UPDATED 3/18/2023 I went in covertly fuming on Feb 24,2023 , and was met with nothing but helpful attitude. Maybe having the big cheese there was the reason or maybe my unhappy voice messages made their rounds and everyone knew, anyhow - the result was a good one. I had a video and pictures showing my stuff in the unit and the staff realized what happened right away. The reason my locks were cut and replaced is because the employee who checked me in, keyed in the incorrect unit number. The double locks were cut off and I was able to get my stuff just fine. All and all, at least the problem was handled and I was treated with smiles and professionalism. ORIGINAL REVIEW 2/23/2023 Absolutely horrified! Started the service on December 2022, paid $99 for January (there was a set up fee of some sort which I got hit with there), paid $55 monthly fee for February and I go to my unit to retrieve somethings and my lock has been changed! Without even a word. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! All the google reviews have to fakes because it took the employee 2 hours to check me in on December 2022. 2 hours...while she was trying to remember her password, then entering my info. Now my lock has changed, they have slapped 2 locks on my unit and I do not even know if my stuff is still inside. Save yourself the trouble, look elsewhere. Now I have to drive there in the morning and hope that my items are there! I did buy insurance, but knowing these folks, that is a fake out too. read more

Elevator keypad has not been working for several months. People with storage on the second floor may or may not be able to get things to their units, depending on if you can get it to work from inside or not. HUGE yearly price hikes for no change in service (except a broken elevator.) Exit gate also been broken for a while. They are storing so many RVs and busses in the parking lot that soon there will be no room for anyone else. There is a long, nonsensical note next to the elevator claiming that there is some way to make it work from downstairs that starts with just pushing the button. It did not work--but if it had, anyone would have been able to go in, so why have a keypad at all? read more

The workers don't care about their customers at all. There are never any carts to transfer your storage items. There are spills everywhere that look like pee so clearly none of the workers ever walk around to check on your items or clean. Nobody answers the phone when you call the front desk. The electricity conveniently "never works" so you can rarely get into your storage locker anyway. Would recommend literally any other storage place before this one. read more

I wish i could give less than one star. After having a storage unit here for 14 years i was just informed my account was delinquent. Evidently the monthly fee went up and i was never notified. I sent my payment of $177 in on time but was informed the fee went up to $183 and it was $6 short. I just went to pay the $6 and was told i owed another $27 since it was 6 days late. Apparently there is a 15% late fee. I didn't know that since in over 14 years it's never been late. I said since i paid $177 on time i should only owe 15% of $6 not the entire $183. They shook their head and said nothing can be done. The good thing about this is it gives me incentive get rid of the things in storage and say goodbye to this place. This is a terrible way to treat a long time customer who has never been late with a payment. read more

If I could give this place a minus I would. They have absolutely no concern for prospect renters. Due to unforeseen circumstance we were very late moving. We called at 5:45 and they close at 6PM the person on the phone said we could go right over and could store our belongings. We got there at 5:50 the doors were locked. We told her we had called she said she did not care they were closed. Another man was also trying to pay for his unit and she argued with him but finally she let him in so he could pay. As we tried to enter she pulled door so hard from my hand that I was jerked back and she said stay outside. She would call her manager to see if she could work over time. She also told us we talked to a call center and she closes at 6PM no matter what call center said. We called Your Space storage and they did everything they could to help us including let us sign up for storage after 6PM. read more

To add to my previous review, I wish I could give these folks half a star. I complained about the filthy restroom and lack of supplies. I went there to put stuff in my locker and then drove around back to use the restroom. Found locks on both restroom doors blocking access. I was forced to go outside behind the dumpster enclosure to relieve myself, something I have never done before. I'm a woman of a certain age and can't hold it like I could when I was young. Went around to the office and asked the guy why the restrooms were locked. He told me people kept making messes and so management locked them. Told me they no longer have "public" restrooms. I said, "I'm not the public, I'm a customer." He then cavalierly added that they aren't a restaurant and aren't required to have them. I replied that I hoped they didn't mind that I had to take a leak behind the dumpsters. He snidely says, "Oh, how ladylike!" That's when I lost my shit. "Well what the hell do you expect people to do when there's always been a restroom and suddenly there isn't, with no warning or notice? You people are quick to send out letters about hiking the prices but something like this that's important to customers, not a word!" I left at that point but I was very angry. f*** this company. our furnature was ruined on their watch and we paid extra for insurance only to have to fight them tooth and nail to get any money what so ever to replace our belongings, the small amount of money that they offered to us was not even enough to buy a new couch. ill be happy when i see this company close down which i am sure will happen because its disgusting and filthy. read more

This storage facility has been through several owners and up until Smart Stop took over, they were great and were willing to work with me as I am only paid every two weeks. Smart Stop, to put it succinctly, sucks. The ladies' restroom is usually filthy with at least one stopped-up toilet and at least one stall out of paper. For a good while, they had no exterior parking lot lights so I was unable to use the facility. They told me that was "my choice" and I told them it was a choice they forced me to make by not having decent lighting for the customers. That's been fixed, but that 15% late fee is something they flat-out refuse to review. I was one day late because I didn't get paid until the next day. The office said they can't do anything about it. Gave me an email address to reach a district manager who did not, even after a follow-up email, respond. I've made calls to the office; no response. They obviously don't give a damn about their customers and that's all the reason I need to clean out my space and look for another cleaner and more reasonable facility. I have no respect for these people because they have none for their customers. They stink. read more
