If you choose Smartaira as your provider, you're choosing painfully unreliable Wi-Fi and a customer support team that has no idea how to troubleshoot connectivity issues. For months I had to unplug and replug my router multiple times a day to get my Wi-Fi to work just for it to go down a again few hours later. This was the only "solution" customer service could come up with. The only time customer service was actually helpful was when I decided to cancel my plan (shoutout CJ). Save yourself the frustration and spend the extra few bucks for Wi-Fi that actually works. read more

I've had nothing but negative issues with this company. For the last 3 days I have had no internet. I've called at least 6x and every time someone drops the ball on my service issues. This internet company is the worst internet I have ever used. They "upgraded" my internet back in February and I have not had functioning internet since. I am in a small one bedroom apartment and my wifi does not even reach the kitchen which is 7 feet away and is constantly cutting out or disconnecting my devices. I have called the company countless times to try to resolve my issue and they have only once called back in the 10+ times I have called. I've had numerous service appointments cancelled on me. The internet quality and service are both terrible and it's incredibly expensive. If you have another option- go with the other option. read more

Fantastic installation experience today in our new apartment thanks to Miguel Chv! He hooked up our DirecTV and Internet service and made sure that they were running properly. But then he went several extra miles to configure the installation in such a way as to make it possible for us to easily use the previously hidden wired connections to the other rooms in our apartment. I came to visit my mom and her Internet has been down in her condo. She is elderly so she doesn't really understand how to fix a situation like this. Since my father passed away I've been trying to just figure out what he had for Internet etc...The building uses Smartaira for all the Internet services. Victoria was more than helpful with me while trying to figure out why her Internet wasn't working. She was patient with me because I am not tech savvy. So I recently moved to a new community and they are contracted with the building I was weary because I had never heard of the name before and I do not like slow Wi-Fi I booked an appointment with them they were able to come out the next day they even came earlier then the timeslot I had booked for Eric was my technician he was working in my unit while I was not in there and my belongings were already in the house nothing was touched or miss placed and I only say that because I have a lot of pricey eye-catching items I tried to tip him and he refused I was so happy with the service from beginning to end I've had the Wi-Fi for a whole day now I have three rings connected Xbox PlayStation phones and it works very fast THANKU ERIC ! They also communicate well I was able to communicate with him directly to tell him how to access my unit easier from the street installation was fast only took about 15 minutes which was crazy because I thought we would be an hour like spectrum read more

After an FCC complaint and a 1 star Yelp review the company reached out to me. They did offer an appropriate refund, and offered to troubleshoot the issue I was having to begin with. Unfortunately they didn't take this matter very seriously at all, and ignored my responses to them for nearly a week. They finally got back to me saying that they had accidentally responded to me internally in ZenDesk, but after 2 dozen e-mails I was just done with them. It blows my mind that a customer experience manager doesn't understand how to properly communicate with his customers through their chosen customer ticketing system, especially once they got wind of the terrible experience that they have provided multiple times now. In the future when I'm looking at rental properties, using Smartaira will be an absolute dealbreaker as I work from home and shouldn't have to settle for such a sub-standard implementation and customer experience. read more

Great service and response. I had a unique set up situation transferring service from a house to an apartment. Nick at the service desk handled this with great diligence and care. Our Communication was excellent. He worked through the issues and kept in touch until we resolved. I am in the Marketing business so I know how important the customer contact is. If I could give this company negative stars I would. I have had their internet in my apartment complex for a week and have had more issues with their service than I have ever had in my entire life. I have called for help over 10 times each of which a representative has told me an "engineer" would reach out in 3-4 hours and no one ever called. I have begged for them to send a technician out here to help me and they always brush it off or say they will elevate the issue. They are not helpful in anyway and their internet is awful. The internet will not even reach to all of the points in our small apartment, we literally have to sit directly underneath the router to connect our devices. Just an absolutely horrible experience. I would change companies in a heartbeat if it was not required by my apartment complex. read more

Had an issue with my TV and spoke with CJ who was very helpful and knowledgeable and set an appointment for the technician to come.

Absolutely the most frustrating account I have. Their webpage doesn't allow my IP address to connect to it, whether it be from my phone or my computer. I have to email them each time I need access to my account and wait for someone to give me a temporary link that only works half the time and they will not fix the issue. This is what I have to continue to do every single time I need to log in for any reason. In the most recent incident, my account was compromised and I got a new debit card. I haven't been able to log into my account to update my card, and when I emailed for help yet again to log in, they didn't respond. The next day my account was cut off for non payment and I got a late fee, which we can barely afford. Its extremely frustrating that I can't get anyone to respond and address my log in issue for months, and now I can't get into my portal or create an account because my email is in the system, yet when I try to reset my password, its not in the system. read more

I moved into a new community in which Smartaira is the internet provider and already had a router in the apartment. I called and setup an account with Monica. She was great and setup went very smooth. When I checked my router I couldn't see any lights so wasn't sure it was working, also, I had misplaced the setup paper work that had been left with the router. I called support and talked to Michael Meserole advising him of my situation and after talking we both felt the router wasn't working. They were having trouble getting a technician out in a reasonable amount of time and Michael was very helpful in getting an earlier appointment. The technician arrived the next day and found the router was working. He quickly got my tv setup. I think this matter was caused by my misplacing the instruction sheet that was left with the router. All in all happy with Smartaira. They have some very good employees and Michael and Monica are two great ones. read more
