Apparently,l she was just squeezing me in between her other, customer (a hair color procedure}although, my appointment was made several months ago. The time she spent with me was 15 minutes. She did not ask me how much I wanted trimmed etc. I had to stop her and tell her how much I wanted trimmed. She was clearly rushing me through the service. I was very clear on how I wanted my hair cut; I have shoulder length hair and wanted a precision cut, slightly longer just in front of the ear. What I got was about the worst hair cut I have ever had. Some areas were, one inch longer on the top layer. I called and she had me come back only to trim a very small area on the left side of my head. On her business card Ms. Shpiro calls herself a, " Master Designer." I question, how she got that designation. When I attempted to explain what I wanted done to my hair, she turned her back on me and said, " she had been cutting hair for 50 years, and knew how to do it. She also told me, "I guarantee my work." I was not about to have her wack on my hair a third time therefore, I found another hairdresser that took her time and did exactly what I asked her to do. Ms Shapiro, refused to give me a refund. So much for her guarantee. In less than a weeks time, I paid her $45.00 and my new stylist $60.00 total $105.00. I do not recommend Ms. Shapiro to anyone.

So! When I got my COVID vaccine shots I asked around to learn about the best hair colorists in Sedona. Many times over I heard about a couple of places, one of them being Elite. I went today to meet Kim Rose who I had spoken to a few weeks ago when booking my appointment. She is from California and was a hair stylist there for most of her career. She only recently moved to Sedona but smartly landed at a well known salon catering to color and style clients. She is planning to stay in Sedona and has quickly built up her clientele. I'm so impressed with Kim. She really took the initiative to suggest what to do especially given the natural colors that have been able to grow without color this past year. She suggested incorporating the beautiful natural light brown color of my base with low highlights to make the growth be less noticeable in between salon visits. She then painstakingly and expertly "foiled" my whole head. Quite a treat after a year, but the point is she tests listed an overall blonde look without being too blonde which is what I wanted. She perfected subtle in giving me a blonde makeover taking into account I'm not all grey and we can let the base be part of the mix of colors. Kim is a find! The salon is well run, clean, conveniently on 89A west sedona, and truly what I had hoped to find in my mew life in Sedona. I highly recommend.

I went to this salon to see if someone could fix it (I had never been there but my mom had and highly recommended). I had the pleasure of having Kirby Russel for my stylist. And words can not describe how AMAZING he was. Not only did he fix what Cassandra messed up, but he actually made my hair look like the photo that I brought to him. The same photo that I brought to Cassandra at great clips. Steer clear of Cassandra at great clips on willow creek and sandretto (I think sandretto is the other cross street). I have found my stylist for life! I highly recommend not only this salon, but Kirby. He's been doing hair for 19 years and is very very good at what he does!

I got lucky and she was up to going so I was desperately trying to find an available hairdresser. I signed onto Yelp to find one. I started at the north side of town and worked my way down every hairdresser listed on Yelp. 90% of the listed businesses were not in business anymore. One did not have availability, one went to voice mail and one was a fax number. Finally..... the last business at the far south of town answered. They said they would get her in. So we went. Thank goodness. Jade was her hair dresser. She did a nice job with her hair She was kind and understanding with my aging mother. I will definitely go back.
