Really good Americanized Greek joint on the SW side of Charlotte... Because American Airlines (AA) can't operationally manage their way out of a paper bag, I got stuck in Charlotte overnight trying to fly home... Bent over like a Vegas hooker, courtesy of AA? Finally stopped by March 2026. I Have wanted to try this place but just haven't made the time. Well today was the right time and I am very pleased with the result. Fresh and delicious lunch. We enjoyed a delicious Falafel Pita and the chicken skewers along with their lemon and chicken soup. The soup was especially good on this cold night! I'm glad we asked for the dessert (with pistachios on top - I forget the Greek name) to go as we were VERY and well satisfied from our meal. Dined here for the first time today. The crab cake sandwich was delicious from the specials menu. The crab cake was made in house and needed no dressing as it was moist and tasty. You can find pitas, salads, burgers and platters and appetizers and desserts. The space is bright with Mediterranean feels. And service is very friendly. Staff checked on us several times. They offer bottled beer and wine, self serve fountain soda, and canned beverages like Poppi and Perrier seltzer. I have ordered many things from Greek Grill but my favorite is their Aegean salad with added grilled salmon. It is extremely fresh and flavorful, and the pita bread on the side is unbelievably fresh, soft, and delicious. I crave it daily!! I have also tried their salmon pita wraps with Greek fries which were both out of this world yummy, too. I was happy to see a new Greek restaurant near our home, and I tried it almost instantly. It has a nice indoor and out door seating area and simple environment that still mirrors Greek design. The staff were all very friendly and hard working. I had the lamb gyro meat on a salad. The meat is cooked to order, so everything tastes very fresh and delicious. My brother got the gyro sandwich and said it's the best gyro he's had. The prices were also reasonable which is hard to come by these days. read more

Stayed at a nearby hotel while traveling, and decided to eat here after finding place in Yelp (always our first choice go-to option). What a pleasant surprise. We didn't want fancy, and here the prices were very reasonable and menu was more than adequate. However when we arrived we saw a specials board with a number of fresh seafood options n we chose Alaskan halibut and Hawaiian grouper, both of which were excellent. Had to have a gyro as well, just because...lamb! Many other good options available, and if we are back in the area we will try them! Ordered at the counter and was given number, expecting to be called when ready. Fair enough, low prices often equals self service. We were surprised when not only was meal delivered to us, but staff checked on us frequently, asked if they could get us anything else, cleared dishes almost before forks were put down and took great care of us. Kitchen seems very busy with takeout and delivery orders, but ours still arrived in timely manner and tasted fantastic. Definitely try out if you're looking for a hidden gem! read more

Time for an update on my last review. My first review was not so favorable for this Greek restaurant. I'm going to chalk it up to the impacts of COVID. I had ordered a Greek salad and neither the tomatoes or lettuce were fresh. I stopped in on Monday and placed an order for a Lamb Gyro and a Greek Salad to go. The gentleman who took my order was very friendly and nice and said, I can answer any questions about the menu. When you walk in, it's on a big board and there are so many choices. He said, I can hand you a smaller version if you wish. I made my selection and he handed me my number and invited me to have a seat. It was about 1130a on a Monday and I was sweating. He made a comment about the heat. I told him I just walked off the golf course. He said "oh, you must have played Tega Cay". For the next few moments we talked about some specific holes on the course. I got my order and sat down and ate the Gyro, It was delicious and fresh and probably one of the best I ever had. For dinner I had the salad. It was really good, fresh ingredients with nice chunks of Feta cheese and the dressing was excellent. I later learned I can add lamb, chicken, salmon or shrimp. My next visit, I will certainly do that. Later after reading their web site, I learned I was talking to the Owner, Nick Pahountis. The restaurant is clean with an adequate amount of inside tables and they also have a small outside patio as well. I've eaten here in the past, but it had been a while. Recently I was in the area, so I ordered takeout dinner for the hubby and myself. Hubby really liked the kefte platter, saying the flavor was really good and that it was tender. I always order a mezze platter at a mediterranean place because I like variety. I found the stuffed grape leaves to be much smaller than in the past and oddly sweet. The quality of the spanikopita was just not there at all. It's one of my favorite things but I could barely eat it. The hummus was very tasty, plus they give you a decent amount of pita to enjoy with it. I'm glad I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Or at least I was glad until I ate it. The chicken was very dry--could only stand a few bites. The salad itself was very fresh though. The owner is taking your order. Place is spotlessly clean and well kept. Parking is in a large lot fronting the restaurant. Pretty standard Greek offerings: hummus, salads, gyros, pitas, chicken souvlaki kebabs. Platters and hand-held. You can also get platters of lamb and falafel. Wife had a very nice Greek salad ($4.50 half/$7 full) which she declared excellent. I tried a Kefte ($11.95) which was seasoned beef patties with garlic, red onion, fresh parsley, greek oregano, cumin and ground black pepper, with fries. I had a choice of rice pilaf or fries. I've had this place a few times now and each time it is so good. Their food always tastes fresh and the food gets out quickly. The service is great and people are very nice and friendly here. I've only dined in once, and we sat outside but the atmosphere was nice inside the restaurant and even outside the restaurant. I love this place and so glad I live close by. read more

I've made several attempts to try the Greek Grille and haven't been successful. I made a point to stop in while running errands in the area. I called in a togo order while driving there. It was ready by the time I got there and we were only 10 minutes away. I placed an order for a Kid's Cheeseburger with Fries and a Lamb Burger without tatziki and tomato but got a side of ranch and Greek dressing. I was hoping for homemade ranch but it was store bought in a packet. The Greek dressing was homemade. The lamb burger was a thinner patty on top of romaine inside 2 pieces of pita bread. There was one black olive and a small hunk of feta cheese. I broke the feta up into pieces and put it on top of the burger. The Lamb meat was seasoned pretty well. I dipped the burger into the Greek dressing. This added to the flavor. We never opened the the ranch packet. The fries were crispy and perfectly salted. They have many different seasoned fries.I would love to try those and a few more of their menu items. They also have daily specials. I busted the location in Tega Cay b/c my friends were raving about the food and I wanted something healthy. The staff (a young ten male) was very personable and took my order with a lot of enthusiasm. I stayed in to wait on my food and got a fountain drink. The fountain drink machine was disgusting. Dried soda (I hope) and dust were stuck to the front of the machine. So if that was dirty I could not imagine what the area my drink and ice come out of are like. Food was good. Prices reasonable, food plated nicely and adequate portions. There is outside seating and the inside seating comfortable. We order salmon pita, lamb pita , all on a lettuce ( non bread preference), spanokapita special and felafel appetizer. Came to the Greek Grill yesterday for lunch. Got the salad, falafel, and gyro. Food came out quick. Salad is large and looking forward to leftovers, usually get the half salad for that reason - which I must say, love that they offer half or full salads. The lamb had excellent flavor! Their gyro's are some of the best I've had. The falafel was good, perfectly cooked but it was missing an extra spice or two to put them over the top or rank them with the best that I've had. I am so extremely happy with finally finding a fresh healthy flavorful take-out meal that is on my way home from my gym class! Lots of choices: I had a half salad with grilled salmon on it, which was more than enough for me, and my guy had a full salad with 2 well-seasoned Kefte patties. The grilled salmon was perfect! The salads were fresh; you can order a salad without lettuce, which I love and is more like the actual salad I had in Greece. They have various sandwiches, including the traditional Lamb Gyro with tzatziki, platters, fries with different options, spanakopita (spinach pie), and desserts!
