I went out of the way and did not get an experience expected of these premium prices. How do I ask for a $12 burger of the month with extra sauce, and get none? I might've made dry, tasteless burgers at home at a lower cost. And what are these burnt scraps where they put the bacon, such an unpleasant experience with each bite, as if I'm getting old charred spots from the grill. I had a Sweet BBQ sauce packet from Arby's that I pathetically had to use, and even then, it wasn't even nearly as decent as Arby's new brisket sandwich. Scorchin' fries were good, but half of it was an empty burger wrapper for some reason, maybe for excess oil but now I have half the fries. Vanilla shake was perfect, unlike my experience with this store. But that's more to Haagen-Dazs' credit. We ordered two chicken sandwiches, two regular sized fries, one soda, and I asked for a cup of water so I could take a pill. They charged $3 for the cup of water. I'm pretty sure that violates a law in NJ. You should always be able to get water at dine-in establishments for free. When the food arrived, someone dragged the smell of weed throughout the dining area, whether it was the employee or another customer, I'm not sure, but it stunk really bad in there. One plate had way more fries on it than the other. There was no explanation for it, so we ended up sharing. I don't think I will come to this Smashburger again. My favorite place to grab a quick bite! We came for lunch on a Monday and the place was pretty empty which was nice. The workers were very friendly and polite. I had the avocado bacon club double burger which is my favorite burger from here! My boyfriend got the new chorizo cheeseburger and he loved it! We also had to get a order of the smash fries which are sooo delicious. I like coming in here for lunch because of their nice dining area and high top tables. I wanted something quick to eat and decided to try this place. I parked in the parking lot and when I walked in, the place was pretty clean. I didn't know what to order so I asked the cashier for her opinion and she said she never ate any of the food before. I went with the crispy chicken sandwich and it came to about $7.50. Not sure if this a new practice at Smashburgers nationwide or just this location, but I noticed there was a wadded up burger wrapper at the bottom of my regular Smashfries? I'm assuming this is to reduce the amount of fries given but this is the craziest shrinkflation ripoff I've seen from a fast food place. It also took extremely long to get my order (single Smashburger & regular Smashfries), and saw that people who ordered after me were getting their orders before me. When I ordered there was no line, then after a bunch of people ordered after me we were all told that the orders would take an extra 15-20 minutes to come out. For burgers & fries?!! The bun is freshly baked, but for me it's small. I can finish at least two of it, lol. The beef patties are fresh and delicious. So as the veggies and the Swiss cheese in the triple double Smashburger. The smashfries are out of this world! The chocolate oreo is so delicious. I'm not sure what changed. I used to go to Smashburger all the time. The food was great. Feels like over the last year the place went to hell. Constant issues with cold food or cold fries. I see and hear others complaining about their orders. a few visits ago I dined in and found cheese on my plain hamburger they remade it no issue. Last night.. I ordered my burger to go. I get home to find 3 burnt patties. 2 of which had cheese bits on them. I say cheese bits... as in they put cheese on realized it was supposed to be plain... pulled the cheese off and continued to cook them... Maybe they burnt them to get the cheese off? I don't know, but I was too tired and didn't feel like driving all the way back to get them to re-make it. For the amount of money you pay for the food, it should be cooked right. Getting cheese on a plain - no cheese hamburger isn't an oops. If someone has allergies it can kill them. If someone has religious reasons, or dietary issues... It's a huge deal. Well, where do I start? One cashier, one other person behind the counter. We orders and he said, Wait right here, I will make your milkshake. Well as he was measuring out the ice cream, three more customers came in and he left masking my ordered and spent 10 minutes taking orders and explains the menu. The other person who was measuring the ice cream for shakes, finally finished the shake. We were not given a table number and the person who made The shake ended up searching for the table number, which was never given with the order. When she returned I asked if it was my order number, and it was. She proceeded to ice us the number and I returned to the table where my wife had sat at. We received our food, and for "Angus Burgers"that were cooked through, there was way too much grease dripping from it. The burger did not have Ketchup, and honestly was not enjoyable at all. For two burgers and a shake, costing almost $30, I would have rather went to a big time fast food restaurant and paid half the price and have the food done correctly. Up the road, there is a place that also does smash burgers, served on a fresh KAISER Roll and the staff actually puts what they have on the menu or your special request. I ordered a classic single smash burger and Buffalo chicken wings. The order took longer than usual because the cook dropped a wing. When I got home I realized they gave me the wrong burger. The gave me a classic double with bacon and no tomatoes and I told the cashier I don't eat pork. The Buffalo wings were chewy and had no flavor. I called and let them know I would be back and the promised to remake the burger. When I got there they wanted me to join there loyalty program and said corporate would send me something. Poor customer service, order wrong twice in a row & quality decline. My burger looked like someone sat on it & missing avocado which I paid almost 2 dollars for. Last time I ordered they got my order totally wrong and I couldn't eat bc don't eat mayo & it was drenched in it. So I called store & they told me to come in another day for a free meal. I did go in about a week later & they did provide me a free meal except there was so much salt on it my child couldn't eat his burger & I barely got through mine. I was starving and very much looking forward to a delicious burger. I tried to order on the app from my car but they asked for too much info for me to enter while driving so i just went inside. There were no humans at the register, just one employee filling orders into bags and calling out customer names. I waited a few mins and nobody came to take my order so i tried the touch screen. I touched it 2-3 times and nothing happened so i tried ordering on my phone again. After putting my order in the cart i went to check out and i chose the option to check out as a guest rather than signing up but that didn't work. Went there today with my wife and 2 kids. Guy at the register was friendly and was working hard. We go sit at a table, and an employee is sleeping at the table next to us. Yes, sleeping. My son slid his chair into a chair at her table, waking her up (too dam bad). Bitch made a noise and gave my son a dirty look, the went back to sleep. Food and service was very good otherwise, although a little expensive. How they allow this to go on is beyond me. Wouldn't happen if I was the manager or owner there.
