Ordered here a few times for take out. Dined inside this occasion which there were less than 10 customers seated. Clean and neat seating area. Got the double smash burger with no lettuce and tomatoes. Added pickles and tarter tots as a side. The staff came over and delivered the burger and tarter tots arrived in a tray. The display was surprisingly very appealing - the American cheese melted on the patties with pickles and red onions topped it. One bite and I was won over by the taste and quality of beef, fresh taste of pickles and onions. Def would go back.

I get that I've only been here one time and there could be a million variables and derivatives as to why things were bad but truly I don't give a damn as I'm not one of those prissy Yelpers who believes in making fifty visits and then coming up with an amalgamated score based on those visits. Everything about this place is truly a turd. I'm talking why bother one and done territory. The placement of the soda machine is asinine. Non-visible around the corner and in the back by the bathrooms. What a total dumbass design. After we order there was truly an issue finding a clean table. All of the tables by the windows were taken and the only thing open were the high top tables by the register. Nothing wrong with that except none of them were clean. Crumbs and food pieces all over the tables, chairs and the surrounding floor. The food itself is just...I don't know the right word to use. It's was just poorly prepared and beyond expensive for something that you could get at any number of places done better and cheaper. Blah beyond blah shoestring fries that were served borderline cool/cold. A Classic Smash and BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar which were small and greasy. Kind of crazy paying seven dollars for just this burger with the fries and drink being additional. At a regular Steak and Shake location their version of a Regular Smash and fries would sell for four bucks plus the drink. Here it's more like nine dollars plus the drink. Why? It's more or less the same thing. Oh wait I forgot. These are supposed to be I guess more "gourmet" burgers than the competition. Of course gourmet in French means we charge you more for the same thing as our competitors because we dress up the menu descriptions and make it sound like you're somehow getting more than you really are. In other words, we pander to you like you're an idiot and then wait for the sheeples to keep coming back. I'm not a fan of Five Guys but they kick this place's ass. A regular Steak and Shake will sell you the same basic stuff for half the price. The Burger Shack in Whitehall runs rings around this place in terms of quality, customer service at the point of ordering and actually having a clean store. If you're a hipster/yuppie/Jersey-LI transplant/McMansion owner who is in the mood for a nice overpriced and pretentious burger and fries here's you're spot. Anybody with a brain will go somewhere else for better food that costs in most cases a lot less.

Visited Smashburger for the first time after driving by it many times. Id also heard good things about Smashburger as a franchise. I had the classic Smashburger, Smash fries and an Oreo Milkshake. Total was about $14. Not exactly fast food prices, but to be expected as this isnt exactly fast food. Comparable to Five Guys Burgers. Burger was good, cooked fresh, got it with all the toppings that come with it on the menu (ie. lettuce, tomato, onion), although you can add any number of other toppings you want. (i wanted to keep it simple and their classic since it was my first). The burger tasted like a nice, fresh, clean burger, similar to something you'd make at home on the grill. toppings all seemed fresh. Smashfries were really good tossed in rosemary, garlic and olive oil. they also had just plain ones and sweet potato. they tasted similar to parmesan / truffle fries to some degree. The Oreo shake was somewhat disappointing, although it was exactly what it was supposed to be. For $5, it just tasted like a vanilla ice cream with Oreos mixed in (which is OK, nothing special), but the size seemed small for the cost. the cup looked pretty small, although the bottom said 16oz. For that cost, most other places ive been to would give you a much larger size. I wouldnt order another milkshake there for that reason. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast and friendly. plenty of seating inside and out, clean bathrooms and plenty of parking outside. Located in a large shopping plaza consisting of various different food and shopping stores.

Fish - I asked for no bread. Fish, haystack onions & chocolate milkshake $18.42 (I moved lettuce, tomatoes, cheese for pic)

When we arrived and saw that they were in a shopping mall, we were thinking about looking for somewhere else.... Boy I'm SO GLAD that we didn't! We arrived around 12:30 and they were packed - we were able to get a table outside (bar and inside dining area were too noisy for us)! Our server, Ariana O. was great! My wife enjoyed her Flamingo Fandango drink ($ 14.50) with the Torta Ahogada ($18.95) - both were delicious but the sandwich was very messy - better eaten with a knife and fork - and absolutely delicious as were their French fries that she had! I ordered the Beef "Cubano" sandwich ($ 17.95) with a side of golden beets ($ 2.00 up charge) glazed with the same horseradish sauce that was on the sandwich (Ariana's recommendation). Both were wonderful and we shared tastes of each other's items! It was worth the drive up and the impending drive back!!! We also shared a Dark Chocolate Custard pie that featured an Oreo type of crust with whipped cream and shaved dark chocolate as a topping - it tasted wonderful but I felt a little on the small size for the $ 12.95 price! All things considered, I would make the drive again to go back to experience the other items on the menu but as was suggested, I would definitely make a reservation for lunch and definitely would for dinner! FYI: their menu is seasonal so you want to view it online before you go!

On the way to Philly we wanted to stop and have a nice lunch and this place came up as a…read morerecommendation. I was initially on the fence about it since its in a shopping mall surrounded by chain restaurants and a wax salon, but I figured if it looked bad inside there was a Smashburger nearby. How wrong I was! The inside is absolutely stunning, what a beautiful space. It took a while to be seated since it was a holiday weekend but when we did we had a beautiful view of an indoor sunroom. We got the potato pierogi to start, which was fantastic, and my dish was the tofu scramble (with fruit as a side). The scramble had a surprising sweetness that was not unpleasant and was quite a large portion. Our server was great but he had a very strong and vibrant personality - which I did not care for when I first sat down and was tired and hangry, but he was great and won me over at the end, haha. Anyway, try this place, its amazing and next time I am in Allentown I will be back for sure.
