She also was not familiar with the way I said the location's name where I said "tra boba" and she responded that "no, this is t-r-a boba and snacks". She couldn't even confirm the location being next to HK bbq, basically saying she doesn't know her own neighboring store. Overall was turned off by the experience and changed my boba plans to buy elsewhere. Maybe I'll come back when someone else more pleasant is working.

Their music was tasteful but trendy, and never too loud. The snacks were an occasional treat but SO GOOD, and the drinks were consistent. I always thought they were pricey, but I was paying for a nice ambiance, good service, consistent drinks and food, and guaranteed seats! But unfortunately Trà has gone down! They increased prices, added food that was NOT developed or tasted before rolling out, and they play weird loud chanting music the times I have been back. I have ordered the vietnamese coffee before, but recently it was watery when I received it and not full. My other favorite drink, passionfruit tea half sweet, is never going to be the same again. Every time I try to go back, it's inconsistent and ultimately not worth it anymore. I used to LOVE this place and I'm heartbroken. The nail in the coffin has been making the grave mistake of relying on my memory and ordering the popcorn chicken. Picture attached and speaks for itself! You are now better off going to Boba Tea House for your popcorn chicken and drinks.

I've been going here since it first opened during my college days! 15 years ago?! This place has consistently been so good. Ok fine maybe 1 time recently, my wintermelon tea was a little off. But normally and usually, it's always very good. Their brown sugar milk tea with mini boba. The best. It's my favorite. Even their popcorn chicken is amazing. I love you boba tea house! The merch is always cute too. My husband loves this place and even brought his hat from here to Japan when we went!

It could be a bit creamier, but it was still very enjoyable. The jasmine milk tea with regular sugar and light ice was just okay. I would not get it again since it tasted kind of bland. The main attraction here is definitely the popcorn chicken, however the food feels a little overpriced for the portion size. It was flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly salty, and crispy. Even at medium spice, it had a nice kick. There were no weird pieces either. The only downside is some inconsistency in size since a few pieces could be smaller. The mozzarella sticks were also very good. I prefer them with ketchup instead of marinara. They are your typical mozzarella sticks and taste good, but the popcorn chicken is what really stands out.

Somehow the foods were lacking of " umami " compared to the other previous visits. The kotoprak was a bit bland. Sate ayam was terrific. Mie ayam Jamur also need some " umami ". May be need more fried garlic and chicken fats (?) Overall we're good.

As a fellow Indonesian, this place is pretty good. Especially when the only time I can get some…read moreIndonesian food is when I make it myself. It's hard to find Indonesian places in the US, though luckily it's a bit more common in California. For ambiance, this is actually a place I prefer to get my food to go. It's a little busy on the weekends when I have time to go, and it's a bit of a tight squeeze inside. Think of like the inside of a gas station or 7/11 with some tables squeezed inside. Not my fave to sit in, but the food is pretty good. I've gotten the Nasi Goreng Ayam (chicken friend rice), Nasi Goreng Kambing (lamb fried rice), Risoles, and Soto Ayam Kuning. Chicken friend rice is def good, especially when you add some of the red sambal they give you (an asian spicy hot sauce), but not totally authentic with how they serve it Indonesian style. The gooeyness of the yolk mixed in the rice is part of what makes it so yummy. But still good the way they make it. Same for the lamb fried rice, but again still good. Just wish it had the over easy egg. Between the two, loved the chicken fried rice more than the lamb. The risoles could have been cooked longer, but I'm basing this off of my Oma's recipes, so maybe I'm being a little biased here. Still very good though - just a bit too wet (if that makes sense) when biting inside. The Soto Ayam Kuning was actually the best. Again, not exactly like my Oma's recipe so I'm a bit biased once again, but it was delicious in its own way. The mix of egg, vermicelli noodles, rice, friend onions, and veggies made it at least reminiscent of my Oma's recipe and it was delicious still even if it wasn't exactly like me Oma's (yes, I get that's a hard thing to reach to). Would def order again. Overall, love this place for some yummy Indonesian food to-go or via DoorDash. Ps. when I'm inside I always buy some Indonesian snacks in the "gas station side" of the restaurant like krupuk (shrimp crackers) and sambal.
