It was a good meal and the employees were pleasant but it wasn't a steakhouse burger by any means. I haven't been to this location in a long time. Mostly because of COVID. I had a smash burger and smash fries and a coke. The burger was really good. I loved the smashed fries with the olive oil and garlic, no need for Ketchup. Even though I was eating in, due to COVID restrictions they put everything in a paper bag, no more trays. Extremely disappointed and humiliated with today's lack of customer service at this location. Came in with my parents today to enjoy a meal after work and not only did the staff not try to accommodate us when there were plenty of tables available more than 6 ft apart, the manager personally came out to tell me and my mom we could not sit outside either while there were two tables within a safe distance apart. We were willing to bear the 90 degree weather. I'm all about protecting and leveling up protocols to ensure client safety. I should know this as I practice this every day. I'm a nurse that works at a very busy OTP clinic in this neighborhood. However, the amount of distance between most tables at this location was exaggerated. Terrible customer service, we ordered and waited for 25mins until we finally got up and asked where our order was. The associates were super un-helpful. When asking about our order they said "let me check" and never came back with an update. 10 more minutes go by and when asking again where our order is they blames online and new associates for their mishap. The only new person was the guy taking orders and clearly he did his job, our order was taken. Very low attention to detail and terrible customer service. Easily one of the best fast food chain to eat at it's a bit on the pricier side but the ingredients are of higher quality as well as the overall experience of the meal. We're big Smashburger fans. We usually hit the one in Avondale off 99th Ave. Yesterday, though, we needed to visit Metro Center, and I was happy to find a Smashburger close by. Time was a concern for us, so we were happy when we walked in and found no line. We were REALLY happy when our food was out to our table in two minutes--we hadn't even mentioned our need for speed! The food was excellent. I love my custom grilled chicken sandwich, and my husband had a Smashburger. We shared veggie frites--one of my favorite sides anywhere, and healthy, too--and my husband also had a chocolate shake. The server timed that to come out just as my husband finished his burger, so it made for a good dessert. This location disappointed me. I stopped by for a meal and the red haired female employee was immensely rude and unprofessional. I was standing by the cashier for about 8-10 minutes unacknowledged with her back towards the front chatting and laughing with the guy behind the wall on the grill. She was making milkshakes and when she finally acknowledged me, she had an attitude and before I could even say anything told me there was a 25 minute wait. If this was the case she should have acknowledged her customers right away and inform. There were no people ahead of me waiting as the lobby had two other groups who already had their meals. With the attitude response she gave and actions which seemed she did not want to be there I left disappointed. She turned away the couple coming in as I was leaving as well. With that type of attitude she should not be employed in the service industry and find a job elsewhere. My coworkers have probably dragged me here like a bazillion of times, and every time this place has delivered an awesome experience. The service has always been fast, the staff members has always been funny and friendly!! They once let us use a bunch of coupons which I don't think was allowed, but they wanted our money so they did it. We have good high quality money too, crisped and unfolded. The place has always been super clean, and the restrooms is always kept up. I always order their kids meal because it's the exact amount of food I need without making me fall asleep at work afterwards. Their food is of some quality because it can stay in my body for a while.
