My experience today probably confirmed what it is a 3.1 rating on yelp. I got the potato fried that is double fried-- not fresh. I went to tell the manager can I have a new potato fried... even the regular one. he told me it was fresh when he gave it to me... come on man... I know what freshness look like. We are from Oregon and don't have a Smash Burger chain so decided to give it a try since Cheeseburgers are my favorite! I got the western with onion rings and bbq sauce and fries. I went to this place instead of the Jersey Mike's a few doors down, eager to try something new, and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful; since it was my first time, they patiently answered all my questions about the food. I decided on a hot dog, and oh man, the chili cheese dog with bacon was awesome! The bacon was the biggest surprise, with a deep flavor I haven't tasted in years. So many bacon-flavored foods are bland, but not this one. The hot dog itself was also delicious--very juicy and moist. To round out the meal, I opted for a half-and-half banana and strawberry shake, which was equally fabulous. I appreciated that they have strong Wi-Fi that doesn't cut out as often as it does at other restaurants. The atmosphere was clean and nice, with plenty of room for those who might wish to throw a party. I also had to use the restroom, and yes, it was clean. This is definitely a place I would bring my family and friends. When I arrived late around 7 p.m., it wasn't crowded. Cashier arbitrarily decided to shut down the shake machine 4 hours before close just minutes before I ordered. I watched as she let a line stack up at the register just so she can close said shake machine. Multiple people sitting around waiting for food to go out or have orders taken just to "preclose" literally before dinner time and hours before actual closing time. We visited this store at 315pm on May 21st. There were so many things wrong. If all these problems were stand alone we wouldn't have cared but because there were so many things wrong this is why I'm writing 1. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids 4 3 and 2. We ordered just 3 burger meals. If anything we were being frugal 4. We used the bathrooms and it was dirty. No seat covers and no way to dry our hands. 5. The wait for our burgers was 30mins. In the time we ordered there was a slight rush but still doesn't makes sense. 6. When we finally got our meal there was a long brown hair in the burger tray 7. When I went to refill my tea. It was out. And when I told the same girl who took my order. I had not been here in a while and now I am okay with not going here. I went on 1/29/2023 @ 11:30am. The service was just meh you can tell there are no adults working. There was 2 young girls working and a gentleman on the grill. Tables were dirty and no one was there besides myself and 2 other people. There is no reason why it cannot be clean, I tried to go to the restroom and you need a code but it seemed all the staff after putting our meals together vanished. I am thinking they were just hanging out back and could careless if we needed something. Will not be going to this one again. While placing my order I notice once of the cooks take a bite out of a hamburger and then proceeded to continue to cook the order. I mentioned to the register guy about out what I just witnessed which they immediately said she's the manager on shift. I requested the she changes her gloves before making my order. Soooooo I decided to give this location another go. And my first instincts was right to keep go-ing!!! The BBQ burger had maybe a splash of BBQ sauce. Seriously! The burger was delicious. I upgraded the tots but they only give you 8 -9 pieces. The tots are not worth the price. My review is going to focus on the environment. At 11 am, the doors were open but all the chairs were on the table, soda machine off and looked like nobody cleaned from the day before. The business hours posted on the door says they open at 10. The customer service worker looked like she was annoyed that we walked in. The burgers here are really good. The tots are decent. I rarely go here though because of how expensive the prices are. For 2 burger meals expect around $40-50. The price of a meal at a decent sit down restaurant. The reason for 2 stars however is the customer service. Out of the 10ish times I've been here, almost every time the girls working behind the counter seem to always be visibly unhappy. They have made me feel annoying every single time I've been there without question. One word answers, rushing the orders, incorrectly typing in orders and never asks to clarify, they just type in whatever sounds closest to what you said and push the order through. My roommate and I have an ongoing jokes about going into this place because of how terrible the service is every time. Its a shame because besides the steep price, the burgers are great. The workers were polite but somber, no music, AC barely works, there's yellow construction tape over the trash can and blocking off a corner filled with boards and tools. There was no ice for drinks and the food took over 20 minutes even though we were some of the only people there. My burger was great but my fries were unseasoned and oily. I love this smash burger. The staff have always been friendly and quick. I come to this smash burger on my lunch break and outside of work hours also. They do get busy for lunch time since they're located in a plaza with a bunch of other food places but nonetheless, they are still quick to get the food made. Placed an online order a few nights ago when looking for something quick. I arrived earlier than my scheduled time and looked for the "order pickup area" as stated on my confirmation email - turns out there is no order pickup area. I saw both people who were in line ahead of me (who didn't place an online order) get there food several minutes before I did. Once I finally got my food, the server asked if I would like any additional dipping sauces, which I thought was a nice touch. Most places think you are crazy if you need a sauce. When I got back home my husband and I ate our food. The turkey burger I got was pretty good - definitely very fresh. My husband said his burger was pretty good as well.
