This place is horrible!!! Not only is the service reprehensible but so is the food. My husband waited in line for 40 minutes JUST to order our food. Then he waited ANOTHER 30 minutes for the food to come out. This is inexcusable! Then he goes to the car and checks the food before driving home, and good thing too because the order wasn't even 50% correct. The fries were missing, my bun wasn't on the side (as to not get soggy), and none of the sauces were included. So my husband goes back in, they asked what was wrong, he told them, then asked again what was wrong even though the ticket lists everything that should be there. Oh, and as for my bun, all they did was take the burger off, instead of giving me a new bun, so it was already soggy. To make it even worse, my husband ordered a milkshake to have while he was waiting and they couldn't even make that right. It was all milk and hardly any ice cream. No one paid attention to him as he was trying to get it remade, so he just drank his $4.50 worth of milk. If the food was even halfway edible I wouldn't even bother with this review, but the food was HORRIBLE. I ordered spicy fries, not salt with a side of fries. I love salt but these fries were drenched in salt. So much so I'm really thirsty now and I couldn't even eat them. Both of our burgers were overdone. Which is also unforgivable since they were made fresh. The burger was extremely dry, and slightly burnt. Oh and everything was cold, and we only live 10 minutes away. Instead of using foil wrappers like most burger places do to keep the food warm, this place uses plastic containers. That is such a waste and it does nothing to keep the food warm. We will never ever eat at Smashburger again, even if the food was free. What a ripoff!! We'll stick to Five Guys from now on. read more

This place is decent. I expected it to be better, but it was good. When I first got here it was around 2:00 on a Saturday and the line was basically almost out the door, that's how busy it was. I thought that was kind of strange but possibly a good sign since I know around 2:00 and 4:00 is usually a slower time for restaurants. The line moved fast, which I was also pleased with. After placing my order though I realized since it was so busy, there was almost no where to sit. All the tables were already occupied. Thankfully I was able to get a place to sit quickly, but I do think the place needs more seating. Especially for when it's busy like it was. Anyway, I received my food within a timely manner, also a pro to this place. It only took approximately 10 minuets. However, I was slightly disappointed. I expected my burger to be much bigger than it was. It honestly was only about the same size (maybe just slightly bigger) than what you'd get at a McDonalds. I also had asked for a plain cheeseburger with just cheese, but received lettuce and tomato on it. Again not a big deal, I just picked it right off but they should be able to get the order correct. Once I actually started eating though, everything was very good. The burger tasted much better than I had originally gave credit for when it was put in front of me. It had a lot of flavor to it, and was nice and juicy. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was very good and I did enjoy it a lot. The fries seemed like they may have been fresh cut and were absolutely delicious. No complaints at all with the fries. I also had an Oreo milkshake which was very thick and tasted great too. As far as other things are concerned, no big issues. I felt as if the place was kept clean and employees were quick to bus the tables. Every employee was also friendly and nice. For pricing, is say they are about average. Overall I did enjoy my meal here and I will probably be back. Comparing them to someplace else like Five Guys, I'd recommend Smashburger. Came in to order to go food 30 mins before close. After my order was taken and the ticket for the order was sent back to the kitchen, the grill cook yelled "were closed" loudly. I was offended to say the least. A young man who I assume was the manager came from around back laughing and assuring me that the cook was "just kidding". Me And my grandmother went to Smashburger today. She had a milkshake that was not up to par it was a cookies and cream milkshake and there was no cookies in the shake. We went up to the manager Cody and asked for a new one he said I'm sorry can't do shit about it word for word what he said. That was very upsetting but we would still live. The man at the register did not acknowledge she has a gluten allergy and did not take any safe precautions to do anything about it. We thought he would take it seriously but apparently not because 10 minutes later she went to the hospital with a severe allergic reaction. I wouldn't even recommend this for A pig. I stopped at this restaurant two times before I actually decided to wait in the line. The line has been very long at all times since opening about a week ago. I ordered the Buffalo Bleu burger and a side salad. The buffalo burger was served medium and had Frank's Hot Sauce, blue cheese crumble, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on the bun. I must say I really loved the burger. It tasted like it was right off the grill, had a crispy caramelized exterior and it was very very juicy and tasty. My kids were less impressed with their standard 4-ounce cheeseburgers. I also have to say that my side salad was probably one of the best I've had from a 'fast food' restaurant. I did not like the fries. The fries are way too thin and boring. They do sell "Smashburger fries" but I did not order those. Next time I will have to try a milkshake. I know some of the other reviews were critical of this location. I think a lot of these problems will be worked out over time. read more

Today was our first time eating at a Smashburger and we were sooooo pleased. The long line moved quickly, the very youthful staff were on their game (no immature chattiness with each other), the burgers (a classic and an American cheeseburger w/ grilled onions on a pretzel bun) were juicy and hot, the fries were crisp with the right amount of salt, and the haystack onions were spot on. Loss of a star for oddly placed fountain drinks, existing in one of most annoyingly laid out shopping complexes in the Lehigh Valley, and lack of instruction on what to do w/ the trash. With the proliferation of burger chains this place is a merely average burger. I would not go out of my way to get a burger from here when you can get an equal burger from any five guys, Jake's Wayback, or any other local burger place. The only reason that I could see choosing this place is if you are into some of the more unique ingredients they have here. If you want a fried egg, sliced avocado, or even feta cheese on your burger you might like to try this place. The other big difference between this place and the other burger chains are the french fries, they do the very thin matchstick like fries here, so if you like the more you might want to give this place a try. This location also has the worst layout of any place, I have no idea why you would put the drink station right next to the bathroom. Bad food, slow service and bad atmosphere. My milkshake was extremely liquidy and tasted like flavored milk. My chicken sandwich was drowned in grease and the slab of meat they threw on the bread was way to large and made it difficult to eat. My girlfriends burger was also excessively greasy and it made her sick all afternoon. Her milkshake also represented the same problems. The service was unbearably slow and it felt like no one knew what they were doing. To top it off the tables and floor were not clean. Early after grand opening, need to get kinks out, so we thought. Tonight fries were cold so we decided to ask for hot ones, we were given hot fries that were crunchy crispy and full of grease as if they had been fried a few times. We'll take our money across the parking lot to one of the other new restaurants that are consistent with their food, high in quality, and comparable in price. Located in the new Hamilton Crossing, along the Hamilton by-pass. A semi-counter service restaurant, where one orders at the counter and then they deliver it to your chosen table. No waste bins either, so they clean up, after you have finished. Basically burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, salads and shakes. The food slightly better than most counter service places, but not amazing. They have tables, booths, bar-top tables and outdoor patio tables. This is a chain, known in New Jersey and the West Coast. Now most of the other locations are connected to an App for quick ordering & pick up. This location presently does not not use an App and they claim their online ordering isn't working. If they can accomplish this, then they may be worth 3 stars. If you want a burger and a shake, chose this place over Steak & Shake. read more

I will never go back!! My daughter has a severe allergy to soy. We asked the cashier about the oil they use, if it contains soy. (we are very aware that some oils have soy in them) She went to the manager and asked him about it, he LAUGHED and said "it's oil". He was totally useless, the poor cashier was more help than he was. The line started to grow and people were getting impatient, understandable, but then the manager should have opened up the next register. Instead he chose to stand there and laugh. I tried the new Smashburger at Hamilton Crossings for dinner and came away a little bit disappointed. First, the layout of the place is bizarre. The soda fountain is around a corner and in front of the bathrooms, so it gets crowded fast. The cashier who took my order (Janasia) was rude. I asked her what the size difference between a regular and big burger was but she wouldn't answer until I gave my name. What's the point in not answering? She was also very short with her responses and seemed annoyed to even be there. It was busy, and maybe she was just having a bad day, but both my brother and I had the same experience with her. The rest of my service there was fantastic though. All of the runners bringing out the food were super friendly and helpful whenever anyone needed something. We ate outside and there was no caddy with napkins, salt, pepper, etc. at the table, so I went in looking for some napkins and a worker asked me if she could help me find something. She told me she'd bring one out right away, and she stopped what she was doing right away to do so. I can't say enough about how great they all were. The food itself was okay. I ordered a big size bbq, bacon cheddar burger, regular fries, and a regular drink. The first few bites were very good, but the food got really dry after that. I think the issues were the fries and the onion straws on the burger that did it. I personally wanted the fries to be thicker, but everyone likes their fries different. I did spend $13 on the meal though. That's what I would spend at Five Guys, and the food at Five Guys is much better. I'm inclined to give Smashburger another shot in the future though. I'd want to try a different burger (neither of my brothers had any complaints about theirs), and the runners left such a good impression that I'm definitely down to try it again. read more

Although hearing mixed reviews, wanted to try this place out for myself. The cashier had such an attitude, acting like he was doing me favor. I asked if they bring the food to the table and he handed me the number and replied "yes". Felt like a bunch of teenagers were running the place with no one really in charge. They seemed more interested in complaining about their hours to each other than serving customers. Tables were dirty and I cleaned mine with a wipe I had brought. It was lunchtime and not that busy. Cashier handed us a cup for my daughter's drink but never pointed out where you get the drink, which is weirdly located near the bathroom, out of sight. My daughter at one point thought maybe her kids meal came with the pricier bottled soda and took it right in front of the self involved, rude cashier. I told her to return it and the cashier, not even having a customer, never even noticed. My burger tasted like a shitty fast food burger. The only reason I did not give this place 1 star is because the fries were good. read more
