Just left this location and won't be back. Customer service is non-existent. So is the "fast" part of "fast food". So is the accuracy. So is the communication and accountability. It took over 30 minutes to make our food, with hardly anyone else in the restaurant, only for it to be missing the side, which was also prepared with the speed of an inexperienced sloth. The people in front of us also had an incorrect order after waiting a long time. How it takes that long to make food and still make it wrong, is beyond me. There were 4 people working. I've only lived in Phoenix since October. When I first got here I found the Smashburger on Bell. I ordered my food which was great by the way but the service was trash. I tried different burger places around town but I have to say Smashburger has been the best of the chains so far. Even though the service was trash I've been back to that location several times. Today I was in a different area of town and tried the Smashburger on Peoria. Again, the food was terrific and the service was better at this location but still, trash. In conclusion I've come to the understanding that Smashburger is the burger equivalent of Popeyes chicken. They have the best smash burgers in the Burger chain industry but the worst service you'll find anywhere in the in the business which is exactly what Popeyes is, the best chicken in the chain chicken industry but the trashiest service of any fast food place you'll ever go to! read more

Dymitrea was our waitress and she went above and beyond. We ate inside and I'm not able to eat a lot of food at one time and I saw the rosemary taters, but I chose not to order bc I wouldn't be able to eat them and made a comment that I'd have a couple of my husbands fry's. I ordered my custom burger on lettuce, to ensure I could eat it all and bless this child, when she brought my order, she brought me a small side of the taters to try! She said they had a few leftover from an order and didn't want me to pass up an opportunity to taste these great tater tots. Well not only was my burger great, but those rosemary tater tots were amazing! My husband's fry's were delicious as well, but those tater tots were delicious!!! Needless to say, we passed her a special tip and I wanted to post this review to not only brag about the food but Dymitrea. She didn't have to do this but made a choice to make my evening. Thank you again! If you're corporate and see this review, make sure you treat her good bc we both know how difficult it is to get employees that know how to represent your establishment. Went specifically to try the Colorado hot dog and it was pretty darn good. Messy, but good! The Nashville hot fries were pretty lacking, not very seasoned and just sitting in oil. Ehh. I have always loved this place. But I have been disappointed too many times to count. This is my last visit. Front of the house staff always seem pleasant but this place is NOT fast when it comes to your food and I don't understand why. I am sitting here waiting for my food and it's been over 20 minutes. After I ordered, I was sitting patiently there for 15 minutes. The manager (I think) was kind of snipping at the workers about cooking food, cook times and whatnot. I came here with a group of friends and first off, the menu is a little different from their online menu. It seems they like to put the doubles prominently on their screen and the single patties are in very small font. I remember when Smashburger used to always advertise all their extra ingredients that you can add to any of their burgers but it looks like this really cool feature is now part of their secret menu. I got a single beef patty avocado club smash burger and smash tots (which has olive oil and rosemary seasoning to it). All 4 of our orders totaled to $49.45 so expect to pay around $12-$13 to eat here. I would say that my meal was average and service was quite amiable. I remembered getting more tots/fries back in the past. Looks like costs are increasing to the point where they give out less food these days. read more

This place is almost always understaffed when we go on a Sunday afternoon. But today 8 of us in my party were refused service, both by the note on the front of the door and by a female employee, because there were only two people working that day. This is completely unacceptable for a chain restaurant. I hope corporate finds out about how poorly this location is managed and corrects it finally! Hire enough people that you have a pool of them to pull from when others call in. Pay well enough to hire good people. Have good managers that inspire others to work hard. *Picked up lunch on 4/10/23: First timer...& although I very rarely eat red meat, I decided on the Colorado burger w/ rosemary tots. The burger was DELICIOUS. So flavorful and the toasted chipotle bun was so good!! Only downside is the sad amount of rosemary tots I was given. Pic shows exactly how empty my container was (w/o even sneaking in a tot or two on the way home). I am a huge fan of their milkshakes. The burgers are steadily good. The chicken strips were great the first time and just alright the next time that I ordered them. I tend to order delivery via grub hub. I decided to join SmashRewards so I ordered pick up and that is why I am not giving them a full 5 stars. It's been several years since I was last at Smashburger! Unfortunately ABQ doesn't have a location so I have to travel to be able to enjoy the delicious food! Luckily as soon as I discovered this location near my hotel, I had to stop in! Im so glad I did! It's not often you see shroom burgers available so you know I just had to have it! The fresh juicy angus beef combined with the shrooms, and melted cheese leaving that aw yeah as you savor each bite. That is the experience this place leaves you with after taking that first bite. The fries are the nice encore that satisfies that craving. Like Harold and Kumar when they go to White Castle in that movie. Needless to say the place speaks for itself. The burger it's quite a smash! I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm near one! I savored every bit until my next return. Dinner food Smashburger. Their burger so good however their service not so well this evening. Had waited for about 45 mins for my order. I understand they may have a short handed staff. But they needed to get the orders of food in line. As one of the front desk women ahead was under pressure that she left her station somewhere in the kitchen. I had ordered a shake. That was never made. Along with customers waiting and food delivery (DoorDash, Postmates, etc.) were too also waiting for a while. One customer went up to the food counter for utensils. There's always been a debate with me and my friends about Smashburger Five Guys and all the other types of restaurants like this. Me personally, I haven't tried the Smash Burger so I had some time to go before a appointment and I went in. I got the double mushroom truffle Swiss burger which was to patties with a really nice Char cheese mushrooms and a garlic aoli mayonnaise. This was a really good burger and the burger overfilled of the bun which was a big plus for me. The fries had some Rosemary and cheese on them which gave them a really nice flavor and I find him to be really good. That's pretty much it as far as Smashburger versus five guys versus all the others just depends on your taste but my initial experience with Smashburger was a really good one and I plan on going back there again. We had a long 40 minute wait for two burgers and fries. The restaurant was not busy and we were not warned about the additional wait time. The burgers were opened within 4 minutes and were cold along with the fries. I am unsure why there was so much a wait time if the food was cold. It seems like workers were more concerned with completing online orders despite waiting 40 minutes. I understand that food service is difficult but Smash burger is a fast food restaurant and 40 minutes is not acceptable in my opinion. Greasy food. I ordered this the first time. A classic smash with extra grilled onion. It was so good!! I came a second time and got the same thing plus smash tots but there was a puddle of oil underneath all my food. It made everything soggy and oily. It may cause anal leakage. The burger was too greasy for me to eat. The tots were long gone because they were soaked in grease. It wasn't as tasty and they didn't put as much grilled onion as last time even though I asked for extra. So I've eaten at Shabbat in the past maybe about four years ago and loved it. My kids also love this place. They are very clean and orderly ave the staff was extremely welcoming! But this specific smashburger has exceeded all of that because one day a few months back when I was homeless, I walked into this establishment needing water and for the first time in weeks I didn't get dirty looks and judgmental comments from the staff or manager. I had my own water bottle but the manager came out and he gave me a large cup as well to put more water in. As I was getting the water, the manager then came back out and told me I could sit down for a little bit to get out of the heat if I needed to. I sat for a little bit and drank my water, refilled my bottle and left. It may not seem like much but this manager has no idea what showing that little bit of kindness did for me! When it felt like the world hated me and nobody cared, this person kept me moving forward a little bit longer! This is definitely a moment in my life that I will never forget and the fact that this establishment does not judge people based on how they look or what their situation is...you just don't see that anywhere else these days. The person working the register and bagging the food not only has HORRIBLE customer service, also is so unsanitary, Anastasia was her name. Quick! Quality! Cheap! We had never been to a Smashburger and decided to try it as takeout. The cashier was patient with us (it was our first time in) and friendly. I ordered a regular (5 oz) Arizona Smashburger and he got a crispy chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon. The Arizona Smashburger was pretty good, I wish it had more guac but for fast food and the cheap price, it's a good amount. Patty seemed small for 5 oz, but OK for the price. Sides: onion rings and fried pickles... both came with sauce and both were very good. Definitely would come back if in the area. read more

Love Smashburger's different burger choices. My favorite is the Colorado burger. The Smash fries are the best. I always get a large order.

The food is good but severely overpriced. $15 for a small combo is kinda crazy especially when they skimp out on the portions. Also your ingredients do not all of a sudden make up for the pricing, kinda gets old seeing places like this forget they aren't and never will be those high end restaurants, which is what made them appealing in the first place. read more
