamming me with random Instagram posts to get me to respond, even though he was the one ignoring my requests to help him. I am a novice technician but seemingly have more experience with the device I sent in. He kept dodging my suggestions and requests to help, all the way to the end when it randomly started working." Edit, Reponse to the response on this review: As you can see, incredibly unprofessional. Don't use his service. I have been nothing but professional. He ignored my messages even though he broke my customer's device, then it magically fixed itself. I couldn't pay him when he broke the device, and I was responsive (see screenshots), but he ignored my messages, instead choosing to spam me with random messages. Now he's calling me more names. He threatened to sue me for libel over text message, even though I just stated what happened and never called him names. See added screenshot.

In a time when all of our stuff is made cheaply and expected to break, shops like this are a beacon of critical thinking and taking care of business. San Bernardino is like LA, you can find anything if you look hard enough. This part of town is rough - but preserve through if you are the kind of person who hates the throwaway culture that has been thrust upon us. My tv had a problem where is suddenly had no picture, but the sound worked. Googling around, I found some repair flow charts and determined the issue to be either the power board or LEDs. Since power boards are so cheap online, I tried that first. That wasn't the issue so I knew part of the LED backlight was bad and I was not interested in the careful/gentle nature of that type of repair. I found this shop and they were very friendly and straight forward. It cost $25 for diagnostic, which of course goes towards repair if you choose to do it (just like a mechanic). They were able to fix my issue same day (probably because these tvs are crap and they keep common fix components in stock). It ended up being ~$150 total and it is better than new because they put longer lasting LEDs in there than it started with. Yay! The repair tech recommended I get a good power strip to plug into to protect the LEDs for fluctuations in power that could make them go bad in the future. Note, he didn't sell it to me, he recommended it as a best practice. Good dude.

I don't usually write reviews, but QCQ Repair absolutely earned one…read more When I first started looking for someone to repair my Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 controller, I came across QCQ Repair. The only thing that initially made me hesitate was that it was a home-based business. I decided to keep looking around and even visited another highly rated repair shop in the area. Before I could even ask if they could repair my controller, they immediately recommended QCQ Repair. That told me everything I needed to know. From the moment I spoke with Jose, I could tell he genuinely knew what he was doing. With over 10 years of experience, his knowledge and professionalism stood out immediately. He took the time to listen to my concerns about my controller, understood how much sentimental value it had to me, and even understood how excited I was to play the upcoming Halo Remastered. What impressed me the most was his honesty. From the very beginning, he told me there was a possibility the controller couldn't be repaired because of how Microsoft designed the Elite Series 2. He didn't make promises he couldn't keep or give me false hope. Instead, he was upfront and transparent, and I respected that more than anything. I dropped my controller off on July 3rd, right before the holiday weekend, and he was still willing to take it in. A few days later, he contacted me with great news--he had successfully repaired it. Not only does my controller work perfectly again, but he also replaced the joystick with an upgraded component to help prevent the issue from happening again. The price was more than fair considering the complexity of the repair and the cost of replacing one of these controllers. What really sets QCQ Repair apart is that Jose genuinely cares about the quality of his work and his customers. His business isn't about getting people in and out as quickly as possible--it's about doing the job right. That's exactly why his reviews are so outstanding, and now I completely understand why so many people recommend him. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, honest, experienced, and takes pride in their work, I couldn't recommend QCQ Repair enough. I'll definitely be coming back if I ever need another repair. Thank you again, Jose. I truly appreciate bringing one of my favorite controllers back to life.

The tech also lost our power cable to our tv and gave us some generic one after scrambling around. They charge a Dx charge to be applied to the repairs, however we still had charges added on after the Dx was given and repairs done. they refused to give my husband the price he was quoted, even after he spoke with them over the phone and confirmed the charges before pick up multiple times. My husband is beyond upset. As it was the end of the day, he said he'd look at it and call me Monday. Monday afternoon rolled around and I got impatient and called him. He told me he had checked it out and it was the transformer, and that he'd call me on Tuesday with the estimate for a new transformer. Around noon on Tuesday, he called me back with his quote. While the cost was within reason, I opted not to have it repaired due to the receiver's age and the price I paid for it refurbished on a discount site years ago. Even with the diagnostic fee counting towards the total cost, I explained that I'd probably be better off putting the cost of the repair towards a newer receiver with modern features, and he seemed to understand. Had the receiver been worth more to me, I would have had no problem giving Andrew my business. The service was good (not kiss-your-ass-good like some entitled Yelpers seem to demand, but more honest and professional, which I appreciate), and he seems to have a lot of experience. His shop is a small storefront with bins of components and all the stuff you'd want to see in a repair shop. While my particular repair didn't make good financial sense, had I had a higher-end unit or a TV that was out of warranty, it would have definitely been better to fix it than to recycle it. In a world where electronics repair people are becoming scarcer, it's good to know that shops like this still exist.

Where they fell short was communication. I was quoted "a couple hours" on the repair, so I waited around most of the afternoon -- and it ended up not being ready until the next day. A quick heads-up that it'd run long would've saved me from wasting an afternoon in the parking lot. If they'd just kept me posted, this would've been an easy 5 stars. Would I go back? Probably, for the quality of work -- but I'd confirm the timeline up front and not count on the estimate.

WARNING: DO NOT take your devices here!…read more I brought my iPhone 15 Pro Max in with minor water damage after a trip. I told them upfront about the issue and clearly said that if it couldn't be fixed, I'd just go through insurance. The staff promised they could repair it and quoted me around $300, so I trusted them and left my phone. After that, it was one delay after another--they kept saying my new screen was "on the way." When I finally got my phone back, it started flickering and shutting off within just a few days. I brought it back, thinking it was under warranty, only to be told that they wouldn't fix it and that the flicker "wasn't covered." The manager, Brennan, will say whatever you want to hear just to get you to leave your device. It's all talk until you've paid, and then suddenly the story changes. I feel completely taken advantage of. If you value your phone, your time, or your money--go somewhere else or use your insurance instead. This location is unreliable, misleading, and not worth the risk. Easily the worst repair experience I've ever had.

I would…read moreusually try to restore it myself but I know he had been wanting to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 anyways so I took this as the opportunity to get the upgrade. Although I was trying to be thoughtful, it turned into a mistake that I took his computer here of all places... I dropped it off on a Sunday and they were trying to convince me to pay more to retrieve old files in which I declined. The guy told me he could have it done by approximately Wednesday. I told him he has until Friday evening in which he said that should have been more than enough time to restore it and install Windows 7 (or so he thought)... On Tuesday I checked my voicemail and I got a message from the Tech Center on Monday. A guy asked if I wanted to retrieve old files for extra money and that he won't work on it until I call him back to confirm the old info would be wiped... HOW ANNOYING!! I called back and he was giving me an attitude like it was MY PROBLEM he wasn't the guy I spoke with on Sunday and THAT GUY didn't note it. Well I'm sorry you guys need to all learn how to communicate and note shit better. Anyways I gave him the thumbs up to wipe the info and fix it... By Friday I still haven't heard from Tech Center so I called them. The girl who answered asked for my name... twice... and I even spelled it for her... then she puts someone else on... their manager... ohh the amount of colorful words that come to mind right about now... So he tells me that yesterday/Thursday they discovered that their Windows 7 installation disk was scratched or not working for whatever reason and they had just contacted their corporate to send them a new one WTFFFF! and he told me I can come get it and bring it back whenever it comes in. DUDE DOES IT LOOK LIKE I HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO WASTE ON YOUR DAMN SHOP?!?!? Apparently in his opinion he felt that he was being extremely helpful to me... Notice how I had to call them to find out such annoying news. Imagine if I didn't make the initiative to call in!!! I would have wasted a trip there -_-' They didn't even bother to inform me when they found out their stupid Windows 7 install disk had issues... And then on Saturday I came to demand for the tower back and it was a different guy there so I didn't want to yell at him. He wasn't the one I'm beefing... BUT he refused to give me back the computer ... Then I had to tell him the whole story... Wastes more of my precious time... Blah blah blah... Ultimately I got it back and my friend will fix it for free and install Windows 7 for free. Ironic as heck because I avoided asking my friend because I felt that it would take too long... What a fail! It could have been done by now.
