HORRIBLE. We're forced to use Smartaira in our building. for three months I had almost no service. I had to Ethernet to every device in my house. Now, nearly six months after moving in, it's barely better. I lost an entire day of work today because the internet is out and Smartaira won't give us any kind of estimate for its return. I have asked several times to be compensated for the months I've paid and gotten almost nothing. They say they don't throttle (which is illegal) but the tech that came to my apartment said it looked like it was being throttled. Oh, and don't bother calling them because you'll be on hold until the day you die. If you have a choice, don't go anywhere near this company if you want to keep your sanity...and your job. read more

We tried Smartaira for 60 days, and for our family was horrible. -- New devices, the mac address has to been given to Smartaira to enter on their servers. -- Continuelly, TVs, Xbox's, tablets and phones go of sync. -- When calling Customer Service or Support, they don't pick up. After leaving a message. They don't return calls period. -- Tier 2 or 3 Tickets written up due to technical issues, the customer service team schedules a call with the Tier 2 or 3 for the next day. They never call you even though an appointment has been scheduled. They are very cheap, $45.00 month. Yet, it is not worth having as an internet provider. The Customer Service and Support is horrible. It's as leasing a new Suburban Truck, fully loaded and yet it can not go more than 25 miles per hour and constantly breaks down. Everyone always complains in reviews but I wanted to say, Thank You! I worked with Shirley to get my internet and Direct TV package installed and she walked me through the entire process. Her customer service was amazing! Then the other night I lost my internet and Direct TV connections, I texted with Michael and he had it back in a short time. I can't thank both of them enough. Had an issue during the rain storm and internet went out, they communicated via email about the status and once they got the issue squared away my service was not working due to a router malfunction. This was when we found out that Bozzuto management had changed providers and contracted with Smartaira--they did not tell us. At my first apartment I signed up with them, while using Spectrum as the main internet user provider. The internet service and price was fine. It wasn't until I wanted to opt out that it became a nightmare. We informed them via the website that we are opting out and insuring that we were done with them since we had moved. We then set up the internet with spectrum for the remainder of our new apartment. I was then billed a month later for the same price as it was before. I called them, on a wait time of 2 hours. Finally getting a representative, she assured me that they would fix the issue and a technician would contact shortly. Within the hour was what I was told when I asked about an estimate. They never called me back. I had to do the same 2 hour wait the next day for a different agent to tell me I had to cancel my card from the bank first so they can review it and not accidentally charge me. A technician then got back to me about return policies for the router. Sounds good. They send me the label and I print it out. A few days later I'm suddenly charged a late fee on the last bill as well as a 160 dollar equipment fee that they said would take up to 10 days before they charged the equipment, not counting the days that it would take to deliver it alone. So I try and cut the middle man, and headed to there LA location at 620 W 135th St Gardena, CA 90248 United States to drop off the box myself as I was informed I could during the phone call. Upon arriving I can't find a single entrance to the facility and find out that a catering company rents out the building and doesn't know anything about the company. Mind you the name smartaria is plastered on the side of the building next to the freeway so it's visible from a pretty far distance. Now I'm waiting for what will most likely be another 2 hour call. They have no optimization to cancel online and require you to handle all cancellations and terms through calls/representatives. They also advertise that a representative would get back to me if I texted their service hotline and I never received a single reply for any of my questions. I would not recommending using them if you have other options within your range. read more

My service has been out nearly 24 hours, and after my 1st call lasting 30 minutes where the most the rep did with me was unplug/replug the router, the rep then hung up on me after I asked to speak to a manager and that waiting a week for a tech to come out was unacceptable! When I called back, the other 2 reps tried to help but couldn't source the issue and said they needed a tech to come out. The next available was 12/14. It is absolutely asinine this day and age to ask a customer to wait a WEEK before someone comes to fix the issue. If you can't handle the volume of complexes you monopolize with your service, then stop taking them on. I only had their service for 3 weeks. I'm currently sitting in Spectrum to pick up my new wifi box to start up faster than Smartaira could get a rep to fix the issue. read more

I am really enjoying my services with Smartaira! When I moved into my apartments, I was grateful for the INSTANTON services. The instructions to access the services were detailed and I love the quick responses to set up. Since I have been at my apartments, Smartaira has stopped by and hosted events and offered special promotions. When there are outages, the team is rapid in their response and usually sends a technician out to assess and restore service, immediately. Since I work from home, this is extremely important and I appreciate how efficient the team is. I would love to leave a 5 star review for Mitchell and Andrea! Their customer service is superb and any time I need assistance, they have been available and extremely helpful! Smartaira is lucky to have them on the team! Update: their tech support emailed me and blamed microwaves to be the reason for slower speeds, but not address the intermittent outages. This company is a joke. Last few months have been horrible with this service. Nonstop intermittent outages every 10-15 minutes , asked that they replaced the modem the first time but the tech said it was a main line issue to the apartment building and was fixed 10 minutes later it happened again. New tech came out replaced the modem now I'm not getting the speeds I'm paying for along with intermittent outrages again. Every time I call tech support no one picks up. I work from home and am on the phones for close to 12 hours. Having these non stop outages are costing me money. May as well try tmobile home internet as it's cheaper and at least the pick up their phones. read more

I have complained about this numerous times and the only reason I am with them still is because the apartment complex does not all any other provider. how is this even legal. I use Smartaira in Seattle, and it is the worst internet provider I've ever had. Frequent outages that last for several days. I don't have internet all day today, they wrote me that they are aware of the issue but don't know what to do and don't have an ETA when it will be fixed. Smartaira is garbage. Read the real reviews. unreliable. My issue is how corrupt they are. I left my modem with the management team downstairs, and I know they recieved it... but no one from smartaira logged it in, so they charged me 160 for their crap modem. When I disputed this, they pretended like "o well, we cant help you." So basically they recieved the modem from the property manager but pretend like they did not get it. Go with spectrum, its cheaper, and you have to make sure you get the promo they offer, because they are clowny too, and will try to charge you full price for any promo after they install it... but it is much more reliable, they are crooks too though. Those are our only 2 choices in this building. I tried calling verizon... they say 35 a month. I will try them when i move for 35 a month. We will see, my experience with the Corporations is that they know they own the government, and they just do whatever predatory thing they want, knowing no one is really overseeing them anymore... you really have to watch out- they know no one will do anything about it. The technician who came out to install the router, Miguel, was super knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The customer care rep, Michael Meserole, went above and beyond to make sure my concerns were heard and the work to be completed was done in an efficient and timely manner. Old company, Consolidate Smart Systems, just changed name, to Smartaira. I was praying new ownership because I love DTV and hate spectrum. Five years ago I left DTV for Spectrum solely because of this company, they never resolved any issues when they arose, Despite loving DTV platform way more than Spectrum. I still left. Two weeks ago, I saw that a new company has contract in same building i've lived for past 15 years. So I called them up, for my love of DTV. To make the switch. First time I called girl was really sweet, but for some reason her computer was down, but she would have someone call me back the next day. The next day someone called me back as she promised. Sweet! But I was in a meeting, missed call, so I tried calling back. No luck. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th time I called, there was always an issues, and they'd have someone call me back. Nobody ever did, The 5th, 6th and 7th time I called, u leave callback number and they call u back, usually within 5 mins. Two of those times an issue, someone would call back. Didn't. The 3rd time, rang twice, and I answered but apparantly too late. The 8th, 9th and 10th time I called, left callback number again. Waited by phone, half a ring into, i answered ASAP so I woldn't miss call, but they hung up. THIS IS NOT A JOKE, I CALLED 10-15 TIMES, NO EXAGGERATION!!! I'M A NEW CUSTOMER. THEY JUST DONE CARE! OMG, they are probably worse with new company than I ever remember them being the first time I was with them. Old company has 405 Google reviews 2.8 stars. Yelp reviews has 568 reviews and 2.0 stars. LOL New company are at 33 reviews 4.5 stars. Obviously these are friends and family. Give it 1-2 years when reviews hit 1-200. Theyll be at 2-3 stars again. Having lotta stars and only 2 stars is extremely difficult. But that was their rating. I cant believe my building would give them the contract to service DTV in our building. Theyre absolutely awful. I'm in shock. Can't call DTV direct to install, u have to go through them. Its safe to say I'll be sticking with Spectrum the next few years. This company is so bad it's a joke, they called right away after my previous yelp review. They cut off my Internet while I was working (work from home need computer). They stated it was because they didn't get my Feb payment. It was a nightmare getting them proof but they found they were trying to charge me twice and the second charge that was for a totally different amount was failing so I sent proof I paid, however they illegally took another payment that day WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION because they were still under the impression I had not paid (had not sent proof yet as it was impossible to reach anyone Friday). After posting a yelp review, suddenly they got back to me. They apologized and said they realized the error and would take care of it. They refunded the bogus charge that day and I updated my review as Monica in billing assured me the issue was fixed. Yesterday they attempted to take our another bogus payment and today they were successful via the automated payment system. Most of all this company is impossible to get problems solved and has caused my family such great stress. I am now contacting legal so I can sue as I work for financial company and we have very strict guidelines for payments and processing. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING PUTTING THEM IN YOUR COMPLEX OR IF YOU PERSONALLY. If anyone knows how I can pursue legal action. Companies need to be held accountable for the stress and problems their mistakes cause. worst internet service ever! Doesn't have a real 24/7 tech support as advertised, doesn't respond to tickets - I've called and emailed everyday for 8 days now and they haven't fixed the WiFi issue and the people who answer the phone can't do anything besides add a note to your ticket. My advice is to not move into an apartment that uses Smartaira if you want WiFi that is reliable. They aren't even a real ISP with infrastructure, they are a third-party ISP that uses other companies infrastructure. My apartment complex charges me $100 a month for this subpar internet & you as a tenant are not the real customer, your apartment complex is & they are making money off of you by using Smartaira by charging more than they get charged. They also say you will have WiFi where ever you are in the complex which is a total lie, I walk 5 steps out my door and WiFi drops. I will be talking to my state reps, attorney general, congressional reps and the FCC to address the issues with Smartaira, multi-unit ISP's and third-party ISP's because it's insane they should be able to operate in this manner. read more
