so much grease in the food

the food was alright at best. food was so greasy and it made me not want to eat any of it l, the picture is literally a puddle of grease. server was a di*k told him my food was greasy and he said we cant do anything about it, someone threw out all their food and left to go to the freddys nearby. as they were getting there food there was a trail of grease coming from the sever spilling it. it was so nasty to see all their food grease. I would NOT come here ever again.

We recently stopped into this Kingsley location, and here's the deal. The place itself was quite unkempt...and I hated the tight, awkward layout. Also, not sure why the lighting is so harsh? Not the most hospitable in terms of ambiance. No wonder the ratings aren't the greatest here! I had the Bacon Smashburger with Fries. I did not appreciate how they didn't warm up the buns (almost cold??), but the Angus Black burger was piping hot, fresh and delicious! I loved their skinny Fries too...not too greasy. If the buns were as warm/hot as the fresh patty, I might have even rated up to 4 stars (despite the sloppy ambiance of this place!). Everyone in my party loved the burgers and their sides, Onion Rings and Seasoned Fries. We also ordered SmashTots to share...and they were also delish. I'm not the biggest fan of burgers anymore, but if I'm ever in the mood, I'd be happy to return for more of their Angus Black Burgers!

Customer service was poor. I ordered over the phone. Showed up at 9:05pm to pick up my order; I called prior and told them that I would be there 5 minutes late to get my food. I show up and try to open the door, it's locked. Stephanie looks up at me (keep in mind there are other patrons still eating in the restaurant) she screams across the restaurant, "WERE CLOSED!" I said "I know that, I'm here to pick up an order".... Very disappointed with my over all reaction with the employees. ON A POSITIVE NOTE: The Brussels sprouts were incredible. I could've had a whole bowl full. I ate them with ranch but a chipotle ranch would've been killer. Additionally my burger was delicious!!

Gluten-free bun is the highlight. $16 for a single patty burger and large fries. And drink. The fries were sad, sad and stingy servings The Burger was well. Underwhelming. Not worth the gas.

Staff was very friendly and everything came out pretty fast. This place does not live up to its name smashed burger. The burger patties were your standard burger not smashed at all. Everything had good flavor and they clearly used fresh ingredients. Onion straws were a little greasy.

Trash cans were spilling with trash even though we were the only party eating inside.

It's a big red flag when you see a burger shack located in the heart of a very busy shopping complex, surrounding restaurants overflowing with people but yet this burger shack was dead empty: - Despite no line at the register, the cashiers ignored our party for under 5 minutes. - Despite the restaurant being dead, it took 33 minutes for our foot to arrive. Upon arrival it was an incomplete order and we had to have them go back and fix the order adding another 12 minutes. ITT oil me 3 trips to the cash register to have my order finally corrected. - Service stations had no napkins or condiments. - The place was filthy. Difficult to find tables that were cleaned or appropriately bussed. Trash cans were so full they were spilling out with trash. - Restrooms we're filthy. You're better off checking out the other eateries in the shopping center even though they may be busier.

According to the server, we received a smaller than normal order of pork rinds. Which wasn't that big of a deal because it literally looked like they opened the bag of gas station pork rinds and poured them onto a tray with seasoning. Fries were brought out later, but they were cold. The charcuterie board was good for quantity, but my mouth quickly got tired of the flavors. Everything seemed crazier than it needed to be, and none of the sauces really stood out. In fact, all of them were sweeter than I had expected. Oh yeah, when I ordered a Bud Light with a glass, the glass was dirty. So the food was definitely an under achieving moment. Next, the server was actually nice and the ambience was great. It's a smart looking establishment . But you don't go to a restaurant for the looks, you go for the food and in that regard, I was decidedly underwhelmed.

But it seems we had three large families walked in shortly before us. So the wait staff was stretched thin but the manager and our waitress both apologized for any delay. Once we got seated and our drink orders taken things moved more swiftly. The restaurant itself was nice. Lots of tables and booths also a big bar you can sit at including a large outdoor area. To start we got a sweet tea and I tried one of their spiked milkshakes! The sweet tea was just right and the milkshake was very good. A nice hit of alcohol in it with real chucks of ice cream! As usual for me, I had to try the Chicken and waffle sandwich! There were pieces of bacon in the batter that made the waffle and a large piece of deep fried chicken. The sandwich ate a bit dry so I asked for some syrup to pour over the waffle. It did come with a maple aioli but I just prefer regular syrup. The hand cut fries were thick but hot and fully cooked. Very good! My mom ordered the build your own burger instead of getting one of their many signature burgers. Her meal came thick and stacked and juicy! An amazing looking burger and she loved the onion strings. Next time I go back I think I wanna try The Wanderer burger because it looks very good! We also ordered a burger to go for my dad and our waitress was so good, she put the order in as our meals came out, so when we finished the togo burger came out and it was super hot! Amazing service! Fun place to eat with lots of options! Check it out!

Ashley was our server and she was amazing -- very attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. She really made the experience even better. We started with the pork belly skewers topped with ranch, BBQ, crushed cashews, and pickled red onions -- 10/10. Huge portion and packed with flavor. The balance of sweet, tangy, and crunchy was perfect. The chicken Caesar sandwich was sooo good. It's a massive sandwich with a crispy chicken cutlet topped with Caesar salad, pickled red onions, and chickpeas. Fair warning: it's a little hard to eat because of the size, but completely worth it. The dressing leans more vinegar-forward than creamy, which I personally loved. I'd honestly order it again just as a salad. The truffle parm fries were another 10/10 -- loaded with parmesan and full of flavor. The stout braised beef melt was amazing. Tons of meat and the flavors blended together perfectly. Definitely a standout. The pub chips with added Cajun seasoning were okay -- not bad, just nothing super special compared to everything else. As longtime fans of their previous food truck, we're so impressed with what they've grown into as a restaurant. It's clear they've kept the quality while elevating the whole experience. We'll absolutely be back!

came from Charlotte to try Elk Ave Tavern after seeing a TikTok food review claiming it had one of…read morethe "top five cheesesteaks," so I went in with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed. I ordered the cheesesteak, which was the main reason for my visit, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The bread was soggy, the meat was very small diced instead of the ribeye-style cuts you'd expect from a good cheesesteak, and the cheese tasted more like Kraft than anything premium. Overall, it was very bland and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. For $18 and about a 20-minute drive, I honestly expected much more. On the positive side, the Brussels sprouts were amazing -- easily the standout item from my visit. They were flavorful and cooked really well. The fries were fine too, but fries are fries and it's hard to mess those up. The staff were very nice and attentive, and the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself is a small, quaint place located in downtown Rock Hill across from the public library. I didn't have trouble parking, but it was around 12:30 on a Wednesday and the lot and nearby street parking were both pretty full, so I could see it being tighter during busier times. I also noticed this location used to be called Sweet Tea back around 2020 when they served chicken and waffles, so it was interesting to see how the space has changed. The menu overall isn't very large, and since I mainly came for the cheesesteak and it didn't meet my expectations, I don't see myself returning. In my personal opinion, Cheat's Cheesesteak Parlor still has the best cheesesteak in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. I really wanted to love this place, but based on this visit, it just didn't deliver for me.

What ever I've ordered in the past was cooked perfectly and tasted great (which is why I keep coming back when in a Bad Daddy's market). For the last few visits, I've gravitated to "Kim's Honey Chicken" which is a wonderfully flavored spiced honey and jalapeño ranch sandwich.
